Easy routine to solve this.

Girl: "How old are you?"

You: "How old do you think I am?"

Girl: "Don't make me guess!"

You: "I like to see people's first impression of me."

Girl: "Uh... fine. You're... [her guess]"


And whatever she says is the age she probably wants you to be close to. Correct age discrepancies if they are significant.


So if you're 25, and a 22 year old girl guesses you at 26, you can just say, "Good guess!" And leave it at that.

But if she's 18, and you're 25, she'll probably guess 23-24. Then you say "Good guess! I'm actually 22." And then now you're only 4 years apart.

If she's 29 and you're 24, and she guesses some wise ass answer, "You look 21." You can reply "Actually I'm only 17 my mom sent me out here tonight to find a girlfriend." She'll laugh or roll her eyes, but then you follow up with "I'm a little bit older than that." She might guess, "23" or "24" or "25" but you want her to think you're actually closer than that, so just say "I'm a bit older than that" and leave it at that.

Regardless, lying about your age is easy and should always be done. Why let something so small obscure the bang?

There is an "actual" age and there is a "street" age. Since I have very little facial hair, I was 29 (my street age) during ALL of my 30's.

Younger women don't want to date younger guys because it's looked down upon when the woman is in her 20's. I know because my dumb ass said my real age when i was 17 and this 22 year old was feeling me.

I made this mistake with a girl 3 years my senior. I could have closed the deal if she hadn't known I was younger. I'm 26, she's 29. She and her friend (who introduced us) thought I was around 35.
I have a son; I think that's why girls think I'm older.

1. Don't bring it up.

2. Bust their balls if they think you're too young.

I'm in the camp for not lying. Same thing if you're 40/50 years old, own that shit. It's only a problem if you make it a problem. If she gives that big of a damn I'd wager you need to tighten something up in your inner/outer game (if this is happening a lot...if it's a really small sample could just be the girl's preference...she missed the boat, move on)

3. Play defensive. Make her guess your age. If you sense she would really have a genuine problem with your true age, go with the guess she makes you think she'd feel safe with. (not saying I agree totally, but this should work...and if you get in a genuine relationship, she'll develop enough emotions it shouldnt be that bad when you break it to her later)

Your best bet is to go upscale.

Remember the bar's POV - it depends on the State, but if they serve you underage they are putting their license in danger, facing a fine or facing arrest.

Inexpensive college bars card the hardest, they can't afford any of that. Any place corporate is similar.

I lied on the age listed on my OKC profile, said I was 34 when I'm actually 41. I look young and 34 was the age most people guessed me at so I went with that. One girl I dated from the site was 28 and every time I would consider telling her the truth she would make some off handed comment about a "creepy" 40something guy who hit on her or her friends.
