in Phuket, shooting range practice
Do you know of a good, not too expensive Shooting range, in Phuket island, Thailand??

I have been quoted prices by tuk tuk drivers, of 1200 bahts for ten .45 bullets... bit expensive maybe? So, do you know a shooting range with cheaper prices, but still, of course, well-run and safe! Cool Thanks.

Yeah they are all pretty expensive man. 1000 baht for 9mm and .45 is what it costs from all of the ones I have been to, including the ones on Koh Samui.

Also don't get fooled by the pictures of guys holding an M-16, AK47 or M4A1.... They are all modified to shoot a .22 bullet. Its a massive anti-climax.

The less fucks you give, the more fucks you get.

Thanks Spalex. Also, I have heard that they put the gun, already loaded (one bullet at a time in the chamber, no ammo magazine) in your hand, they don't even let you handle the gun, they load it for you, one bullet in the chamber and an empty magazine... kinda no fun.

As to shooting an AK47 with .22 bullets, it would be like going to Russia and fucking ugly Nigerian whores. Senseless and anti-climax, sure.

All the ones that I have been to have loaded 10 rounds into the magazine and loaded it for me.

It is pretty shit...

There are a lot more places in rural Poland that give you a lot more freedom with the weapon.

BUT in Thailand... They sell beer at the shooting ranges! Also they will let you take pictures and let you fuck around with unloaded weapons.

The less fucks you give, the more fucks you get.

My friend went to Cambodia, said you could shoot at cows with RPG's, about $50 per grenade, and one grenade only.

No - when I was in Cambodia, that costs about $500 dollars. You have to buy the cow as well as the grenade. They're not gonna let you kill their cow for free Tongue

But yeah, shooting an AK-47 in Cambodia was pretty fun. Sick recoil, full clip. You can go one at a time or go full auto for fun. Pretty awesome. They had sniper rifles and other badass guns too.

PRO TIP: Go to the shooting range with a few buddies. It costs about $40 a clip, and you have to buy the whole clip. So if you want to shoot 5 guns and you're going on your own, that's gonna cost you $200 bucks. But if you go with 5 buddies and you each buy a $40 clip for 5 different guns, you can each have a turn shooting each gun. So if you want a range of experiences, go with a few buddies and share in the fun.

Can you buy the grenade and shoot it at something other than a cow?

The "I Like Guns" tour to Cambodia:

http://ilikeguns.com.au/

Quote:Well the last “I LIKE GUNS” Cambodia tour was a real blast, literally! We decided to buy several LGP(Propane) bottles and blow them up with the B40 RPG. It really worked well. Next trip have decided to buy a car as well and put the LPG bottles inside it.

We also had a great trip to a few new destinations via dirt bike jungle tracks and we came across a few interesting characters and had a really great time. The team that came were all cool to hang with as usual, I mean how can they not be cool, they love guns and adventure, what’s not to like!

I went to the shooting range in Camo, it was fun, not sure if the roomers about shooting the cows are still true though. Prices have gone up i remember paying $20 or $30 to shoot a full clip with an AK47

I think it was literally on the menu when I was there. Like, then give you a laminated menu with prices - AK47 $40, M14 $45, etc. Then at the very bottom you have the RPG a Cow for $500.

It's been a few years since I've been there though, I could be wrong Tongue
