RE: How important is a decent car?
This has been mentioned already but vibe and age matter. If you're young though you have a pass.

Audi's are expensive to take care of and if you ever need repairs, expect to be fucked.

And, a RED AUDI? Based on your age, insurance may fuck you too but the color makes it worse.

For your budget and reliability, my recommendation is a Camry/Sonata/Accord or even their slightly smaller versions in Corolla or Civic. These cars don't look bad, are affordable and they last a fucking long time without maintenance costs shooting through the roof.

And about girls, dude are you actually using this car to approach girls? If not, you're approaching them elsewhere and could possibly bring them back to the car at some point. By then, if you haven't run good game, she won't come to your car ANYWAY. And if she likes you, and you keep your car looking good and maintained, she won't care.

And another thing.

I'm not sure this has as much to do with the car man. You seem to be over thinking and seem self-conscious about something that's pretty irrelevant at this point in your life. As someone that is battling through similar issues, I would say check your inner game.

Maybe I don't speak for Miami though. I can see how this logic may not apply there. Maybe some of the Miami cats can chime in with some car game tips (unless it's already out there of course). Dodgy

If you want to swap cars for yourself it's okay, but if you want to do it because your VW isn't cool anymore, don't.

1) Friendworthy men won't care.

2) Girls see cars as glorified purses, they like expensive brands and just like shoes or purses, they can tell if a car is new. A brand new german car will help you (even if the ROI isn't great IMO), but anything older than 4-5yo won't give you any benefit.

If it's not new, expensive and trendy, they won't care what it is, in their eyes your old VW will be just as good as the 8yo audi you like. So as long as it's clean, you might as well not hurt your finances.

RE: How important is a decent car?
First and foremost, the question you should ask yourself in this (and virtually every) situation is 'Am I doing this because I want to, or because I think I need to?'
A car certainly helps with women in terms of logistics. It's convenient to be able to hop in your ride and head to wherever you need to at the drop of a hat.
And there's the clout of of being able to say you don't rely on public transport.
Owning an automobile was the ultimate symbol of freedom and independence in bygone decades after all.
I say upgrade only if you want to.

RE: How important is a decent car?
I don't think it matters much at all. I owned a BMW M3 while I was single and took quite a girls out on dates using that car. From my experiences, girls are just happy to be seen in a nice car. None of them were impressed by the fact that it was a fairly expensive BMW. The fact that it was always clean and in good condition was commented on quite often.

You spend a lot of time in your car and you want something reliable and efficient. I would honestly just get a newer VW diesel since you seem pretty happy with your current car. I think $6500 would be much better spent on a new VW diesel rather than an Audi. I think the Audi will end up costing you a lot more; repairs, fuel, maintenance, insurance etc.

That last bit, I can't emphasise enough.

I own a BMW 320i E90, and although being reliable, it just costs a fortune to maintain so I'm counting down the months until I move overseas so I can sell it (I Need it for work at the moment). For me the high costs of Insurance, repairs, servicing, it just doesn't justify
keeping on to this car.

Yep honestly you see these spoiled rich kids in upper tier luxury cars they aren't so special anymore honestly just get what kind of car you like because odds are that car will not impress them. The thing is that a car is a negligible factor unless of course you drive a Prius or compact sporty cars(Ford Fiesta or a Cube) then I'll just rag on you all day about how much of a pussy you are Laugh.

RE: How important is a decent car?
I drive a piece of shit. It is embarrassing at times.

I can't game girls from my car because my car is so low value.

I have lost a few girls because of my car.

I don't care.

I still managed to bang two 18 year olds, two 19 year olds, a 20 year old, and a 21 year old this past school year.

I usually pick up girls at night when they can't tell how bad it is. I also focus on younger girls who don't really care about car quality, they are happy if they don't have to take the bus.

So, for me, a decent car is not all that important. I can still get results.

But, every mans situation is different. I have other factors working for me that allow me to have success despite my car. I target younger girls, I approach in mass numbers, I have a decent look, I have good logistics, etc.

My car might scare away a few girls but I approach so many, I still can get some who want to hang out.

Another guy might be approaching older women with higher standards of living. For that guy, a shitty car might hurt his results a lot more.

This is another reason why I stick to college girls, they are so much easier to please.

If I dated girls my own age (38), they would probably think I was a loser because of my car.

Freshman college girls
don't know the difference.

Gio, can you elaborate on how you lost those 2 notches because of the car?

Like did they step out, see the ride and were like 'fuck this'?

Also, how shitty are we talking. Like are the doors about to fall off, or does it just need a little tlc with a bump or a dent here and there?

Other than keeping my cars clean (inside), I don't worry about it. My favorite vehicle for picking up chicks right now is my moderately beat up 1995 F250 diesel, because it has a nice big bench seat that makes it easy for a chick to either get close to me or blow me. Bucket seats and center consoles have cockblocked me before Angry.

The more urban the area you are gaming in the less important your car is.
The more rural the area you are gaming in the more important your car is.

I have lost girls whom I have banged first in city after I visit her in country and she realized that I have no car, which can hardly be felt in a city, but is huge in country.
I have acquired notches in city because I have told that it is late, public transport doesn't go anymore and I have no car to go back to my place. Which makes girls invite me to their place.

The car is Godly in deep country but in a city it can be a hindrance.

Buy a car because you truly like that particular automobile.

Lambos don't get chicks, they attract gold-diggers.

The investment in a car and the return of pussy is low, based on where I live. Every punk is spending their hard earned money on souped up BMWs and Japanese cars. On a Saturday night they hang out in parking lots gawking at each other's cars, the ratio is 10:1 man to woman.

Car is the last thing I would put money into unless I was a car guy that had a passion for driving.

For pussy it is a poor return in my experience. Most girls have no clue what I drive before I bang them, and their attitude hasn't changed after they find out whether it has been a low end car or luxury.

The $ for financial freedom, centrally located pad, wardrobe, healthy high quality food will give you much larger dividends.

RE: How important is a decent car?
I haven't owned a car in 7 years. If you live in places like DC, Manhattan, or Miami Beach, you might not need one.

I make well into the six figures now and have no desire for a car. I bike, walk, and taxi everywhere, or get a friend to drive.

I think the real reason I don't have one is I could easily afford a decent car, even buy a decent used one outright, but I simply don't need one. (I work from home). Plus an Audi A6 or 300 series bmw is nice in most places, but its not even worth trying on South Beach... with Lambos, Ferraris, RRs, and Bentleys rolling around. A bright orange McLaren was parked outside my building yesterday.

The only cavaet to not having a car is if I meet a girl from Miami outskirts while she is partying in south beach. But then I just have them hit me up when they are back if they don't sleep over.

Most of my fixed expenses go into my apartment, which is more important IMO.

If you have a manly car that doesn't look like you just salvaged it from a junk yard, you're going to be ok. You'd be better off investing the money you'd spend going the extra mile on a car into yourself. The ROI would be much much higher.

This is very true. I'm from a small city and I now live in a big city. Whenever I go home, I see a lot of jacked up trucks and usually the girl that goes along with that. In the city, it doesn't matter at all.

I live in rural area, 35 miles from a great little college city, and 35 miles from work. Obviously I NEED a car. My current car looks like a junker. I have given up on getting the newer audi that I posted in the OP for 3 reasons:

-I don't need a fancier car, and I rarely show women my car on a first date, so if I get a second date, I don't think my old car is going to break me since the chick has shown some real interest in me and who I am. I own a house, land, have an established career, have traveled and all of this is established during the first date. If a chick rejects me because my car sucks, she did me a favor

-as mentioned above, newer used audis are money pits. I do all my own work, but they are still money pits. I'd love to drive one, but I pay a hefty mortgage by myself, and don't have much money left over to be dumping into a car like that. Its just not a great investment. I'd be better off with a new kia under warranty. But I cannot bring myself to drive one of those things.

-I have a project car that I am building. Its an old audi (my personal favorite type of cars). Its in very good shape, interior is really nice still and its just looks cooler than the VW IMHO.I am putting a modern TDI diesel into it so it will be AWD and very fuel efficient. Honestly, women probably won't be able to tell much difference between the two except my old audi is in much better shape inside and out. The main thing is, I am PROUD of my custom old audi, and that will pay dividends.
Here is the audi pre-restoration, I think its a lot cooler than the beater VW:

I bought my first car at age 35. Until then Willy had gotten wet in 3-figures. So with regard to game, car importance = nil.

Go to a local auto auction or your state surplus office and buy one of their old cars, they will usually have north of 100k on them but be cheap and it's easy to get a decent looking one for little money.

RE: How important is a decent car?
Probably depends heavily on the area.

My DD is an old explorer with the typical for them exhaust leak. IDGAF enough to fix it.

I am working on a redneck rig that will get a little more attention in this area. An older F350 extended cab with 35" tires on 20" wheels and a twin charged 351....I'm into the car scene a bit so I'm always doing something like this. It's been a few years since I sold my Beemer race car so I've been without anything fun for too long now.
