A correction needs to be made to this mantra. The mantra should not be "fake it till you make it", it should be "believe it then achieve it".

Fake it till you make undertakes the belief that you are not something you want to be, a high value man in this instance, and by pretending to be someone else you can somehow become that person. The problem with this is that it fucks with your self-esteem. The mantra forces you to go through life pretending to be someone else because you do not see yourself as worthy enough to achieve your own goals. Every success you have pretending to be someone else does not build your confidence because you as a person did not succeed. Every failure you have does not lead to reflection because you never have to face your own personal faults.

I know this because I actually lived by the "fake it till you make it" mantra for over a year and it completely obliterated my self-esteem.

The mantra needs to be, "believe it then achieve it".

Deep down inside you need to believe that lying inside of you is who you really want to be. Then you need to go outside into the world and take that actionable steps necessary to achieve that higher form of being. This approach not only allows confidence to be built, but in times of failure it forces you to look into the mirror and face your own personal faults.

Believe it then achieve it leads to long term life success.

Fake it till you make it is like slapping a band-aid on a cut that will never heal.

It is not a defeatist attitude. This is just being realistic.

I was not saying do not approach very beautiful women. I was saying beautiful women tend to intuitively know where they stand on the scale of attractiveness, and where the men they talk to stand themselves.

I approach very good looking girls whenever I can. The big thing here is that there is a significant difference between having a good conversation with one, and actually getting one in bed.

It is pretty easy to have a good conversation with a beautiful woman, especially if you approach them often enough to be comfortable around them.

It is a lot harder to get a date with one.

It is even harder to bring one back from a date to your apartment.

Then it is very very challenging to get one completely naked on your bed primed for some good love making.

This is where I am saying that if you are not consistently having sex with 8+ women, even if you are approaching them consistently and doing whatever is humanly possible to bed them. Then it might be time to look in the mirror, see what can be improved, then make those improvements.

Ultimately, what I am saying is that if you are not having sex with women on the level that you desire, you need to rise above what you are today in order to reach that higher level of women.

I've noticed that the few times I approach the very high quality women I see sometimes on nights out, it's always a positive experience. They are very good to turn you down if they are not interested, it's like a feminine way of rejecting you that actually makes you more confident. It's weird.

The times it's gone well have proven to be some of my most memorable game experiences when out. Really fun, tension filled dances, conversations, and make outs. Haven't banged one yet so can't report on that.

I have yet to bang a '10'. Girls of such high caliber are very hard to come by. I've probably only approached less than 10 in total.

I intentionally friend zoned myself to a 10. Great conversation partner, and I would love to bang her, but I was shot down by minute one. She has served as a valiant wingman and arm candy/date on multiple occasions. It's usually a pleasure to be around the more beautiful as well as respectful women even if you aren't banging them.

I'll be honest I'm a coward when it comes to ten more times than not but I do approach on occasion, the exact type your takling about. I been shutdown pretty hard a few times but no skin off my nose.

I hate to go into something thinking of failing as we all know the old addage if you think you can or think your can't your probably right, that said though go in swinging for the fences if you strike out oh well most guys wouldn't have approached anyways so your a step ahead.

I know we often hear beautiful women say they don't get approached often enough and wish they would more because guys are intimidated. I think there's some truth to that but at the same time some women like that do have that my shit dont stink who are you to approach me attitude so sometimes I think it may be well received, other times hard shutdowns but oh well who cares right, move on to the next one.

I agree with your sentiment, but it's not like they're pedestalizing them. As long as that isn't the case, I think it's wonderful they're approaching 10s.

I did in China. A group of 6 Ukrainian models decked out to the nines. Tall as fuck with their heels on. I smoked some weed for the first time in years with this Canadian girl before I went out. Went out had a few beer and spotted the group of 6 smoking hot models. Ironically there was a 10 (prolly more like a 9) at Starbucks yesterday morning. I was pacing outside the exit, when I noticed she wasn't leaving and was planning to drink her coffee and sit down for a bit.

I decided fuck it, walked across the street to my condo and drank 3 shots. It helped me to clear my mind and and I went back to the coffee shop and opened her. She turned out to be quite friendly, which can sometimes be uncommon in Miami. Turns out she had a boyfriend...although there's no difference IMO between her (9 or 10) and a plain 6 other than looks.

The problem with most guys has nothing to do with the girl and everything to do with how you feel about yourself - your internally value. If you feel you are not good enough for any girl then you will probably not get her. As other guys have already mentioned, there is no way to know how a girl values herself internally and that is what really matters. You might think a girl is a 6 but internally she may think of herself as a 9 and a girl you think is a 9 may think of herself as a 6 internally. Remember, what you have accomplished in your life and the work you have put in to achieve who are you today. She may have been born with her looks but you have had to work hard to achieve whatever you have.

Once you feel you are good enough for any girl, approaching her is easy. Now, I do understand this is easier said than done.

Or another way to look at it, as other guys on here do: when you have nothing to lose, you have everything to gain.

It's mostly your internal view of yourself. And it is something you build the same way you are building your career - one step at a time. Another important concept I use, is that I don't rate girls. I just think of them as different. I either enjoy being with a girl or I don't. It doesn't matter what other people think of her, it only matters how I feel when I am with her. Once you stop rating girls then they can no longer be better than you or anyone else, they can only be different than you or someone else.
