@parlay44- Flip the script man. What if a girl didn't feel like motivating you- didn't have your back, didnt encourage what you love and held dear to you.

I agree that its pointless to help people who refuse to change, but those who want to change but have doubts, insecurities or hang-ups... why not give them emotional support?

The golden rule states to treat others as one would like to treat oneself.

It is fun to take, conquer and dominate, but its equally enjoyable to help, caress and elevate others to new heights.

Am I really the only one who thinks this way?????

I'd improve a girl if I thought she needs it. I like helping people, but that's just who I am. The downside is they will eventually leave you for "better pastures", which isn't a problem unless you have massive oneitis for the girl.

Try to think of it like this DVY. You're living with a woman and there are 10 usual chores that need to be done in order for the household to function properly. It doesn't matter how you divide up the work as long as it's 50/50. Would it benefit it you to have a woman that is good at the 5 things that you're good at or would the household run better if she was good at the other 5 chores?

I think soup said it right, you can upgrade them, but always let them know they gotta do better in the future. Reward and dread, as others like CH have noted.

I've kinda gone the other way. I've been into hour glass and voluptuous, now I want fit, slender, elegant.

As I get stronger and fitter, I'm less willing to accept chicks that border on sloppy.

I don't know if this is "upgrading", but I live in a relatively small area and make do with what I got. I'll drop little hints that something about a girl I'm seeing is not up to spec with me. Maybe a slight random comment how her ass has "potential". Sure as shit, the girl I'm seeing now, after subtle shaming, is hitting the gym 4 times a week doing squats and 45 min of cardio. Little to no effort on my part.

That's not upgrading.
There's nothing subtle or subconscious about what we're discussing.

We're not dropping hints or making ambiguous remarks.

We're explicitly telling a chick she needs to do X,Y, and Z to be more attractive. This is way past the neg stage. You're the new sheriff of pussy town, and there's gonna be some changes.

Usually most guys are not this demanding outside of the bedroom.
You'll tell a chick to bend over and spread em, but most guys aren't gonna send a chick back to her closet to take off the wedges and put on some heels.

I actually think a lot more can be said on this topic, but I'm getting the sense dudes are getting defensive and just trying to keep their general appearance up.

It really goes back to some core issues, like "Are you comfortable with power?"

You've got this chick's happiness in your hands.
But her sadness is there as well.

And there is also your own.

We're really just scratching the surface imo.

Nah, call me selfish, but I'd rather spend the time and energy to upgrade myself. I think some suggestions here and there to increase her attractiveness are fine, but to lead her through some type of full transformation is asking for trouble.

For me, I don't really care that she'd have more options. Many of the girls I've dated seriously I had the upper hand, so I didn't have fear of her straying.

My issue is that the majority of women are just completely ungrateful for nearly anything you do for them. They think they 'deserve everything.' Long term the loyalty factor is just not there, so even if she has you to thank for her future 'success', she won't realize or acknowledge it.

After reading other posts, I can see and visualize both sides of the coin...maybe the Libra in me.

Many cats are pro-upgrading their pieces, hopefully this is your bottom (main) chick, while others say to hell with that logic why not upgrade yourself in all the vital aspects of life and force her to up her game through example.

While upgrading your chick materially (wardrobe etc) may bring temporary benefits to the player, if the chick doesn't come with a built in sense of style then this can still be a pain in the ass. I'm reminded of the show that used to run on one of the many cable channels where there is a 30 something, career woman who for convenience, walks around everyday in the most atricous gear. Embarrassing to not only family and friends, but her poor beta husband is afraid to "advise" her on her fashion missteps. Once the "fashion experts" come in to '"fix" her, she displays a TON of resistance only to finally give in. At the conclusion of the show she is paraded out in front of her peers all dolled up, to a choir of cheers and applause. It's at this point that I wonder if the camera's caught up with the reformed fashionista 6 months down the line, if she hasn't reverted back to her sloppy ways.

I tend to want to upgrade with game that differentiates me from the average trick in her mind. Of course, I've "invested" in a LTR, but best believe I'm looking for her to invest in me & herself as well.

That being said, if I bring someone into my inner sanctum I would want them to leave in a better position then when I found them. Not materially necessarily but in 'life game'. Teach a wo(man) to fish...
