Jakarta seems pretty cool, not really left kemang though as im a bit lazy. Checked out the "ritz spa" last night, who offer a sensual massage , not bad value for $16, will provide a full TR on my blog, and will be checking out the delta spa soon


Was at parc19 the other night, drinking some beers with some girls, apparently I'm hot but im to skinny, told them in in #offseason but they didn't seem to understand lol.

Sorry not been updating this as much, in JKT now, kemang. Met one roosh lurker the other day he was cool. Sadly couldnt meet another two dudes as I was hung over and got loads of work to do.

so far I've hit a few bars in Kemang:

Parc9 - to quiet but a nice place to relax and drink
Murpehy's bar - to many expats
Eastern Promise - a mixture of expats and indo girls who I'd assume want to talk to western guys
Umbrela - good music, was getting quite busy when I was there but horrible ratios.

I checked out triple 999 club in Kemang - was fairly quiet around 1:30am on a Friday night, but was getting busy.

Kemang is a nice place, but it seems like most of the young indos have a stick up their ass. Feels snobby.

No I dont think that, people seem very helpful. There lack of English is way more apparent here than in Thailand. I'm living in Kemang which i feel is a lot more snobby than in Bali or Yogy. I was at the bar the other day and a waitress asked for my number, then her friends were all gigging with me later.

today I went to get my Thai visa, pain in the ass. 9am traffic

Thanks for the intel, headed to Jakarta and wondering if you could elaborate a little. I just want to know what to avoid. Snobby as in they were hesistant to be seen talking to you or just entitled cliquey rich kids? Was it worse at specific venues and did you encounter the same attitudes outside of Kemang? Great thread btw looking forward to more.

The places I went was very local, the decor and everything was very nice and modern, but everyone just seemed kind of bored. Didn't feel any positive vibes towards my direction. Felt like they were just their for the sake of it to be seen in their new clothes and stuff. This is just my opinion on how I saw things, maybe it was a bad night or I read it wrong, didn't seem like it tho. The time was around 11pm-2am, maybe they are not drunk enough?

Used a but of tinder which locates people from the local area. All wanted to go to these really expensive bars and clubs, one was $50 entry, then another suggested to go to some roof top bar lol. uw0tm8, how about some rice and chicken off the street before we go back to my fan room and get down.

haha but yeah, Kemang seems a bit snobby from what I can tell. There are "expat" bars here though. I went into one and a waitress gave me her number within a few minutes of me entering. But the bars and clubs are small, so if you play a numbers game, maybe the north is better. The people working in the bars, the staff, locals, taxi drivers are all nice enough .

Went to the SCBD today, was okay, nothing special, guess you seen one CBD, you seem them all.

Hey Afarang, extending my stay a little til Saturday so hit me on Line if you're out and about Thurs or Friday.

Just to add a little to this thread I arrived late last Saturday and met up with another forum member and went to a few bars before hitting x2, was pretty busy and a good ish selection or girls in the upstairs room, I reckon about 20%obvious working girls and the rest just local chicks looking for Western D. Pretty easy there stood around for 15 minutes or so and picked up but you'll have to be a bit proactive and get in early to get the decent ones. Also got cock blocked after about 3 hours by her 2 friends so had to meet her the next night to seal the deal, I believe the same happened to the guy I went with so, yeah...

Clubs here are closed on Sunday, Monday and mostly Tuesday with the only bars really being open in the cbd hotel bars that are full of hookers.

Went to:

X2, described above
Blue grass, nice enough bar quiet on Sunday, good for a date
Skye, rooftop bar on the tallest building in Jakarta, nice views, quiet ish
Loewy, bar grill sort of place, decent crowd but quiet on a Monday
Bats, in basement of shangri la hotel, old men and hookers, avoid

Ladies night in Jakarta is on Wednesday and apparently this us when the night life starts getting good again.

Skout - low grade local gals who are super keen to meet up, looked ok when I want here yet but didn't meet any of them after seeing what's actually around, the hotter looking ones will almost certainly be semi pros and will be keen to meet up with you in known hooker bars, if they mention bats or cj's probably give it a miss. Probably easy to shore or pay the a cab fair in the morning if that your thing.

Tinder, ahhh, now, I spent fifteen mins clicking yes whilst watching TV after I checked in, went for a shower and came back to around 160 matches, 20 or so messages with about five asking for an immediate meet up. Chatted with a few, they are mostly all middle class students or young professionals, very good English, super friendly and fun to chat with. Met one on the Monday who was a knock out stunner and very cool. Bear in mind it's a working city and it takes a fuck age to get anywhere in a cab so logistically if you only have a short time here you may not get meet who you want as they have work, other arrangements etc but I would definitely recommend it as the match rate is sky high.

Day game, didn't really try, the girls working in mall etc are very friendly and struck up a couple of convos at Coffee places, probably more trouble than its worth as night is so easy here.

Will update later with more info on bars and clubs from Wednesday to Friday.

From Brodiaga's thread he basically described getting dialed in to Jakarta. Hitting the club and posting up, screening for eye contact and other IOI's before approaching. Then actually buying a drink or two is the way to go. A little dance floor game and some chit chat followed by invite to after party. I take it that doing lots of approaches with cocky western style game is not going to yield the best results in JKT. Better to tone it down and really focus on IOI's coming your way. Would you agree?

Waiting for IOI's will always make it easier but usually you can do better if you approach hotter girls...

I went to X2 with 192 the other night. We got quiet a few IOI's from girls around us but I ended up cold approaching a girl that I really liked. She was a business girl from Bali visiting her family in Jakarta and went out with her nephew this night. 40 minutes later we are making out in front of him. While making out with her I got by far the most IOI's this night which kind of confirms: "Chicks in JKT go to night clubs specifically to get fucked on that night, not to give their numbers." Just a pitty I did not had a hotel and had to go back to the airport.

Indonesia is really not the place where you have to play the numbers game and hook up with okish girls. Just go for the hottest girls and if everything fails you have still easy lays available... But dont wait too long as the best choices seems to be gone early.

Decent place and sound system is good, will go back this weekend. Ended up at Nu China and 999, both were ok little quiet, didnt end up pulling.

Went out last night with a lurker and ended up seeing 192 in Dragonfly, nice guy! ill give ya a few shots back when I see you in bkk

Me and my mate started off in the backpacker area I think, it was some Mexican bar that did $2 tequila shots. Was nice, mostly locals will get the name if anyone wants it. We then went to Red Square first around midnight, it was kind of busy but mostly hookers. You could tell from how forward the girls were, a few older men inside. Left kind of early.

Then we went to dragonfly which was very good around 1am maybe, I got pretty wasted so I can't remember too much, but was talking to quite a few girls (I think). Everyone seemed friendly and welcoming, should not be to hard to get a girl from here if you put in some effort. Managed to take home a school teacher. I took a few pics but I'm to hungover to edit my face out of them currently.

I'd recommend Dragonfly as a place to go on the weekends. Nice set up, good music, enough girls.

First time I kind of went into Central Jakarta, a lot more people here, so perhaps its better to base yourself in central rather than Kemang, well that's what I'd do for the next visit. Not to say Kemang sucks because it doesn't, but the clubs and bars are just a bit smaller.
