Small Town Game
I'm currently home (parent's house) for the summer, unfortunately. I ran out of money and cannot afford to stay in the city. Thus I am now in a town of 2000 people that is outside a city of around 175k. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience in a situation like this or knows what the best play would be.

Stay off Facebook. Things spread fast in a small town but they spread twenty times as fast with Facebook involved.

I'd be calling all my buddies from school/college and arranging parties. Hopefully they will all know a few chicks to bring along- house parties are always the best logistic wise for your sort of situation.

Or I'd keep quiet and just try to play up the 'mysterious outsider' vibe. I think chicks in hick towns know they need to bring fresh blood in Laugh

They who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety- Benjamin Franklin, as if you didn't know...

I think the second is my only option, any sane person hasn't come back and those that have don't throw parties. I need to figure out the venues in hick towns people go to. All the bars I've seen are a much older crowd.

RE: Small Town Game
Do your best to get inside the city. You don't need to live there but you need a network. The small town might have some girls that will work now, but eventually that pool will dry up and you will be left high and dry.

How far is the city? When is the last public transport ride home? Hell, even go out sober and drive home it's better than being reliant on your small town. If you don't have friends in the city, go out solo and make some. You'd be surprised how easy it is to break into social circles.

When you know people, you can start crashing on couches in the city on weekends and it only gets easier from there.

It's around 15 miles, there is no public transportation and it is really annoying. Especially since I live in a larger city with it 8 months out of the year. I don't have any friends in the city, solo at a bar? It's a sad excuse for a city and I honestly have no idea what is there other than ghetto.
