RE: Alpha Playbook Book Review
I bought a copy last week, not had a chance to read it fully yet but so far i've checked out a couple of the chapters.
It's 113 pages broken up into 4 main sections:
- Game
- Style
- Fitness & Recipes
- Lifestyle
The Deep Conversation part of the game section is excellent, loads of good stuff in there. Same with Fitness & Recipes, my culinary skills are lacking but there are some great easy to prepare dishes listed.
Hope to get through the rest of it this week, definitely worth the money.

RE: Alpha Playbook Book Review
Christian McQ sent me a review copy. Disclaimer- I am a buddy of his.
Game- In line with "manosphere views".
Deep Conversion- New stuff, good elaboration on the Roissy's "play with a women emotions/heartstrings"
Style- Not many resources handle dressing like playfully. Mostly I see are old-man clothes style. This section is a touch light, but it definetely throw in some worthwhile tips to build on a style re-eduation. I recommend "Dressing the Man" by Alan Flusser for a more in-depth overview and historical context to a broad base of style. Christian throw in his personal spin on it, so I would recommend an fashion neophyte to re-read this section a few times.
Fitness- Skipped this section, but a quick skim revealed hotel-optimized training or home training. Format was mostly interval/circuit bodyweight training.
Recipe- Nothing of huge note, but some good recipes here. Pick up the 10-minute recipes book or something of the sort to supplement. The gist is that its not hard to make food, and it shouldn't take you huge amounts of prep time.
Lifestyle- This is more a psychology of lifestyle. Great section.
Overall, Id give it a B rating with gems of A+ material scattered in. Two sections stand out- Lifestyle/Deep Conversion. Christian speaks with authority and few have breached or experienced enough to teach these areas.
Somethings that could be improved
1) Pictures for the fashion and recipe sections.
2) More tie-ins to authority books that could further one's education in fashion, fitness, cooking
3) I would have liked a section on taking "alpha" too far. Admittedly, this is often from over-compensation (prior years as a human doormat) or from rigidity to following rules BUT I would have liked to see a mention of when it would be more applicable to scale it back.
4) Tying in w/#3, the risk and pitfalls of an alpha life. Common problems, mistakes and how to interact w/those normal people in your life. Not everybody has the freedom to become a independent man, but there is a way to deal w/common folk AND I PERSONALLY HAVE SEEN C.McQ IN ACTION.
Criticisms aside, I enjoyed the read.
Who will this book benefit the most? Guys in the "intermediate phase of Game"- between 1-4 years of heavy game application or guys who might have had that "natural game" but lost it through a long-term relationship.
For complete novices, this book will whet your appetite for future possibilities. For those who are in the expert level (50+ lays/10+ ONS) , only 2 sections will give you further knowledge- deep conversion/lifestyle.
WIA- For most of men, our time being masters of our own fate, kings in our own castles is short. Even those of us in the game will eventually succumb to ease of servitude rather than deal with the malaise of solitude

Quote:In the easiest way I could sum this book up was : Straight Pimp Shit
McQueen doesn't hold back with his words. He tells it how it is. You're an adult.. I hope. You don't need someone babying you through your life. He writes a good portion on just sucking it up, digging deep inside yourself and trucking on.
The author gives you ever step that you need down to his personal manifesto, to uplift you and reaffirm in yourself that you are THE SHIT
Only after then...Can you get even be successful.
