So,

I am officially sick of living in the South. It's been fun, I have honed my game against both subtle and blatant racism, the age factor, and all sorts of other obstacles and I have done well for myself.

I hook up with women I find attractive regularly. Now, at the risk of sounding pretentious, I want to find women I connect more with, and there is too much ridiculous subtle shit wrong with the South.

My trip to Europe I took was surreal because of how absurdly easy it was for me to run game and not feel any of the previous barriers I became acclimated to navigating.

Women aren't the main motivator, I just feel like it's time to relocate and do something more interesting.

I will be moving in two weeks-1 months time and this is my process of documenting my research and doing reconnaisance on other places.

I am looking at:
-Brno
-Prague
-Montreal
-Krakow
-Melbourne

I would prefer a cheaper city, but since my work will be location independent by the time I relocate, I am more interested in a place that offers something interesting culturally, things to do during the day, good food, and quality women.

In Melbourne you probably won't find widespread issues with 'racism' (I'm guessing you're black).

If you look good, have a well built body, a central apartment and can either talk and or dance well you'll probably get 50+ notches per year from night game in Australia if you go out 2-3 times weekly. Some on RVF seem to think black guys have an advantage with girls here also.

Additionally, the greatest thing about our major cities (Sydney, Melbourne and to a lesser but growing degree Brisbane) is the huge number of girls from different backgrounds. There is Asian girls from every country, European and Middle eastern chicks from across the map, many Africans (if that's your thing) and a small but easy to find number of Latinas also.

Melbourne is a fucking good city too, always something to do, and not too far from beautiful beaches (although not as good in this department compared to Sydney).

Now the downsides of Melbourne:
-expensive (check out realestate.com.au for apartment rentals, a good quality 1-2br central in Melbourne will be $450/week upwards and plan to earn 5x your rent to live an above average/good lifestyle of a young playboy). It's also expensive to travel anywhere except Asia, just looks at any local airlines at the international tickets and be shocked.
-you said "I want to find women I connect more with" well it's hard to know what you're looking for unless you share with us, but probably you won't find it in Australia . Chicks here are definitely feminist, not in the way that they will march on slut walks and complain of the patriarchy, but rather there is simply a lack of femininity amongst Aussie girls, many are hot, but don't expect nice natures, heavy drinking, loudness, desire for attention, inability to be submissive (or at least a extreme desire to shit test), lack of knowledge on cooking/household skills, large numbers of sexual partners, narcissism, addiction to party drugs (MDMA esp), addiction to prescriptions and in general a strong desire to be manly in terms of travel, careers, conquests etc is common. Another thing interesting is that religion is not very widespread amongst young girls here, if you are religious you might find it offputting, and even if you are not, it is easy to see how it's absence is integral to the foul natures of many Aussie girls. Of course there is many diamonds amongst the rough but then if you find one, you're still subject to feminist laws regarding marriage and defacto relationships which will hang over your head. This is not to say don't come here, but keep in mind if it's mainly feminine women that is leading you to move, you might not be too much happier in Australia and would be better off elsewhere.

Anyway that's my opinion, it sounds like a rant upon re-reading but really it's not, it's impossible to hate living in Australia, but just don't be blind to its downsides which many of my countrymen cannot admit.

Why he'd actually consider Melbourne just because I live here makes no sense to me though. I like the city but there's a million better places out there which also have a much lower cost of living. A studio in Melb CBD starts at $1,200 a month. A 2 bedroom is $1,800. That'd surely blow Atlanta and Charleston out of the water, let alone Montreal and Eastern Europe.

P.S How would you even score a residency permit in EE? If you're serious about moving go to Miami or Montreal even. Both are cheaper and would have higher quality girls than Australia for sure.

Wow, I see what you mean. There are a few job opportunities I could take there whilst working on things that interest me on the side that would allow me to make enough to live a good lifestyle. The things that come to mind for me mostly I wonder is: difficulty of getting a holiday/work visa, food (I can live anywhere deal with some bullshit, and do anything, as long as there is good food accessible). Though, from australian girls I've met and seen, you gotta be super aggressive becuase that's the culture, would you say that's true?

@Pdog: Montreal girls are hot, Montreal is chill, but I don't know if I could live there just becuase the culture feels so off to me sometimes. It's somewhere I would consider, just Montreal can be such a pain in the ass sometimes.

If you are open to job opportunities then the cost of Australia will not be a problem, if you have spare time after you've worked on your location independent income you could bank on $20/hour for bar/restaurant jobs, $30-40 for consulting with coding or CAD work. Work on those figures and see what sort of income you could make. Accommodation costs you can get an idea of with the websites http://www.domain.com.au/?mode=rent and http://www.realestate.com.au/rent try searching suburbs of Melbourne like Southbank (high end, in the middle of the best dining district, offices and minutes walk from clubs), Docklands (mid-high end but not as central to entertainment and work, good public transport access) & Carlton (low-mid end, lots of students, good public transport but not as central to entertainment and work). Aggressive is a good summary, but no stupid gimmicks like 'negs' they will generally only serve to damage the almighty egos chicks here have and get you nowhere.

OP have you considered another city in the US where you won't have to deal with what you're facing in the south?

Interesting site. Seems that when looking at relative cost of living and incomes Miami is killing us. Of all the cities I tried only NY exceeds Melbourne, and only San Fran matches it. But if you then compare Sydney, even NYC can't match it for expensive cost of living.

Cost of living comparison sites usually use apartment rents to determine housing costs, instead of average home prices... This makes Australia look cheaper than it actually is. The average house in the Sydney metro area now costs $775,000. That's almost double the New York area's.

But what is rent for a one bedroom in downtown Sydney compared to downtown Manhattan? I think comparing the areas as a whole will skew the results, because I doubt BQ is looking to move to Queens.

That article of the NYU girl paying 2k for her tiny studio in New York makes me think a decent one bedroom in a prime area there has to be ridiculously expensive.

Sounds like we could make a good thread out of this. Combine the hard stats, with the forums knowledge to find the ultimate city for location independent earners and other categories of lifestyles.

Yeah Sydney CBD (central business district, basically the city centre) studios start at like $1.8k a month. You can find studios from $1.3-$1.4k a month around Kings Cross, which for you non-Aussie members is an infamous nightclub/stripclub hotspot just east of the CBD.

Australia is a long ways to go and very isolated.

Go to Central or Eastern Europe and pay alot less than these prices being quoted here. I am sure Oz is nice but it can't compare to Czech Rep, Hungary, Croatia etc for talent and cost of living.

Sounds like you know your shit about Australia. Did you hear about the new nightlife laws in Sydney? 1am lockouts and 3am cut off where after venues cannot sell drinks (thus effectively it's a 3am closing time mandated as no club will stay open if it can't make money). I'm curious to see how it affects the dynamics of the city's nightlife, some of my best nights out have come from a late night trip into Kings Cross which will be no more. OP, for this reason alone don't worry about Sydney, stick with Melbourne is you want AUstralia.
