Just got back from club Jetset.

Good night.

First real set I attempted(aka I opened loud and got their attention) I hooked(A dominican 6.5). She was pretty cute.

She did ask where i stayed but when I tried to pull she wasn't down. Wanted to stay with her friends(2 of her friends who both liked me). My spanish is bad, but I have a feeling if my spanish was good I'd have gotten the ONS.

She said she wanted to see me again so will do a day 2 with her.

Fisto, THC, and 20nation are all cool as fuck. They were with girls(all of them very attractive) so I spent most of my time with the group of three girls I was talking to.

Made it home by taxi, thanks to help from friendly dominicanos.

I'm loving this country. Going to try going for some hotter girls as well(first girl I banged was a 7-7.5 imo, great body and fairly good face).

Well I just got in from cruising Colonial zone and the malecon (water front). Apparently that is NOT where the hot single girls are for NYE. There were outdoor concerts in both places. Well a few factors came into play here:

1. It was dead on xmas eve and xmas.
2. I didn't get a sim card until the third day.
3. I was sick for my final 3 days and did absolutely nothing.
4. I fucked up a seemingly easy lay with that chick that I met in the conde.

That just might be my male hamster trying to rationalize my shitty game, though.

Grasshopper just mentioned that he was out in some suburb barrio for new years eve at midnight. He said there were about 3 girls for every 2 guys. Saw maybe 20-25 super hot 9+ girls. Saw sets with no one talking to them. Girls dressed to the 9s

We might try to get the name of the Barrio and hit it up again tonight.

Damn wish I could have been there for the NYE meetup! My new years eve was probably one of the lamest I've ever experienced, went to my uber-nerdy cousins apartment in D.C., this guy was valedictorian at Yale and went to Harvard Law. There was a gay couple, a short nerdy Asian guy and his ugly GF, and probably one of the ugliest black girls I've ever seen who was most likely a lesbian, and was talking about "feminism" and "gender neutrality." At least my cousin had a cute Asian GF.

Any how I'm due to touch down this upcoming Tuesday and will stay at the hotel where the meetup was planned for, the one that starts with a P and is at the Parque Colon in the C.Z. After that I may try to stay there if I like it and they have rooms, or check out KavaKid's spot or Napolitano.

I haven't done any pipelining and may not even bother, I'd always like to get laid, but to be honest I'm not sweating racking up notches, the "golden touch down", or any of that shit.

I'm wondering if there any tech savvy RVF guys that could help me unlock my iphone, install a new sim card, and help me download whatsapp, at this point I'm still debating bringing it, but if I know for sure there is someone whose down to help me I'll bring it. I'm down to kick someone some pesos, buy a bomb dinner, or drinks, etc.

I'm literally tech retarded, I don't even know how to take my phone apart to remove the sim card, I'm paranoid I'll some how fuck it up if I try. Another concern is if I bring my iphone with me and people call or text me from the states, will I get fucked in the ass by AT&T for roaming charges even if I don't reply with calls or texts from the phone? I hear horror stories about people who use their phones abroad and get reamed with $1000 + charges, that's the last thing I need.

If no one from the forum reaches out to help I may bring the phone and just leave it off, or just get a pre-paid cell and hope that I can communicate by calling chicks or just focus on ONS or same day lays.

Starting to get excited although admittedly my head isn't in the game, started dating this chick in Cali the past month and been focusing too much on her, I'm certainly down to pound some D.R. chicks, but I may not be as hungry and motivated as I should be, although that may change when I touch down in S.D.

So far Carribean Soul has gotten in touch with me, I'd like to link with him and anyone else who will be in S.D. at the same time. Going to bring some mushroom chocolates and a bottle of high end tequila, going to kind of get all Hunter S. Thompson out there, although the chocolates I plan to eat at Playa Rincon on the N. Coast.

That's it for now, looking forward to the warm Carribean weather, been freezing my balls off here in D.C. Anyone who can advise or help me on my phone situation or is down to meet up... Holler.

Call up your cell provider asap and ask them if your phone is locked, and if not to unlock it.

If they can't unlock it buy an locked entry level smartphone(around 150$) and it'll do you well in the DR.

Don't worry about people texting you, since you're gonna get a dominican SIM you'll get a new number so people wont be able to text you anyways.

Im living with kavakid right now till the 9th. Let me know when you're in town and I"ll hit you up.

The forum members in DR are incredibly helpful and friendly, you'll be taken care of.

There are places that unlock phones on like every street corner here. I don't know pricing exactly, but I know they wanted $25-$40 for my Nokia c3 blackberry clone. I never did it, I just bought a cheap unlocked alcatel phone for $40. I can't use whatsapp on it though. I run whatsapp on my laptop using the Android emulator "bluestacks". I keep girls number in my phone and on whatsapp on my laptop. A smartphone would be ideal, however. Really you don't have to have whatsapp. Just text a girl. If she doens't have minutes to text back she will call you and hang up. that means call her back using your minutes.

It turns out the Barrio Grasshopper went to is called Alcarrizos. I think they sometimes say "Los Alcarrizos". I see quite a few girls online from there. Must be a place with wierd girl-guy ratios. Too many girls. I might try to hit it up on a saturday night sometime.

How dressed up do you guys get when you hit up the bar/club scene over there? I'm sure a lot of it is venue dependent, I normally dress more casual, dope t-shirt, jeans, and maybe a flat bill, but this time I'm going to pack a nice button down dress shirt and blazer.

I certainly don't want to be under-dressed, but I don't want to be over-dressed either, especially if I'm rolling dolo. I guess I'll have to feel out the scene and see how it goes, but if anyone has any tips for me on that front I'd appreciate it.

Some epic shit. However, I will say that I have had my wallet returned to me 1 out of 2 times I lost it here. I was in a bus in duarte and I got off. So, me and torontokid are outside trying to get him in the club. We go to the payment window and tell the guy that our friends have a table. He says "como te llamas". torontokid says his name. Dude doesn't even look down at his nonexistent computer or guestlist and says he is not on the list. So we are standing around eyeing the 350 pound bouncer talking about how the fuck we are gonna get past that guy. We eye him, he eyes us like we are a late night snack. He crosses his arms. All the sudden he grins and says in english "checkitout!" and points to his eye. Again, "checkitout!" and he stands aside. So I tell him that torontokid will be right back after finding you guys.

I will never forget Shaq telling us to "checkitout! checkitout!" while pointing to his eye.

Anyone have any gym recommendations in Santo Domingo? I want to maintain a somewhat decent level of fitness on my trip. It looks like Gold's Gym and Body Shop are the two main options, is one better than the other? I assume both will allow you to pay for a day pass, I'm kind of wondering how much that may cost, because I know a lot of gyms tax the shit out of you for single day use. I'll most likely be staying in the colonial zone or Gazcue for reference sake.

Thanks for the offer bro, I may take you up on that, would be cool to link up and train with a beast like yourself. Unfortunately, I've got shit genetics and lose muscle quick, so I really want to throw down with the barbells, you know the usual (squat, bench, rows, deadlift, overhead press, etc.) Anyhow, once I hit the streets of S.D. and get a phone I'll try to get a hold of you.

There is a small gym in zona colonial for $1.00 (40 pesos) per visit. Its located in the fruit market just north of Parque Independencia. At first I thought all the old equipment was generic. Then I noticed that under the dust some of them have nautilus shells. This is where old gym equipment goes to die... The place is all dumbells, barbells, and about 20 machines. There is one old treadmill for cardio.
