I tell ya, this is one advantage of dating hardened career chicks - they think they are going somewhere and don't want an unexpected pregnancy derailing their dreams of world domination. I think that nights like these happen to all of us, it certainly happened to me before. Sometimes it seems like all the effort you put into your inner game/confidence only created a big house of cards, and one wrong turn can make it all collapse.

I'm sorry to say but i don't think you're as big of an ass as you might think. First of all, I sort of was in your position some time ago. I was invited to a birthday party where i was told there were going to be a lot of girls and fun. I grabbed a bottle of champagne and i headed there. Longstory short the people there sucked, the girls were busted, so i wanted to leave..but it wasn't like i was going to let my final bottle go to waste..so i excused myself, stole the bottle back and left - "strangely" enough the hottest girl at the party took a liking in me after i've done this obviously complete dick move. Once you got there and saw that your logistics were fucked and that your girl wasn't very responsive, you should've either tried to pull her from the house or just leave(with what was left of the bottle for bonus asshole points).

I don't think that teasing the people in the group was the smartest idea. Think about it, you're in their house, hitting on their friend, being the new guy in the group, you need a super strong frame to pull it off. I think the sweet-spot is when you're naturally an ass but when some asshole-ish things just "leak through" otherwise your best behavior - sort of what Hank Moody does.

I agree with Don - it was a tough situation (not your fault) and you probably overgamed (something you can do better next time).
