I'm sure you're kidding, but I definitely hope that no forum member supports any violence that isn't justifiable self defense.

I'm not suggesting that we need to white knight every time a woman stupidly gets herself into a fix, but that doesn't mean we should relish it.

Of course I don't support any violence against anyone.

Anyone who knows me and is familiar with the things I've written on this Forum in the past year knows that I've never said anything remotely in that tone.

I was using hockey jargon to make a point, and apparently I should have been clearer about what I meant.

I was making the point that more and more women have become masculinised, and have injected themselves into male venues. Some of these venues involve a substantial risk of physical contact. A girl can't just show up and participate in a melee, a demonstration, or scene where jostling or grappling is going to take place, and then cry foul when she gets treated like any guy would. That's all I meant.

I have also noticed more and more in recent years that women are committing violent acts against men. In bars, in homes, and in other venues, women are hitting men first and thinking they can get away with it. I understand that has nothing to do with this video, but the point stands anyway. Society here has conditioned women that they can just do whatever they want, and that there are no consequences. Well, there are consequences.

They need to understand that if they want to go down this road, it's going to have consequences. If you want to be a man, you're going to get treated like one.

Same thing applies to the whole "women in combat" scenario. If they really want to get treated like me, they'd better be very careful for what they wish for. Because they just might get it. And the outcome, you can be sure, is not going to be something they will like.

I come from a family of police officers, I'm not one myself, but i hear a lot of their stories and because of that my opinion is biased.

The police are there to serve and protect. That in of itself warrants respect. People will trash them, talk shit about them but the police are the first people that will be called when the shit hits the fan. Daily, the police get spat on, have bottles thrown at them, get abuse hurled at them and are expected to take it on the chin and react rationally. We unfairly hold them to a much higher standard than the rest of us. We don't respect the police. In fact it's worse, we disrespect the police. It's poison that is spreading and it needs to stop.
The force is what stops all your belongings getting stolen. That’s a small scale. The force is what let's have the freedom and opportunity to read this right now. The force is what aids girls in pursuing their dreams, and not giving themselves over to the strongest man that will have them because of constant threat of rape and violence. The force is what lets men pursue their dreams, instead of being in constant vigilance, protecting their perimeter against violence and intrusion. The force is what lets you sleep peacefully at night. It may seem a bit far fetched, but the force is what enables civilisation to occur. It's the threat of capture and punishment, enforced by the police, that prevents chaos. It's the threat of jail that keeps order.

There are places in the world where the force doesn't have power - ghettos and reservations. Those places aren't particularly nice places to live. This is the reality of life without law enforcement.
Daily, police are exposed to the depths of human depravity; junkies who sell their own children, assault victims who, despite fractures and broken bones, return to hyper violent partners - a situation the police can do nothing about apart from intervene when the violence escalates. They're exposed to gang rapes and gang violence. Stabbings, shootings, tragedies that have no explanation.
My father is a police officer, he has stories. I remember one particularly bad story. A man had three sons. The first son got drunk and wandered onto train tracks, he was killed instantly. The second son committed suicide by jumping in front of a train. He was recently divorced and his ex-wife had sole custody of his kids. He was expected to pay to raise his children but wasn't allowed to see them because they had moved to a different state. The third, the most painful story, was a heroin addict. He was found dead on the train from a heroin overdose, needle in one hand, his daughters hand in the other. When the police found them, his daughter was crying, telling him to wake up, that they'd missed their stop. My father had to tell this man that his three sons had died. On three separate occasions my father, a police officer had to deliver news that no man should hear, that he outlived his son. I can't imagine the pain and suffering that man went through. I can't imagine him ever being able to get over it. My father though, was expected to return to work instantaneously, to put it behind and do his job judiciously and righteously.

Police officers are exposed to the most soul-crushing, painful shit and yet are still expected to be understanding and compassionate. So next time, when you slag off a policer officer for giving you a ticket, or you bitch and complain about police brutality, take a second to be compassionate and understanding. And fucking thank a police officer once in a while, we have so much to thank them for.

If people adopted a healthier more grateful attitude towards police officers, 'police brutality' would be far likely less to happen. If that girl had basic respect for police, she wouldn't have gone wandering into an area swarming with riot police. Fuck, think of the job riot police have to do. They have to react violently and quickly because if they don't, if that person who throws the first bottle/punch/rock doesn't get the shit beat out of them... what stops the next person from throwing something? Then the next, the one after, and the one after that. It escalates very quickly after that.

In my experience the nicer and more respectful I am to police the better everything turns out. I've even got out of doing illegal things by just being honest with the straight up humble and respectful vibe.

They are human and capable of mistakes. They deal with a lot of emotion. If you have such a problem with them start designing a real RoboCop.
