If you exclude older sex tourists and backpackers, majority of people go to Asia for professional or biz reason. The women are a very nice icing on the cake and part of the benefits package if you will.

Doing business in China is also quite difficult, given the language barrier, capital controls (!), and many regulations. This is why most guys who go there are most likely temporary travelers rather than businessmen.

As to the topic at hand, prior to my first trip to Asia 4 years ago, I had NEGATIVE interest in Asian girls. That is even lower than NO interest. I was a Latina and more specifically a Brasileira lover. Brasil was my favorite playground. However, within the first 48 hours of landing in BKK, my entire preferences was shakened to the core and totally shattered. You're right here. Asian guys are massive cockblocks and hugely protective even if they are solidly in the friendzone.

And all girls are easy when they travel. If I went by experiences from american girls I've met back home, I'd conclude that I would be slaying left and right in the US. I've never met easier girls than american girls on exchange in Europe, they are practically throwing themselves at you.

There is an undercurrent of the following idea: if women of type X prefer men of type Y, then the men of type Y are somehow lesser or the women of type X are somehow inferior because there is an already existing predilection of the two to get together. In other words, if it's (allegedly) too easy, it's somehow not as legitimate.
