I've read many posts or blogs that make vague references about when the golden ages of clubs/house music were, when phone and the text game changed, how new ways to date and meet girls have changed the game etc...

I thought a thread specifically targeting the current year could be kept as a log for RVF to add new theories and observations about how things are currently changing in the game with women. As time passes trends should develop and predictions may be seen through.

My personal observation of late is that girls especially (and people in general) often take 5-6 hours+ to return texts. This has made me have to watch my pipeline more closely as I have to forecast about how many texts and hours away it may take to get plans locked down (especially if the girl has to reschedule). Of course this has resulted in more terse and direct texting with much less fucking around.

I would say as recently as 1-2 years ago girls I would get into contact with pre-bang may take 2-3 hours max most of the time if there were interested to get back. Often times we would have short flirty text conversations and we would go back and forth a few messages until someone got busy. Now it seems it is difficult just to start a text conversation.

Am I alone?

Online I have found the girls that respond, respond fast to want to meet fast, I see this as well. Last 2 of 3 online girls (in last 2 months) were quick set ups and first date bangs within 2-3 hours of meeting. One met me at my place and came inside for a pre-game drink at night with never meeting me before and she was a 7+.

I agree online game is getting easier, girls really aren't messing around and want to get laid if they are responsive.

I have done much less online gaming lately. Still, I am feeling texting is taking longer. Girls are still down to meet, but response times are longer.

I couldn't agree more with you on the time to return text messages. I've noticed it with girls, sure, but even some of my acquaintances who I'm not that close with seem to take forever. It's frustrating because you KNOW these people have their phones on them 24/7, but if you asked anyone about it, you'd seem insecure or needy. It's one of those things that the offender can easily play off and turn back around on you.

I think this is because people are overloaded with calls, emails, social media, blogs, forum posts... they just are overloaded and don't care as much.

This observation has given me great insight to go back to using more Phone game. I always slip into text only.

I feel even leaving a 5 word voicemail, can leave your voice in the girl's head and bring her to get in contact more quickly. Girls are more heavily attracted to voice than men are by a long shot and I forget this. If she gets on the phone and you work her well, you're golden.

Online game has reached a kind of golden age. Once you learn how to do it successfully, online game can be an almost automated system for slaying.

Basically: brief online exchange, logistics, meet at a bar, grab a drink or two, bang. Or second-date bang. Why opt for day game when online is so easy?

Online game makes us lazy. I live in NYC. Online game in NYC is a monster. As others hint, it's very easy here to bang on OkCupid if you do it right. The girls are quicker to meet, and do not waste time. Generally.

I no longer engage in online game.

Even with less poon, I am more present, aware of the opportunities around me. I believe that this is more beneficial to my overall well-being than becoming dependent on and lazy with online game.

Looking at it from the other side. Younger men today are weak. I wouldn't want to spend time with them either. And I'm a straight man.

Astute observations. Very apropo thread as it has brought on some reflection for me.

My prediction would be that as technology advances and the newest IPhone # ? is brought to the market, the club game will continue to suffer. It's been noted on another thread ('How weed will change the game - I'm paraphrasing) that the new more relaxed laws will make weed even more accessible. IMO all these conditions combined will continue to distance people from having physical interactions. More recluses, hell we might start seeing "online" clubs where we can "channel" that same energy on our portable devices. Trippy type shit.

As for women, the cat is outta the bag...the attention whoring will only get worst. They have CHOICES, which is the absolute worst thing to happen to the avg guy. The rabbit's got the gun so to speak. There has to be a site for EVERY kinda narcissistic bitch in the stratosphere.

It becomes even more necessary to stand out when running your game. If she takes a long time getting back texting, go ahead and move around and follow through with your previous plans.

If she's short be shorter.

Don't holler back until she does, in all likelyhood she's being distracted by one of her "admirers" anyway.

Writing this I sorta feel like a dinosaur since I got in on the 'ground level' of this internet shit.

I can go back to the late 90's (98'-99') when chat rooms were all the rage. I would 'surf' (retro ass fuck term) different regions around the country, but mostly the within 100 miles of my locale. Hell, I was even able to set up a situation for a trip I made to NY. Gradually, this gave way to the rise of paid dating sites. Me personally, I always saw this as P4P. The advancement of sites/apps like POF, OKC, Tinder have become more suitable to the on-the go lifestyle of a player.

Went on a date with a white little hamster 7/10 rating at Starbucks last Sunday. We talked about what we both did for new year's eve. She was out on the town with her girlfriends bar hopping. I was with my current LTR.

The little hamster was mad about what happened that night. Apparently, she was the hottest of the trio so men would periodically come up to her and ask to buy her a drink. Problem you say? She was mad that guys did not buy drinks for all of her friends too!!!!!!!!

What I'll do is set up 5 dates in a day with multiple girls lined up for every date. So this is literally what I'll have written in my phone:

Noon - Ashley, Becky, Lisa
3pm - Jennifer, Layla
6pm - Annabelle, Felisha, Alison, Nikki

Midnight - Anita, Diana

I do this knowing that for any given date, any number of the girls might cancel. Having the backups makes me not give one iota of fuck and the girls sense it and it makes them more likely to bang once they do show up. Obviously, what ends up happening is that I make many girls wait half an hour or more to see me.... Sometimes up to two hours. Others start huffing and puffing and leave.. but guess what? Observations:

As above, girls take hours and hours to text back.

I appear needy because I want to see a girl again after fucking her. Their lives are so busy with bullshit work and socializing that your relative availability makes you seem needier than her.

If you fuck her on the first date you're a player who only wants sex and she'll never see again because you moved too fast, if you're a beta she will get bored and won't fuck you.

Going out to bars is largely for attention whoring, more than ever. The same girl is more receptive online than in a bar, if she does online dating. If she doesn't she is fucking guys through her circle.

The decline of okcupid. The rise of tinder. The top % of men with game & looks will continue slaying the majority of quality pussy on all online channels.
Future looking bleak for the avg blue pill male. Will continue to be frustrated & porn up. Indeed a golden age for online players.

Daygame

Tier 1 US cities more difficult than ever. Low end markets still excellent. Shock & awe of a confident day time cold approach remains highly location/city dependant.
Eastern European capitals still great, but disturbing western attitudes & distractions emerging.

Nightlife

General decline. Could go the way of dinosaur as women have less attention whoring need due to technology. Increasing prices, porn, & thirst competition detering more avg men from spending.

Social circle

Warm leads still strongest, but fewer opportunities due to increased reliance on social media.

I don't know. But curious to hear from guys who work this channel.

While OKCupid is declining, I expect its role will change with the onset of Tinder. As in any economic market, the emergence of more firms forces firms to either occupy a more specialized niche or leave the market entirely. I'd guess that OKC users will typically be less flaky and more weird/fringe than girls in other channels. She's using OKC when Tinder is easier and more accessible, the question is why.

The decline of girls going out in pairs on a quest for dick will continue apace.

This is what I see with online. I'm in my mid 40's so unless I lie about my age, I'm auto-disqualified. Tinder just shows how online dating is going, all that matters is your pictures. I've been stopping online game because my theory is that if I work on my in-person skills, I'll have an advantage. This is my prediction - people who have actual people skills will become freakishly important. We're going to reach a point where charisma will become extremely rare, and thus extremely powerful.

I'm starting to ramble, but this thought I've had in my mind is that people and/or society are starting to de-evolve. I've been reading "The Shallows" which is about the effect of technology on our minds, and it seems to me that in many ways we're returning to our genetic roots - our communications are becoming more primitive, our attention is now attuned to constant environmental distractions, even in the "group mind", people have an affinity for the "natural" - just witness all the food fads (paleo, gluten free, etc). Evolutionary fitness is cited constantly as justification for any fad.

I'm by no means an experienced player, but I would say that the changes we see in the playground are heavily based on the location of the playground. Being from Estonia, I have to say that thankfully our society hasn't been totally swallowed by technology just yet. Numbers of chicks browsing through fb while being out are pretty low, online dating scene is also non-existent. With the increase of Westernization, both of these in my opinion disturbing factors are going to skyrocket. Living in a country that is a few years behind has its positivies I guess.

I look at the online scene around me & I feel like an alpha presence in literally, a sea, of beta's.
So yeah, I'd say the time is now for online dating.

Hmmm... Maybe. Here the data plan isn't exactly cheap (nobody I know has a flat rate data plan so the bandwith isn't exactly unlimited; on the other hand, normal internet is cheap and has a flat rate) and almost every bar has a WiFi (some even without any password), and getting the passwords is as easy as asking the bartender for the pass - every woman here will ask for a WiFi password if she needs internet since it's free and doesn't require much effort on their part.
There's even a moderately successful opener: "Do you know the WiFi password? I can't seem to get the right one from the bartender." - she will at least respond that she doesn't know the pass.

Edit: I just realized the confusion - I meant bar, not club. In club I don't focus on those girls; I dance (the exception - dead club with almost every girl on her phone and not dancing because it seems like it's mandatory for some reason for clubs to have WiFi - yes, that actually happened once)! But for daygaming (and dead clubs) this is golden! Sorry if this confused you, I hope it's clear now.
