Anybody here sees a stylist or cosmetologist?
I was reading this post by oldnemesis where he recommends to spend money on yourself and this included visiting a stylist or cosmetologist. I have found the idea to be great and i wonder if you guys know any good stylist, he can be based in any city, it shouldn't matter.

Also i want to visit a cosmetologist but im wondering how i could benefit from this, i was told not too long ago that many guys in the last few yrs have been visiting cosmetologists, but i wonder how they benefit from this.

I couldnt find much info on google, hopefully somebody on here gives me some tips.

I go to a salon about every 3 weeks for a haircut and I go to a manicurist whenever my nails start to look ragged. My main girl for over 3 years owned a salon and dragged me into the salon for manicures at first, but once I figured out how I benefited from having nice nails and hands I kept going even after we broke up.

One of the first things a girl notices is if a guy has dirty fingernails or nasty hangnails. Not only is it a reflection of the guy and his hygiene and grooming, it is also that she has delicate female parts and doesn't want gross fingers anywhere near them.

If you live in a decent sized town or larger there are lots of options for manicurists, so as you walk or drive by pop into the salon and see if there are any cute girls working. If you see some cutie you like sit down for a manicure and chat.

This works especially great for guys who don't have a lot of opportunity to practice conversation with women. You have paid her to sit with you so start chatting build up your comfort level. If you feel you have a connection ask her out. If not, there is always the next manicure and the next cute manicurist.

That is straight genius.

Here's a question for you guys..

Do you ever get any waxing done for manscaping purposes (Don't hate I'm just curious) or any such things.

Also for homeboys with bushy ass eyebrows, who don't want to get waxed (or look waxed) what's the best way to approach that situation

Not to be a dick or anything, but this all sounds kind of soft. Girls like a guy a little rough around the edges.

Actually, funny if painful story--one time since my girl at the time was complaining about how much waxing her legs hurt, I waxed my own sack to show her up. Hurt like a bitch, but I will say the newly bared skin REALLY fricken' enjoyed oral attention after that. Hard to say if I'd recommend it or not, though; sure didn't convince her to wax anything more personal than her thighs.

Maybe, but if you were a girl would you want some dude sticking his grungy fingers in your puss? We're not talking metrosexual here, we're talking about basic hygiene and consideration for the female.

I was writing to another member in a PM that lots of guys jack up their game because they would rather act 'cool' than do what actually gets girls. I only offer up my suggestions because I do better with women than all but a few men I have ever met, and I imagine if a guy implements my recommendations into his game his results will improve a great deal.

Can agree with you about the fingernails for sure. This Brazilian receptionist chick at an office I used to work at used to comment on how long my nails were and they were really not something I'd consider long, just normal. Woman have much more of an eye to detail than we do when it comes to these things.

I agree with the focus on what works. I wear lots of stuff that guys call me homo over, while girls compliment me for 'em. But how is a manicure better than clipping your own nails? My nails are clean, even and short, and I don't bite them. My hands are slightly callused, and girls don't mind.

I'm curious to hear your other recommendations. I just started using moisturizer for my face.

I am an incredibly social animal, and I am always getting out and about to meet people. If I can think of any way to meet and talk to pretty girls I do it. Once my girl dragged me into the salon I noticed there was always a bunch of attractive women sitting around, and lots of opportunity to chat them up. So, even though clipping your own nails is cool, shooting the breeze with the ladies while someone else does your nails is much better.

But as far as it goes with my recommendations, I have gone off the deep end. I learned how to control body odor with my diet and stopped using deodorants and antiperspirants. I quit using detergents with perfumes on my clothes, I started using Dr. Bronner's unscented soap, and I learned how to make my own colognes using natural oils known for their aphrodisiacal properties.

When you are SERIOUS about getting more women than you can handle learn about the properties of pheromones and how to increase their production and dispersion. I highly recommend the book "The Alchemy of Love and Lust" by Dr. Theresa Crenshaw. You will trip once you are attracting the girls on a chemical level and you find you have women hovering around you like a moth to a flame Smile

Haha, I use Dr. Bronner's, great stuff. Cleans the hair without drying it out. I just got eucalyptus though, smells too antiseptic.

What sorts of scents do you use? I did some brief research, and supposedly baby powder or the combination of cucumber and licorice work best. And oxytocin is said to be effective, but seems impossible to get your hands on.

Haven't really hung in salons, but I can attest that knowing a bit about women's fashion can pique a girl's interest - Paul Janka mentions in passing getting lays from knowing about women's designer shoes, a private interest of his.

Check out this site for pheromones.

I have been using there products for several years. There is no doubt in my mind anyway that there is really something to this.

Some of this shit is to feminine. I use shit on my face because I have oily skin and it helps control the pimples. There was a good thread on facial products a while back.

Going to a salon and getting your nails done lol? What's wrong with a barber shop and clippers and some regular cologne? I'm pretty open minded but I have a hard time believing these things will help with girls. Oh yeah, I've heard so many girls talk shit about guys with waxed eyebrows. I got some bushy ones but I trim the middle unibrow myself with scissors.

I'm curious to see how the old playas around here feel about all this

I like really warm and comforting scents, and vanilla is my favorite. If you are super secure in your sexuality and you can brush off shit tests about why a man would wear a flowery cologne, rose and jasmine are fantastic for nighttime use. Don't bathe in natural colognes, just put a dab on each side of your neck and a little on your chest and you are set.

Absolutely nothing. If this works for you and you like it, keep doing it. To quote the inimitable Digital Underground, "Doowutchyalike" Smile

One of my ex's wanted me to get waxed.... and I did. I felt like a raped dog, it hurt sooo much. She also brought me to get collagen injections on my lips cause they are a bit on the thin side. I gotta admit it looked good, only lasts a few months though and hurts to get your lips injected.

If you have medium length to longer hair - stylist. Man or woman, maintaining a stylish look for longer hair takes effort and you need experts.

Shorter/Bald hair - much simpler situation...get a razor or barbershop.

This sums it up. I use a stylist, and have been for years. Haircuts still suck in the U.S. The best cuts have come from gay dudes in Thailand. If you have "bad" hair, a good salon can give you treatments to fix it.

Now here is a gem of data. If you wanna get laid quick and have the ratio in your favor, go to a beauty convention. The city is suddenly swarming with slutty salon girls, looking for a weekend of debauchery. Just ask your stylist for a schedule.
