You're mad about Amazon affiliate links. That is so weird. Everyone uses them and as you note, it's easy to see in the URL when people use them.

Readers asked me to use them. I've mentioned many times that I use them. In fact, I have been asked to write an eBook containing the "best of" blog content, just so that people can support D&P.

D&P a website with men of amazing generosity of spirit.

You simply don't fit in with such men.

Go figure out what's *really* bothering you (it ain't amazon links, brother) and then maybe you'll be ready for D&P.

Let me get this straight: you're upset because he's putting Amazon affiliate links on his site? How is D&P different from every other blog out there? If I read about something on a blog and see a link to the product, I assume it's an affiliate link. What's wrong with that? Are people supposed to do things and not be compensated?

P.S. It's funny that people are accusing me of being a sleazy marketer.

Most people on the forum didn't even know that D&P was my site. I rarely link to my own stuff, and that's only when it's relevant and useful.

I have never bought an ad, never bought a SoundCloud listen for my podcasts, never bought a Twitter follower, never had someone ghost write a blog post, and have never copied anyone's work.

All of my growth is organic and based on word of mouth referrals.

Good job with the fancy twists on logic. That is a rare skill. I am crazy. I am a stalker. Or maybe I am just someone who has been reading your blog consistently and does not like seeing four to five affiliate links being slipped into every post. You could easily say "affiliate link" next to each amazon link, but you do not.

Resentment is the wrong word here. I just don't like seeing affiliate links without you saying that is what they are. Talking about being an affiliate marketer is not the same as pointing out that the links are affiliate links within the blog post.

It was highly similar to G Manifesto's strategy: http://www.thegmanifesto.com/. His blog is filled with affiliate links.

I also read SwoopTheWorld, RooshV (obviously), Christian McQueen, Return of Kings, and WallStreetPlayboys. So far, I have not seen any of them use affiliate links. Maybe they have and I have just missed every single one of them. When they do try to make a profit, they make it clear that that is what they are doing.

To be honest, I don't need Danger & Play to become better, I can do fine on my own. Monetize your blog however you want. You won't have to worry about me "stalking" you any longer.

You took a shot on the D&P site and Mike responded rationally. Instead of responding rationally to his response here, you make the blatant mistake of going back to your original irrational (and irrelevant) comment. What made you think that RVF would be any more receptive to the same exact attack? Are you trying to see how far shit will fly here? I'm genuinely curious.

If you like MikeCF and his content so much, don't you think responding and entertaining something like this is a waste of his time? Do you think people care so much about affiliate links especially given the strong content he puts out? I don't and I know I'm not alone.

Roosh used to Tweet out books he was reading and you could see he had a separate campaign to track how many people bought via that special link.

Just look for that little word followed by a -20 (name-20)

So, yes, "everyone" is doing this. In fact, it's so common that I simply do not believe you do not know this.

Just view the page source and Ctrl+F for -20 and that will show the codes.

Again, you have no integrity and your presence is not welcome at D&P.

Amazon Affiliates gives between 4 and 8% commission on anything that is ordered through an affiliate link. That's it. If D&P says "Hey I liked this $10 book and got a lot of great information out of it" he's still only getting 40 to 80 cents. And that's if you don't buy a cheaper used copy.

It's not like D&P has dozens of banners and pop ups trying to sell sleazy $99 eBooks. The guy is basically saying "I got a lot out of this and you will too. If you're interested in the subject do me a favor and buy it through my site so that you can help support the blog." Getting 40 cents for a 2,000 word write-up, and accompanying podcast, about quality information isn't exactly some elaborate scam.

That site has a million dollars worth of content on it. I started doing static holds from one of the posts and beefed up. The information was free there, any other site would have packaged it up and sold it. I decided to use the site's advice on rough sex. Girls love it. Once again the content was free.

Whenever I buy anything I do so through one of the affiliate links on that site just to help support it. Without the sidebar now, I'll actually look through posts, find an affiliate link, and place my order. The site has millions of dollars worth information on it and no one has a gun to your head and is telling you you have to click an affiliate link.

Why does he think the way he thinks? Why does he feel betrayed when I link to Amazon?

Why doesn't he want me to make money?

How can he feel misled when he knows that they are affiliate links?

Why would he lie about the industry practice, claiming that no one but me used an Amazon affiliate link?

There is something about his mindset that is holding him back.

It's especially funny that he notes I never used to have an Amazon affiliate account, yet I still linked to amazon.

In other words, I haven't even changed my practices. I always linked to helpful material. Now I just take 5 extra seconds and make a little cash.

Mindset is so important.

The content on there is gold, free gold. Whether it's regarding TRT, training, mindset, the many podcasts, there's a wealth of information.

Complaining about affiliate links on a site that gives out information that could be easily be sold in the hundreds (and I would happily pay for it) is just ridiculous.

D&P alone answered taboo questions about steroids and TRT, not to mention general health tips and exercises, I almost feel guilty that I haven't spent a cent on it.

Mike, if you ever decide to run ads on your site (or if you already do) let me know to whitelist your webpage.

I was surprised, too.

I didn't have Google Analytics installed until around March, 2014. Before that I just used Jetpack/Wordpress's stats, so I don't know if the internal trend is increasing or not.
