If they're from western europe or any other country with U.S. ties they can come over anytime like any ordinary tourist and apply when they are here or whatever. For the third-world country girls, they would need a visa before they could come over to the U.S. to begin with. Therefore they would have to go through an agency and get picked by the family before they could even step foot in the country.

Yes, if they are already here in the US then they are good. Even if they are illegal, no one cares that your cute young babysitter is illegal.

If they need a visa just to get out of their country. Well, thats a different story. Though, I have heard of guys "sponsoring" their overseas girlfriend and helping her get a work visa. They pretend to hire her as an au pair but really she just comes to be his girlfriend for 6 months or whatever.

@houston ---It depends of course. But for the most part, they usually have no family or real friends in the area they go to. This is part of the appeal for the girls to travel abroad, they get to see a foreign land and sample the local dudes without anyone to judge them.
