Separated guy, day game report
Since last I wrote, I've been working the day game as hard as I can...with pretty good success...

At first I started out trying what this guy recommends. It's pretty much devoted to street approaches and recommends going direct and following up with a cold read. Then wherever the conversation goes, working in a qualifier if possible, then getting the number after no more than 15 minutes.

Zero success for me with this after maybe 20 approaches. I was pretty indiscriminate with regard to ethnicity, skewing young, about half in a preppy neighborhood and the other half in a hipster one. Got a few "don't make me pull out my rape whistle psychostalker" looks, a few easy letdowns, and some giggles out of two-sets, but zero numbers...

I can be pretty low-energy starting out. It takes a perfect storm for me to get in a real social mood... Don't know if I should chalk it up to AA, or if those are just my limitations.

My two successes were both with situational openers...

First was in a bookstore. Cute but nothing special 5.5 indian chick, but get this, she was reading the fucking "Red Queen!" That was like shooting fish in a barrel... This was a few weeks ago and has turned into a steady lay with zero LTR expectations...she even knows I'm separated and doesn't care.

And it's true, they do like a good spanking...

So this has been good for my mental state, but afraid it's sapping my energy...

Number two: Sleeping under a tree on a Sunday afternoon in the park, dead center of the hipster neighborhood (where I live now)...

Wake up and right in front of me is a hipster latina 6 with a j-lo ass scribbling away in a Moleskine... I pretend to watch the softball game going on behind her, then get up as if I'm about to leave, walk over and remark that she must have a lot of pithy social observations on the other frolicking hipsters, false time constraint as I sit down, then pick apart the social interactions of all the different groups we can see. Got the number and left after 15 min...

Called back the next evening, got a date for Thursday... Took her to the art museum which was open late (and free!). I would highly recommend this for the first stop on a first date if your city has something like it. Lots of good fodder for witty observations (of course it turned out she's an artist, so I hit a dumb luck home run on that one, but I used this on the other girl too).

I made use of a lot "Bang" material (out of respect for Roosh I won't describe it, but the one routine he calls indispensible is pure gold). After the bar, made out on a park bench for half an hour, but had to go home cause I had to get up at the asscrack of dawn. Didn't push for the SNL for the same reason, I know it's advisable, but there was absolutely no way I could have done it...

Only bad part was that we live on the same train line, so I couldn't leave right at the emotional high, oh well...

Called back last night, nothing yet, but we'll see...

Anyway, my limited experience suggests that after a brief day game pick-up, there's still a fair amount of attraction work to be done on the first date, so don't start out with too much comfort material...

Another issue that I'd like some advice with is how to work with dumb chicks, basically I do well with intellectual/artsy girls, or those that have pretensions to be, even if they aren't that smart...

So how the hell do you have a conversation with a dumb chick?

Good to see the tide seems to be turning. I say focus on indirect, as success of direct game is more dependent on your looks than anything.

Don't! Just keep talking yourself, praying that she doesn't interject.

Gunwitch is putatively a very not-pretty motherfucker, and his game is perhaps the most direct of all. I got his "way of gun" cd's, and while I suppose it's useful in a "find your damn nuts" sorta way, it was a little hard for me to take seriously.

boho, thanks for the good writeup. It gruntles me to hear that you can take 20 shutdowns in a row and keep on chugging. I hope you keep on digging till you strike poon oil.

Ask open ended questions and let her run with it.

Girls love yapping.

RE: Separated guy, day game report
I've seen reports in other forums suggesting that it does work. Obviously, if you look like Bukowski, that dog's just not going to hunt. But I think you really need to project a kind of naive enthusiasm that I just don't have.

So, is there a way to do a street stop without going direct?

Like you see a girl coming towards you on, get some good eye contact, then right after you pass her, stop and get her attention.

Then what?

I just can't see what standard indirect openers could work. Is it possible to just ask where's the nearest Starbucks, then do a cold read or something? I guess I'll try that, but seems like an attraction killer.

When ranking pickup numbers by a girl's profession, I find Starbucks coffee girls to be the 2nd easiest.

RE: Separated guy, day game report
Good stuff.

I live about 1 mile from work and I walk to work every day. I usually see two hotties, one standing by the bus stop and the other walking my 'way.' I can definitely do a false time constraint with the one walking my way, but the one at the bus stop is much tougher because I can't hop on the bus with her and it would be creepy to talk to her at the bus stop and not get on the bus.

Any advice on the openers? Bus stop girl has an interesting tattoo and the girl walking my way dresses like a ho

Get a bus transfer an offer it to the bus stop girl.
ask the other one "are you working or walking"

Mahalo.

Just keep the working girl scenario playful. "I see you every day. This your stroll?" Go from there.

Aloha!
