How to Avoid Being "That Guy"?
I once read a post by roosh about how a girl cockblocked him from a Brazilian girl by saying that he had hit on every single other girl in the bar. Now, I get that you're supposed to do as many approaches as possible, but for a new guy, he's not going to be as smooth as someone who's been at it a long time. I believe cupcake did a thread on gaining a reputation as a player. How do you avoid this? I want to approach, but I don't want to gain some sort of reputation especially if it's a place that I often frequent.

For instance, let's say you're at a small library, asking one or maybe two girls may be the max before people start noticing you and you start to get some sort of reputation.

However, if you're at a huge mall where there are hundreds of people, I think you have the potential to talk to a lot more women (maybe 20-50 women) before people start thinking you're a playboy and a skirt-chaser.

When it comes to venues and specific locations, is there a max or limit before you start gaining a player reputation and the girls won't even talk to you?

How do you guys go about this? Thoughts?

Hello.

This is very easy, friend, what you need to focus on is blending in.

I think the idea of 'pea-cocking' is very stupid, and that Mystery should be slapped for that. Truth be told that's an idea that panders to newbies and is only for those that need something to look at to boost their confidence.

Worse yet, it's one of the things that the ladies that have been smartened up to game have picked up on.

Myself, I try to blend in as much as possible. I let my game do the talking, not my clothes, that way I can slip in and out of sets without being noticed. I want every girl I approach to be a blank slate, thus I have a fair shot at winning her over to my way of thinking.

For some of the experienced players on this site, perhaps standing out is good, and I'm not opposed to that style, I just feel for a guy trying to put volume in every night, you're better off not getting noticed. Keep in mind, these guys stand out with their tight game, and by wearing swanky attire, not some silly neon bracelet or feathered boa. Yet, to each his own. I'll never belittle any man that finds something that works for him.

You guys forget the importance of reputation. It can be a HUGE part of your arsenal. Refer to Robert Greene's Seduction for more on this.

A player reputation, when embraced joyfully and playfully, works wonders on your favour.

If you belive being a player and approaching tons of women is "bad" and "creepy", it will be bad and creepy. If you see it as the joy of your life and just a natural expression of your being regardless of what people say, it on.

You see, all I know is ball, and good, and...

I even dislike the term "player". Its just a man attuned with his deep desires.

the simple truth, the hard advice: Just have fun when you go out. If having fun means talking to lots of different girls, so be it.
