Cooking oil (such as vegetable oils) does NOT sound like a good idea for the most part - but I am a little biased in that regard because I do NOT even like the idea of cooking with those or otherwise ingesting them in various food products (even though they seem to be so prevalent and ubiquitous these days).

I could see using coconut oil, though, and probably would be a good idea. You can easily apply coconut all over the body and have good results. I have.. hehehehe.

By the way, I cook with coconut oil and butter and animal oils such as lard and tallow.... , and out of those, only coconut oil strikes me as good for body lube (I mean the unused stuff).
