I can be an overly deep guy according to friends, but I've found in that sphere it really turns on a lot of women when I tell them my thoughts around this.....the key is how you get it into the conversation in a congruent/context accepted manner.

It can weird and counter intuitive for a smart guy to "dumb himself down".

What does that really mean???

Santa gives a good example of presenting yourself as knowledgeable in an area that she is interested in. That's good. Of course, in order to do that, you first have to be smart enough to find out what her interests are while still maintaining her attention and keeping things more lighthearted rather then serious.

I thought about it today. Here is how I "dumb myself down" around dumb chicks:

-I simplify my speech and slow down. I use less words and no big words.

-I change topics more quickly then if I were talking to a smart person. Often, I change topics before a solid explanation was discussed.

- I try to understand her perspective rather then try to get her to understand my per[perspective.

- I listen to her to try and identify her interests, insecurities, etc. I then probe and explore these issues playfully.

- I focus more on humor and fun rather then "intelligence".

- I don't worry about "logic" and instead have fun with "illogic". (pop culture, astrology, attraction, etc.)

- I understand that sometimes Social Skills are more important then intellectual skills.

Neil Strauss has a section of his book "The Game" devoted to this. He recommends learning about what he called "chick crack," which is just what some of the previous commenters mentioned: horoscopes, celebrity BS.

I'll throw in that stupid girls tend to prefer brawn over brains, so if you're ripped and tall, that's a huge advantage.

Also, they seem to flock to conformity and stupid jokes. So you need to get "psyched" about local sports teams and learn to pitch your humor on the level of Will Ferrell.

Glad I could help. I googled that line and Roosh and found this post where he outlines the restart text. I've quoted a bit below:

You don't have to attention whore like so many girls do on social media trying to make it look like their life is the end all be all of existence, but at the same time, being able to put a positive/interesting spin on the better parts of your life is a great thing, you are in essence marketing yourself.

As an example I sent the girl I'm dating a picture of the sunset, artfully reflected off of a painted metal surface from this past weekend work event. Did I focus on the fact that I worked countless hours in the brutally hot/windy desert, eating sporadically, sleeping little, etc? I've never picked up a dumb girl sober, as bad as it sounds. However, get me moderately drunk and let alchohol disengage my logical brain and it is easy a nothing. In fact, my experience tells me that my success with smarter girls go down proportionally to my intoxication level, but up with stupid girls. Purely nightgame anecdotes here of course.

The best mindset is not to get too hung up on your own intelligence or logical mind, because the truth is that it is fun to engage the average not so smart chick if you are able too. The only problem for me is that I am only really able to let go of the intellectual brain once I have some alchohol in my system. I am working to figure out how to do that without.

Great post, you inspired me to be more persistent. I've always been a take it or leave it guy -- if it doesn't happen right then, I don't pursue it any further than that. But looking at how you handle things showed me that I've probably got a few notches on the table that I could be working on.

Not like it's hard to send a text once a week.

Yeah, I had a week to get back to her and since she had ignored me for a week previously, I waited 48 hours to get back to her.

Texting her right back after she had ignored me for a week would have felt needy and supplicative to me. I'm glad I waited a few days to get back to her. I think that helped.

I think Gio has got this down pat but I would add one thing. I use to have the same problem and I still do to some extent - dealing with dumb girls. But I have learned that the first rule should be NOT to think of them as dumb. A girl may not be the smartest cookie in the jar but it doesn't mean she can't tell when someone thinks she's stupid. If you begin to come across as condescending, she will pick up on this, and won't like it. The moment you start thinking a girl is stupid you will change the way you interact with her and she will detect this. It is always better to find something positive about someone and focus on that, like their physical beauty.

Now I don't think of girls as dumb or smart, just different. Far worse than a dumb girl, are the ones that think they are smart and don't shut up. Some of the best sex I have ever had were from girls that weren't the brightest girls around, and they knew this, so they compensated for it by being better in other ways.
