Any thoughts on which would be prime hunting grounds? Obviously we're going to be talking about a 10/1 ratio here...but the theory is that the 10% of women will be very desperate to meet a guy at some point in the night.

You might wanna check out the Green Lantern near Thomas Circle (14th street) as it did have some Bi women last time I checked. Back in my college days my buddies and I used to place bets to see just how crazy our game was. We would bet each other to see if we could go into the Green Lantern, spit some game, and have another guy buy us a drink. That was even harder than approaching an HB8+ as for a split second role play was necessary.

The problem i've seen with gay bars is that logistics are bad, other than that...the straight girls tend to be easier to make out with than regular bars .

I have better idea from my experience: chip'n'dales bar.
You are likely to be one of the very few men around -other than dancers among a crowd of horny women.

Having lived in SF and tried this, here's my expereience:

Gay bars = don't go. It doesn't work unless you're with a mixed set of gays and girls.

Gay friendly bars (there's a difference) = holla. I pulled mad as at The Endup. I even got a blowjob in the back room area near the photo boots from a hot Asian.

Very serious. Last I went, the Endup had 75% gay guys, 15% Asian gangsters, and 10% straight girls who are looking to party. Lots of foreign chicks, too, since it's one of only two widely known after-hours joints (ruby skye being the other).

I thought alot of the women there (feb 2011) seemed to be hookers, or trannys, and the ratio wasn't great.

This thread was originally for dc, which suffers from having a crappy bar/club pickup scene, so I was asking to see if anyone found good alternatives as gay clubs.

OK, I was trying to figure out why someone would want to subject themselves to being in an environment that is overwhelmingly loaded with fags to meet women, but now I see you were in DC so that kinda clears it up.

Still I would have never chosen this option because I would think that the women would think you are a fag otherwise why would you be there. Now perhaps going to a club that plays House Music and is not a "gay club" but has a lot that frequent the club might be different?

I hit up the gay club in my hometown from time to time. Always met straight women there. I have some gay girl and guy friends so normally id roll with a large group (mixed set of girls, some lez and some straight)

Only prob is having all the dudes eye the fuck out of you. Well atleast they do if your good looking.

I went to Nellie's on U st the other night for a friend's bday. It was awful, and ended up leaving within 30 minutes. I managed to see just one cute girl on the way out, but overall the quality was poor. Additionally, I brought a female friend along, and she was told to leave immediately because her "kind" wasn't allowed here.
