Australia is an anglo country. When It comes to western nations... everywhere where english is mother country its a non-bang in my book, or anywhere where there is a substantial amoung of British Islander/Irish blood (which means below average looking females). These Australia threads always end up rehashing the same points over and over. Being 6 ft and complaining about height here is laughable though, this isn't The Netherlands: "In 2011-12, the average Australian man (18 years and over) was 175.6 cm tall" Restrict yourself to young men and it's statistically impossible for their average height to be anywhere over 5'10. We're broadly in line with the U.K and the USA, which makes sense since its more or less the same gene pool with the same living standards.

One important thing we didn't really mention though is that Australian guys aren't as afraid to approach as men from Europe or North America, which no doubt increases women here's entitlement. I think Australia overall is relatively masculine culture (I saw some graph from a Management paper that rated Australia as the most masculine Western culture and Scandinavia the least), which unfortunately extends to the women too and not just men. All in all I'm looking forward to spending most of next year in Europe...

It's definitely a masculine culture. It's part of the reason that I did so poorly over there in my game (there were other factors though). Yes, these claims of Australians being tall demi-gods are overblown.

It's true we do lift a lot though. Obesity is mainly a middle aged problem, but one thing I do notice is that there's a lot more chubby chicks out at night then chub dudes, it's more even in the daytime. Worse, these chubby bitches actually think they're attractive. Now imagine how the hot skinny girls feel. Aussie clubs really need to be more tight on the doors, we need more face control. Enforcing a dress code and trying to keep a passable ratio is not enough, they need to start saying no to unattractive people. Only the top tier places really do that. Even the classy rich kid young peoples clubs let in fatties...

Lets get this post back on track, as someone thats lived here for quite a few decades I have the following location data to share;

Easy Pick Up Spots;

Crows Nest Hotel: Gets easy on a Friday night after 10pm once the booze kicks in, a mixture of 5-8's of various quality. Easy to game them if you have solid frame but dont over do the booze or you will risk waking up with a 6 out of laziness and drunkeness ( dont ask me how I know this). Crows ranges from 18-35 years old

Colombian Hotel - Oxford St - Top Floor Friday nights, easy peasy because downstairs is filled with gays and upstairs with hetros. A lot of weak game in play and this makes it easy to stand out. Security is OK here as long as you are not a dick. 6, 7 and some 8's but the 8's tend to generally be spoken for. Age group here tend to be 25-40.

Greenwood Hotel North Sydney: gets pretty trashy on a Friday night after 9pm, younger crowd and have not bothered gaming here for the last ten years but if you crave 20 yr old pushy and can handle the shit they tend to dribble its worth a shot.

Crown St Surry Hills: lots of places to go hunting , great food, good bars and solid talent 7, 8's and even the mythical 9's. Dress sharp and keep your game solid and you will not wake up alone once you get the hang of this wonderful street.

The Little Man (Glebe): a small bar i really like, great drinks and easy hispter pussy, go easy on the cocktails because they make them strong and charge accordingly. I love their free popcorn, arghhh so good.

Kings Cross: is one giant toilet to me, I hate the place and unless you want strip clubs or want to g'on i would avoid it. SOrry but thats my 2 cents on this street long brothel.

Darling Harbor: Well it can go either way in this part of Sydney CBD, it can either be fantastic or you can end in jail, in hospital or worse. Keep your wits about you if you want to party down here because like the Cross you can run into a lot of cranky assholes. The Pyrmont Bridge Hotel is exempt from the new lock out laws for the record and you can pick up tourist poon tang easy enough because they are generally blind drunk. Other places of interest are Home Bar and Club (dance club), King St Wharf ( hipster central) with a nice selection of bars to suit most reasonable budgets and nice women to chose from but they tend to be classes A and B grade.

The Hippo Lounge - Surry Hills - this place can go either way but you will run the risk of developing an itch you cant scratch if your not careful

Having lived in Sydney for a couple of years a lot of these posts are spot-on. A few observations (which may have already been mentioned)

Class A Type Girls won't bring you home to Mum and Dad but there is a percentage that love to slut it up/slum it with dudes from the Western suburbs. Tattoos, ripped, bad-ass essentially (this goes for all Australian girls) And yep, there is a large proportion of ripped guys in Oz.

Artsy places like Glebe, Newtown and Surry Hills are great hunting grounds for freaky artsy type chicks.

Overseas international students (mainly Asian) are excellent quarry. Even if they come from a rich family overseas, meeting an Aussie guy and getting the holy grail permanent residency will be in the back of mind (as one Vietnamese chick I went out with whose family owned a construction business and had several employees told me: "While I'm here I want to find a husband."

A tip is to go onto gumtree.com.au and check the community section where a lot of travellers look for language exchange partners etc. Don't go too direct before you meet, make the first meeting non-sexual but still escalate but after that game the shit out of her.

If you go backpacking in Sydney and along the eastern seaboard it's apparently a fuckfest at the hostels. But also a higher chance of developing an STI - unfortuntely a lot of the chicks slutting it up basically go feral, unwashed, live in vans etc and really need a sniff test first.

Black dudes have an advantage - there will be a percentage that won't want anything to do with you (like anywhere) but an unusually large proportion keen on riding the BBC just for the experience.

Aussie chicks have a deserved bad reputation. They'll ride the cock carousel and still expect to be treated like princesses even though most of them hit the wall by 25. You'll find a large portion of single mums who may be open to slutting up in the Western suburbs, which is sort of like the urban sprawl of America. You'll be alpha and they'll do everything in their power to shut you down unless you alpha the fuck out of them. Basically they have the hard-arsed nature of the hookers who originally came out with the first convicts but due to Australia's prosperity have developed a massive entitlement complex as well.

There are many better places for game but Sydney does have one advantage: variety of pussy. White, Asian, European, Middle Eastern, South American, African... it has the entire mix except for maybe a dearth of Russians and Ukrainians (more's the pity)

I have found that the international Asian girls who come to Australia to study/work tend to be very open to meeting men. Many of them want to get married to a local man in order to obtain Permanent Residency (PR).

There is definitely an opportunity to game European backpackers who are travelling up the East Coast (e.g. from Sydney to Brisbane or Cairns). Many of these girls want to slut it up whilst they're travelling alone in the exotic Australian outback.

If you're a well dressed African American with some serious game, you will probably do very well in Sydney. However, I wouldn't say the same for a Black guy from Africa or a ghetto-style African American dude.

Regarding hipster girls, the key to being successful is being active in the alternative music scene. You'll need to dress the part (skinny jeans etc) and you get bonus points if you play in a band. Being legitimately interested in the scene is important, because if you're doing it just for the girls, people will notice. Social circle is also very important.

Sydney is also my hometown. I'm white, 25, 5'10, blond, in good shape, went to a Sydney private school and am familiar with the local scenes. Longterm lurker, this is my first post.

Biologist's datasheet is fairly accurate. Social proof and dressing well are more important here than most places. Foreigners will not be able to compete with the local guys for 'scene' and club rat girls who have massive bitch shields, so another approach is needed.

I even got tired of the cliquey, entitled princess mentality of the girls I grew up with/went out with on the North Shore/Northern beaches/eastern suburbs so this is what I use:

1. Cultured/Artist/Intellectual/Foreigner game. Go to Glebe Rd, King St Newtown or Crown St Surry Hills on Wed-Sun night. DON'T wear a suit. Be direct with approaches, but pick your target - girls with visible tattoos, piercings are usually more DTF. Act nonchalant but ask questions. Money is not respected by these girls, you want to make them feel sophisticated - so talk about travel, types of drinks, clothes, art, whatever. You want to contrast yourself with the brash crude aussie male, so facts about your background and experiences count here.

2. Backpacker game. Lots of local guys also do this, as so many are sick of their own kind. Typical hotspots include Monday night ScuBar, Tuesday night Sidebar, Thursday night Scary Canary, weekends any of these three, plus Opera Bar. This is mostly about being the life of the party, everything is 'awesome', heavy drinking, table dancing etc.I find actually being Australian a drawcard for backpackers, who mostly only meet other travellers. I've pulled off many successful closes using 'I'll show you around Sydney' dates to Manly, South Head and the Northern Beaches.

3. Money/Status game. Assuming you're not a local, you're not going to have social proof, but if you dress well and are in shape and have a credible story of your business/financial success, try Hugo's/Ivy/Shangri-La and have a shot at gold-diggers.

Is Sydney that bad for pick up?
I was there for 2 weeks in august and saw plenty of 7s on the street and in clubs as well. Girls around bondi are even more fitter, but even girls in inland suburbs are pretty hot (you will see a 8 pretty often).
The problem is obviously that the night club scene is pretty bad due to ratios, bad environments etc. But girls in the day are pretty good. Obviously you have competition as aussie guys are quite tall and big, and aussie girls don't really care much about you being the 'most interesting guy in the room' background, like girls in Non-Anglo Europe do.
As Sydney is quite a spread out city, and the downtown area is not like those of Europe, you need to somehow get into the right circles either through your hobbies, your work, or close friends etc. Backpacker crowd is pretty large in Sydney as a lot of people are on working holiday visas and there to enjoy/work.
However, if you do feel bored with aussie people, you can try do some sports like surfing to take your mind off alittle bit and just enjoy the scenery.

If you want a Ukrainian 9 with feminine attitudes, you are looking at the wrong place. But an aussie 7 is still quite attainable, if you are not ambitious enough yet.

I was born in Sydney and have lived here my whole life. This is my first post. I would like to make a few points about Sydney.

-Average to above average looking black guys kill it here (and no I am not black). I have seen this first hand based on black guys I know and seeing random blacks in clubs, etc. This partly due to there being a relative scarcity of black guys plus the associated cool perception that they get in Australia (athletes, rappers, etc). The scarcity of black guys in Sydney (relative to the overall population) is most extreme in the eastern, northern and central parts of Sydney. There are more blacks out west and hence they will not do as well in the west and also south parts of Sydney. Black americans are seen as being the coolest blacks but all blacks benefit.

-If you are a good looking guy (top 10%) in general you will get easy lays because girls are slutty, but if you are an average looking guy it will be a massive uphill battle even to fuck a 5. Foreign girls in Sydney are generally friendlier but they generally have adapted to the change in market conditions and subconsciously know their value. If you are average looking they may give you the time of day (unlike Aussie girls) but are likely (in my experience) to try and friendzone you. This applies to all foreign girls even FOB asians, european backpackers, etc

-Night life dies out pretty early. Many parts of Sydney have lockout laws. As a result of this pubs, bars, clubs, etc mostly have to lock the doors and stop letting people in at 1.30 a.m. although if you are already inside a venue you can stay inside (but if you leave cannot come back in). Due to this there are not many people who leave their house late at night. By midnight or at most 1.00 a.m. most places (there are a few exceptions though) start to get quiet. Also there is hardly anyone on the streets after midnight. Even taxis are less abundant than you would hope and there are few places to eat (maybe the odd 24 hour McDonalds or something). Sydney is therefore an inferior city for nightlife. Melbourne is better. If you want to do nightgame only do it in summer or soring as there is not enough volume of people out or enough of a good vibe the rest of the year to make it worthwhile. In Autumn and winter stick to daygame. In summer and spring you can use daygame or night game. Arive at venues early. Sometime between 7.00 p.m. and 9.00 p.m. is best. You may need to rotate between venues and do street game while walking around between venues and you may exhaust all the sets in a venue quit quickly especially whem it is not summer.

-For Daygame the best places (based on my results from trying different venues) are:

-Hyde Park (a largish park in the CBD area). Lots of backpacker girls like to hangout here when it is sunny. A lot of european backpackers that are too lazy to go to a beach (quite some kilometres from the city to any beach) will lay here and listen to music, eat or read and book and catch some tan. Also get a few Asian FOBs too. On the weekend there will be your fair share of Aussies too and during the week from midday to about 3.00 p.m. many Aussie office girls will come jere to relax and eat on their lunch break.

-Bondi Beach. World famous beach. Packed with backpacker girls from every country in summer and spring.

-Coogee Beach. Another beach on the east side of Sydney well known to foreign girls. Again this beach gets crowded in summer and spring.

-Sydney University (just don't go during semester breaks) I mean the main campus in the city not the smaller campuses. This is the best university for gaming because of the layout of the campus. Basically there is a big square in the middle with various grassy areas etc where all the students to congregate on breaks and between classes etc. Other universities have a worse layout with everything more spreadout so you do not get the mass congregation of students in one area like you do here.

In general in the wealthy parts of Sydney (central, eastern and northern parts of Sydney) the average Australian woman under 30 (Australian women age poorly) will be well dressed and relatively in shape and attractive (its not Moscow or Kiev but the girls are pleasant looking enough). In the cheaper parts of Sydney i.e. the western and southern parts of Sydney you will see way more fat, ugly and poorly dressed girls.

If you are an average looking guy Aussie girls will treat you with complete and utter contempt and disrespect. Better to stick to the foreign girls (still tough to crack but at least they are not as bitchy or entitled). Also Aussie women are really stupid. You will not be able to have an intelligent conversation with them. They are unbelievably stupid, even the ones that go to university and study law or medicine. Also they prefer dumb guys and get turned off by intelligence. Make sure you dumb down the conversation and keep it lighthearted and funny or else they will think you are boring. They like dumb footy players or steroided bodybuilders. If you are goodlooking and jacked you can fuck lots of aussie girls as they are really slutty.

For average looking guys (unless you are rich, throwing huge money at girls, doing drugs with girls at clubs, or have top 5% game) there is a very real possibility you will not get laid in Sydney (unless you drop your standards and fuck girls below a 5), not even woth foreign girls.

A few points I forgot to mention.

Sydney is a very sprawled city. Many people in Sydney to stay on their own side of Sydney (with the exception of going to the city for work). Therefore many people will not hang out (or even have much knowledge of) the other side of Sydney. For example people living on the east side of Sydney have never been to most of the suburbs on the west side of Sydney and may not have even heard of them.

The average Aussie girl in the expensive parts of Sydney (generally the central, northern and eastern suburbs) looks feminine and is well dressed, however there attitudes are extremely masculinr in many ways.

Foreign girls in Sydney tend to be somewhat more feminine in attitude but are typically less well dressed than Aussie girls. Unfortunately due to our geographic isolation from most countries and our high air fares even though we do get lots of foreign girls we rarely get the top international talent. You will find plenty of foreign girls in Sydney in the 6 - 7.5 range but foreign girls in the 8-10 range are exceedingly rare in Sydney.

Another factor impacting night life in Australia are laws regarding responsible service of alcohol meaning that venues are prohibited from serving alcohol to people that are deemed to be intoxicated and can (and sometimes do) ask intoxicated people to leave a venue or ban them ebtry into a venue. Of course its not policed/implemented perfectly but it is implemented to some extent meaning there are not as many falling on their face drunk girls put in public or on venues at night as you may expeirence in a similar sized city in other countries. If your game involves getting girls extremely drunk (or finding extremely drunk girls) then Sydney is not the ideal place for this type of game.

Aussie women love guys that work with their hands. If you are a builder, mechanic, plumber, musician, athlete, etc women love that shit. While it may not get you laid by itself it will massively tip the scales in your favour.

John5000, if you want FOB asian girls in sydney hang around the asian parts of the city. MR. Bs club/bar has heaps of Thai girls and there are some Thai restaurants and supermarkets nearby. Less than ten minutes walk from there will be a bunch of Korean restaurants and other venues if you want Korean girls. Also you can do some daygame in world square (a small shopping centre full of asian girls) or China Town. Also any of the cafes and shopping centres in Chatswood or burwood or strathfield will have heaps of asian girls. And catch the train to these places so you can game asian girls on the train ride. Few questions in relation to nightlife...

Your personal lowdown on best bars to hit before clubbing and the time in which they really get going? I would imagine the bar scene would be popular and have to get started fairly early with 1am lock outs and all.

I know lock out is at 1am but what time do most clubs really die? Any packed out until 4-5am at least? Not a fan of doing 11-2 nights, if I'm gonna party would prefer to have options 9pm-5am.

Also, any good nightlife Sunday-Wednesday?

Adrenaline most bars and clubs really do start dying down around 1.00 a.m. (the lockout is 1.30 a.m. not 1 by the way). The lock out laws apply to most parts of Sydney but not all. On Friday night and Saturday (except in winter) The Argyle and The Ivy (both in the CBD area) are still quite busy up until maybe 3.00 a.m. (due to the large number of people inside from before 1.30 a.m. not leaving). Other than that there are not to many options for places which remain busy after 1.30 a.m. also in winter everywhere is pretty dead. In general night game is a waste of time in Sydney. Night-time transport is bad, the ratios are usually bad, alcohol is expensive (I do not drink anyway but FYI), most of the venues are badly designed, bitch shields are high and everything dies down early. I would stick to daygame in Sydney. If you want to run dance game on backpackers (there are only enough backpackers to be worthwhile in summer and spring) try Scubar or Sidebar (both in the CBD area). The Coogee Bay Pavillion and the Coogee Bay Hotel can also have a decent number of european backpacker girls in summer and spring (both located at Coogee Beach on the eastern side of Sydney).

In Sydney if you want to go out at night I recomend leaving your house/hotel at 7.00 p.m. and making your way back home at around 2.00 a.m. As for which bars to hit before the clubs most bars do not have enough volume of girls so you will have to do a bit of a "bar crawl" and walk around and hit up multiple bars while doing street game in between.

Not much point of going out at night from Sunday to Wednesday.

I was just in Sydney Thursday-Sunday, going out every night, and can pretty much echo the difficulty of gaming there. In my time there, I went to The Ivy, Argyle and a few of the bars/clubs around Darling Harbour including Homebar.

The attractiveness of the women is certainly not the issue. There are some real stunners walking around, and I would probably bang about half of the girls 18-30 I saw walking around the CBD. Pound for pound the best quality I've seen in Australia which includes Melbourne, Gold Coast, Brisbane, and Adelaide. The European tourists bring the average up big time.

It also really isn't that difficult to get attention if you're a good looking dude. I consider myself a decent blueprint of what it takes to be successful in a city like Sydney. 6'0 (Maybe a little short), muscular, tanned skin, green/blue eyes ,and got eye raped a lot and even approached a few times while out. I also had a hotel in prime position near Darling Harbour.

With all this on my side, I still didn't get a notch. Plenty of numbers, and plenty of girls messaging me back keen to meet up in the days following but seem I was only there for a few days and went out every night didn't have enough time to make that happen. I found closing real difficult in Sydney for whatever reason. Maybe I just got unlucky but no action in a sample size of 4 nights for a guy who pulled 2 girls in 2 nights in both Melbourne and Adelaide are worrying signs.

On a another note, the traffic in that city is nuts. Takes forever to get anywhere if you're driving and many of the buses that go by are full and not picking up passengers, especially if you're heading to Bondi area on a nice, sunny day. Very frustrating to get around.
