You've got the right idea here, and I say this with a lot of personal experience doing this myself.

There's a reason almost all of the guys on this forum take girls out on drink dates, whether it's a bar, lounge, club etc. Regardless of whether or not you drink with the girl, night-time dates at alcoholic venues make it much easier to get close with a girl, build attraction, and ultimately fuck.

I still do the occasional coffee date, park date, museum tour etc., as they are useful for building comfort and sometimes you just don't have time to meet a girl a certain night...but drink dates should be a staple in any player's routine, simply for the reason that they're effective in allowing us to attain what we want: sex (and maybe a mini or lengthy relationship depending on how much you like the chick)

So this is what I do when I chill with girls in different drinking settings:

1. The Bar date
I meet them at the venue I've chosen and ask them what they're drinking. I order them a drink and a soda with lime for myself. I do not try to hide the fact that I am not drinking, and when they ask me (about 75% of my dates do) why I'm not drinking, I am honest with them. I tell them I used to have a lot of trouble controlling my alcohol intake, and once I start, it's hard for me to stop. I also add that back in my drinking days, I had trouble controlling my temper when I was drunk, which sometimes resulted in violence...this is all true, while I generally keep most of the details mysterious, if they really pry, I might tell them that I was arrested after a very violent altercation which began with me getting plastered (which is true).

Note: I notice that when I subtly hint at getting angry and violent after drinking, girls tend to be slightly aroused rather than turned off. Perhaps it's because I'm tall, skinny, and have a pretty calm demeanor, so they do not expect me to have a temper or engage in altercations.

2. Inviting a girl straight to my crib for drinks
This might happen less often in the normal world, but because I'm in college, I get chicks straight from the street to my crib for drinks usually once a week. Generally this involves walking around campus on weekend nights, running some direct street game, and inviting her back to my dorm for a drink. In this case, I do hide the fact that I do not drink, simply because it's ridiculously easy to do so...and when I'm meeting girls on the street and bringing them straight back, it's usually just for sex, so I don't mind being dishonest and 'tricking' them. In my mini-fridge I stock a bottle of Ciroc Vodka for my girl - this bottle of Ciroc is actually filled with Rubinoff vodka, the cheapest and lowest quality shit around. I'll also have a bottle of Smirnoff filled with water, for myself. I'll whip 'em both out and give her that 'high quality mixed drink' while I pour myself Smirnoff (water), which I mix with seltzer and pre-cut limes.

We cheers, and escalation occurs as normal.

Bottom Line: Drinking dates will continue to work, whether you have a glass of whisky in your hand, or a glass of seltzer.

I actually try to have an alcoholfree month once a year. It doesn't always work, but people/girls are fascinated when I tell them about it. When they ask why I say "Sometimes it's good to have a break, live another lifestyle. I'm much more focused on the things I want to do"
(I'm well known as being a "nightlifer" normally)

I'm no pro or master, it could be better but I definitely think the initial comment from the girl was a mild shit test("that's a little weird") or a mild neg.

Would be interested to hear how more experienced guys would approach it.

Maybe there's a way to invent a bottle that can contain both vodka and water, and when you pour it by tipping it in one side the vodka comes out, if you flip it over and pour from the other side, the water comes out.

This could be accomplished with some kind of clear plastic blatter that you could put in the bottom of the bottle and fill it with water. It would somehow have to look like it was part of the bottle or hidden by the bottles label. Or get a dark bottle and will much easier to conceal the bladder and straw (or whatever it is that gets used to bring the liquid to the top).

Instead of having to flip it, you could use your thumb to block either the flow of water or the vodka at the tip while the other substance pours out.


Or, you could pour her glass with a bottle filled with vodka and then for "forget" to get some garnish, remember, turn around switch the bottles and get the garnish turn back to her and pour your glass. Problem with this is you can't do it more than once.

Fuck keeping up with girls when it comes to booze. They act tough but when push comes to shove, they go down-hill quickly.

I went drink for drink with this chick last Friday. Long story short she ended up vomiting all over my bathroom and was (understandably) too embarrassed to stay.

You guys may be overthinking pouring different drinks for chicks. Just have an alcohol bottle and a different kind of alcohol bottle but with water. She most likely wont suspect anything, but if she does, then simply come clean that only one has water, and then simply pour some of the real alcohol for yourself to prove it isnt drugged, and offer the choice of the water to her.

Might lose frame a bit but better than the alternative of her thinking you are trying to drug her(well you are, but non alcoholic drug)

Depends mostly on what OTHER people are tipping. If your bartender is used to seeing 50 cent and 1 dollar tips (per drink), a few bucks will get their attention. If they're used to seeing a few bucks per drink, then you might need to step it up to a 10 spot on your first drink.

You're much more likely to get noticed for a big tip up front and subsequent normal tips instead of slightly above average tipping throughout the night.

Absolute best bang for the buck on average? Tip a couple bucks on a water (poured by the bartender, not a bottle). Most people are cheap fucks and wouldn't even consider a tip on water.

hmm, i was actually thinking this too.

how about buying a glass bottle of coors or something at the bar, pretending to take a few sips in front of the girl, then excusing yourself to go to the bathroom, dump out the beer and fill it with water.

Why would not drinking have any influence on your dates? In fact, I'd suggest for all guys to nix drinking on dates altogether to save on money and calories. It's a good idea especially if you're dating a lot.

As far as girls having a problem with it, I don't see it. I have dates all the time where I don't drink - or I'll invite them over to my place and I had no alcohol on the premises... Don't use drinking as a crutch to escalate with girls!

At any bar you can order pineapple juice or coke or whatever instead of alcohol. It's not a special order. You don't have to slip the bartender a $20 bill. I just think that's ridiculous.

If she makes a big deal about it, just say "I'm trying to be more health conscious" -- positive value builder IMO.
If she's insecure about it, HER PROBLEM.

I'm in the UK which has a huge drinking culture. I don't drink, never have, and it's often a problem. Most girls will demand to know why I don't drink (which is like me demanding to know why they don't do heroin, but I digress). I still take them to bars... sometimes I just pretend I'm driving so I can't drink, sometimes I just tell them flat-out that I don't drink and never have.

Now, a lot of girls will find it weird, and some will also find it awkward for them to continue drinking without me. Also, no doubt some have thought it was a ploy on my part. But it's never really hurt my game in any quantitative way. It's just a pain in the ass that I have to explain myself to each and every one of them.

I only drink water on my dates. It saves a lot of money. Also, my rule is I buy them one drink (sometimes no drink at all).
