Yes, all the apps work well on Android. Android is far more popular in Asia (and the world) than iOS. So any app a girl is going to chat with you in PI will certainly work on a Droid.

I'm based in Cebu (but in Manila right now) and travel around the country frequently with my Google Nexus and it works fairly well with a Globe 999 internet plan (but not like a 4g network in the States). I can't imagine being in this country without a smart phone and mobile internet. Girls love to chat and exchange pics with these apps. It makes getting laid a piece of fucking cake here. lol

Many girls won't have internet on their phones because they can't afford it, so get some regular text loads too.

I love Uber and have probably used it in 4 or 5 other cities.

RE: Living in Manila...
I had forgotten how frustrating it can be chatting up a girl with bad english. I started chatting up a Korean girl who was shopping on High Street and got her to leave the shop with me and head over to Starbucks.

The whole time felt like such a struggle. It just reminded me how much better life is when the girls speak english.

RE: Living in Manila...
I'm grateful to the words of wisdom that directdanger and the swooptheoworld team have shared on the Phils. As such, I want to briefly relay my experience in Manila.

In short, this is truly the notch hound's destination. In 12 hours from landing, I had bedded two girls and could have easily gotten a third if I had better stamina and no jet lag. Quality has been decent with far superior language skills and fewer hookers than in bangkok. The points others have made about managing contacts and dates are valid - it has been that easy.

The formula I've used is not original. Meet girls online (DIA and okcupid) starting a week out, Skype and then follow Fisto's strategy: coffee date, return to hotel to charge my phone, then penetrate. I'm staying in makati - the five star hotels are super cheap by us standards. The Greenbelt has several coffee shops for the initial meet and the hotel is so close by that the logistics are air tight.

DD - sorry to hijack your thread. Keep up the good work.

I am curious to see how you guys do at the clubs where the locals hang out. And whether this kind of success can be done outside of this sloots on DIA. We are talking about straight night life game, with light skinned chicks. Seems like dark skin chicks are easy everywhere in asia. I feel like these sluts on DIA fuck so many guys based off these stories, wouldnt surprise me if the same girl has fucked multiple members here.

I was here for less then a day for a visa run. Fucked a real 7. But not familiar. Thats why I asked. Considering everyone here is just rehashing using online game.

Need real info on quality chicks and how easy or not easy to bang via makati nightlife.

The airport is the worst airport I have ever been to. That includes 3rd world countries in Central America.

If you think I am a troll, you clearly don't live in Taipei. Advice on best clubs and nightlife areas to get asian 6's and 7's with relative ease would be appreciated.

This thread isn't even about Taiwan - nor have I ever been there - so not really sure where you're going with this...

And for the record, it's possible to give accurate information and still be a troll.

Getting 6 and 7 light skinned girls with relative ease is possible at RCA in Bangkok with some decent looks, style, fitness and game. Though, those four requirements themselves kind of blow the whole "relative ease" part out of the equation since 95% of guys can't put those four things together.

Point is Ive met quite a few guys on the forum, myself included, who can do well with 6 and 7s with light skin from night game. Though they are obviously much harder than dark skinned chicks, and definitely not as easy as online chicks who are actively seeking white cock on a website specifically designed for that reason.

I think most dudes on the forum will stay in sea for short trips, so their success with light skinned girls will be minimal. Especially considering the time it takes to learn the differences in gaming chicks in sea compared to home. Most guys also won't give a shit about light skinned girls unless they've been in country long enough to understand why the light skinned chicks are desirable. Most of us are not ABCs so we don't give a shit about the Asian disdain for tan women. We dont have that that cultural hangup.

Combine all that with the ease/aggressiveness of darker and online chicks, and most white guys on short trips are going to have limited success with light skinned girls. Ans I bet most of them won't be the least bit upset about it. Dark skinned chicks can still be 6s and 7s to us white guys. Personally, I don't care what Thai guys would stick their dicks in since half of them in Bkk also stick their dicks in other dudes.

I see TaipeiHighLife got banned.

He had some great information to add to the forum, in my opinion. It would have been interesting to see an ABC-datasheet on Taipei.

But he had such a huge chip on his shoulder and kept insulting everyone.

Why won't some people understand that we're a team here at RVF? Grouphug

Keep on trucking, Team Asia.

Hey DD, great post.

Was curious, how bad the internet really is, I too rely heavily on stable/fast internet for work when I travel. You mentioned paying extra for 10mb, is this the fastest there is in Manila, which company did you use? Realistically, how bad is the disconnection problem? Do the outages last long? I vpn into my work, and need at minimum a 5mb connection or else I wouldn't be able to work.

In comparison to cities like BKK or Ho Chi Minh city, would you say the internet is faster more stable in these places?

Also, out of all the countries in Asia you have lived, which is your favorite?

Thanks.

I'm not familiar with the Internet speed in Manila but in regards to BKK, it is very fast. As a matter of fact, it was faster than any Internet I got in Canada...

Wink RE: Living in Manila...
The following is from my upcoming fiction novel. Any similarity to real persons or events is purely coincidental.

tl;dr: I'm going to Phils to find a 30+ years younger hot LTR chick, hope I don't get killed by rebels in Zamboanga.

Gearing up for a Manila Trip. Some potentially useful info already apparent. I'm about 55 look decent but will not be banging top models of Manila . MY perception is I've aged out of the better sub-25YO chicks in Ukraine, they're looking for West Euro YoungTallCool even if it's not that realistic. Thanks Facebook/Internet, even Phils chicks are upping their standards significantly, mentioning early 40s as max age even if they are deep in the fucking jungle, like some 37 YO millionaire is going to search them out. But if they're hot I might.

-Used DIA and FC for pipelining, since Date In Asia is free they don't seem to police things very much. Most chicks only repond once however

-- some pretty significant per cent of chicks are using internet cafes which is good. Once everyone in Ukraine started with broadband, their standards went up like crazy.

--on FC, there are a lot of scammers, I wasted significant time chatting before they asked for money. They build up to the request slow, mentioning the problems about being out of work etc. The thing is, some non-scammers do have real financial problems and don't have the middle-class manners not to mention them. Anyone who asked for money I blocked immediately but the time is gone. After a while I put on my profile "I never send money" and got banned soon after. After a while when I liked a girl and they mentioned financial problems I would say "I know you won't do this, but a lot of women ask for money and it ruins everything." Don't know if this was a good idea, just might make them run a longer con.

-- FC also keeps changing your search preferences to what they think is "age appropriate" when you create new searches.

-- I foolishly reported a couple money-askers to the complaint page and got banned, no explanation.

-- I dealt with real guilt when I got banned. For about ten minutes. Then I realized the world is a cock-block, no one wants you to get rich, paint a masterpiece which makes you and not them famous, get laid with models, or marry a chick over 30 years younger. Hatred can be a sign you're getting somewhere; just do risk management regarding the access haters have to you. That's why I'm not protesting the charges from FC. Who knows what shit that could trigger with immigration, goons in Manila etc. Also I might have gotten banned by an organizer of money scammers or one scammer ( it could be quite lucrative and they style of the scammers was quite consistent) who were retaliating. Probably just the number of messages I sent.

-- I obsessively messaged hundreds of the hottest chicks before they banned me. There is for all practical purposes no end to 18-26 6-7s in the Philippines-Luckily I started to try to get cell numbers first or second chat , because there were hundreds of older/unattractive women writing and I needed to screen like an Ivy League University. Most of the women writing me were over 32 or so and not at all attractive. Luckily you can use a a mail filter to screen women who don't meet your criteria. I'd rather live here in USA alone than with an older chick.

-- There are a lot of girls whose photo and profiles look good but are maybe 4'7" to 4'10" which may be outside your preferences, especially if you want kids.

-- Since I'm looking for a LTR I'm targeting a slightly different population than many guys here. I want to find girls that keep writing, remember me, and aren't fucking everything that moves, but rather have been pumped-and-dumped and are actively guarding against that. So Im starting early and trying to get at least a few regular phone chats in before I arrive on the ground so they know I'm for real and I know they're not total flakes. Hey, I don't mind getting Fisto's leftovers as long as he didn't give them VD ( Just joking, I have no knowledge that Fisto has any diseases) .

-- I think some of the hotter less spoiled girls may come from the provinces ( "boondocks" in English) so I'm wondering about a tour of cities, in particular I think Zamboanga is the most distant, fucked up with a lot of Muslims, and cagayan the next. With risk comes opportunity. I'm wondering if a tour of Manila, Cebu, Davao might be enough. I just want a very young over-18 cute chick who'll fuck, keep house, and not bite my head off like an Americunt for being a man.

-- logistic needs include ( I'll look through the posts as well, please don't blast me as I'm thinking out loud)
(1) Is a galaxy mini android sub-optimal? I think it's 3G max.
(2) Best hotel in Manila for under 70-80 USD per night
(3) One thing I'm worried about is how do you screen for women that have kids and lie about it? I know this has happened. Maybe getting her to go on 5-day strips
might be a good screen.
(4) Can you pay to fly a chick to Manila without giving her the money? (directly pay the airline) I know, big chance she'll no show but that might be better than paying to go to someplace like Zamboanga. Shit, just the name scares me. We're talking jungle-living true believers who think Allah is real.

RE: Living in Manila...
Iknowexactly,
You are over thinking this my friend. Don't stress it out! Just get there to the Phils, get into the right circles, that is join the local book, theatre, cooking clubs where you will be meeting the higher middle class to upper class of filipinas. Also, start frequenting the American Chamber of Commerce, attend their events and before long, you will be meeting the kind of women that you truly desire: hot, beautiful, smart yet feminine and uber sweet that the Pinays are famous for the world over.

Don't get hitched by the first hot piece of ass that you bang! Specially if she's poor. Remember, in the Phils, white guys, specially the older ones are THE prize that they are all dreaming and fighting for. It's as a draconian difference with Murca as you will ever experience anywhere on this planet!

Regarding what these girls are writing in their online profiles about age preferences, as well know, don't pay attention to what a woman says, but to what she does. Even if a girl states in her profile that she only wants say guys between 25-35, who cares, message her and get her to video chat with you asap. Then you can work your charms and she will forget about her age requirements in no time.

When are you planning on getting there? and for how long? Let me warn you tough, once you get there, you will be swimming in young, hot, sexy and sweet feminine pussy like you can't imagine. So don't over think things or stress it out too much now. Just get there and you will understand what I mean.

Just get there and you will understand what I mean.

First trip starts in 6 weeks and I will be there for about 25 days, just to feel it out, get laid a few times.

Then if I like it I will come back, save up some more money, and leave America for the medium term, maybe 6 months to a year.

+1 on how different they are from Americans already. I have 18 year olds thanking me for my time after chatting. Unimaginable here.

By the way, my similar mid-fifties peer just had his second child in Thailand. His first, in the USA, was abducted by his GF when the child was three. He left them in a mall to go get ice cream cones and when he came back they were gone. She then married and illegally changed the kid's name so that he couldn't find them and he didn't see their child for 12 years. Then she eventually found him and successfully sued him for back child support for tens of thousands of dollars and won. He then lost his passport for owing more than the limit. If a rich relative hadn't bailed him out he would still be trapped in America.

In Thailand, his baby's mother knows that one man is the only person on her child's side in the world, and if she alienates him and he splits she faces abject poverty.

Very old and very wise expat saying:
"Keep them there and keep them hungry."

I don't take the hungry literally, I just think you have to draw the line at large screen TVs.

Its funny that you wrote "boondocks" in English because the word boondocks actually originates from the Tagolog language, probably the only Tagolog word that English speakers are familiar with. http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/boondocks

Also, IKE I don't think that you have to risk your life by going to Zamboanga if finding a cute, young Filipina girl is your main concern. A friend of mine is 62 and his wife, who he met ten years ago when she was 16, live in Canada now and they spend 3-4 months each winter back there. If I remember correctly, you have a California ID don't you?

Yes, I forgot, Calif ID makes all of this sort of a layup.

RE: Living in Manila...
IKE, I think you will find that in some ways your expectations will be exceeded. In that you could easily find yourself a very sweet girl in her twenties once you go to the Phils. But you should be careful...she may or may not be what she seems. I would recommend spending an initial 6 months living there with the aim of dating lots of girls. It will take that long to get the lay of the land enough to find a long term partner. And you won't have to go to Zamboanga or some tiny village to find her. I haven't been there, but Davao seems excellent and despite it being written about all the time on this forum it is NOT overrun with foreigners. There is basically no mass tourism there, and little "sex tourism".

I have made FC accounts and tested the differences in responsiveness in different cities, you will do fine on Davao. CdO would be a good option if you want to take the road less travelled. Remember that most girls who have accounts on these sites, unless they live in Manila or Cebu, rarely meet foreigners or date them in the flesh. They are looking for husbands/sponsors and willing to play the long game. Turning up on the ground puts you in a totally different category. You can pipeline if you like but you won't know what you are really getting whereas if you are there you can sort out the motivations of the women much more quickly.

I can comment on this from the business side, but I'm not sure if business packages are available to residential customers. The largest provider is PLDT and their business packages are pretty reliable. The only big slowdown I'm aware of was a typhoon a couple years ago that resulted in an undersea cable cut between the Philippines and Taiwan. Service didn't go down, but it was just slower than usual because of the loss of one of the links to the outside world.

Don't worry too much about the mbps side of things. Your bottleneck will be on the pipes leaving the Philippines, not on the one from your computer to the provider. Ping times from Manila to US east coast are 120-160ms as I recall, and VPN connections stay up reliably.

RE: Living in Manila...
IKE, if you did a tour of the Cebu area, I think you'd do well. I wasn't a huge fan of the city of Cebu but I've been up and down the east coast of the island (Malapascua to Oslob) and to neighbouring islands such as Bohol and Negros Oriental. Cebu is basically a pussy goldmine due to its size and you have lots of nicer, more relaxed places within short driving distances or quick ferry rides, I could definitely see a guy renting a nice condo in the city of Cebu for 1-2 months and taking short day trips or 1-3 days trips around the area. I liked Dumaguete a lot and have wrote about it quite a bit on here, a smaller city of about 100K with a student population comprised of 30%, a lot who are away from home studying, so away from family. I think as a an older foreign guy in the Philippines, you're still going to find plenty of opportunity to date some nice, younger Filipinas without having to go to the dodgier parts of the country, which as you know, can be pretty dangerous at times.

God damned them all, I was told we'd cruise the seas for American gold, we'd fire no guns-shed no tears, now I'm a broken man on a Halifax pier, the last of Barrett's privateers!

RE: Living in Manila...
The biggest problem is stability. I have the "up to" 10mbps on Sky Cable that I pay close to $90 a month for. I average at least 1 disconnection every day and sometimes have as many as 2 or 3. They can last anywhere from 1 minute to 20 minutes.

If you are an online poker player, day trader, or anything that really needs a steady connection you need to be cautious. If a connection randomly going down a few minutes is not a big deal for you then it shouldn't be a problem. I have noticed that my video conferencing calls have had trouble the last few weeks with its connections. I have had to resort to just audio calls sometimes.

From all my research the best connection you can get is FIBER from PLDT. It is going to cost a lot and is only available in select areas of Makati and the Fort. Second best choice is DSL by PLDT.

I went with Sky Cable for 2 reasons.
- 1 is it was already installed in my Condo and they could get me hooked up in a few days. PLDT would have to be installed and take at least 1 month.
- 2 Sky Cable allowed for an upgrade to 10 mbps with only a 6 month contract. PLDT required a 1 year.

I would say the internet is good enough that almost anyone who works online can get by here. Just be prepared for frustrations.

Bangkok Internet was faster and more stable than here in Manila.

- Internet sucks and is expensive. With some effort and living in the right areas of the city you can find decent connections but it is a challenge. Expect to have disconnections daily. LTE/3G sucks as well.

Thanks.

Quote:(1) Is a galaxy mini android sub-optimal? I think it's 3G max.

Get a better phone. You will be using it all the time.

Quote:(2) Best hotel in Manila for under 70-80 USD per night

Figure out which mall you want to be near. Get a hotel within 5 minutes walk.

Quote:(3) One thing I'm worried about is how do you screen for women that have kids and lie about it? I know this has happened. Maybe getting her to go on 5-day strips
might be a good screen.

I feel like most girls are going to tell the truth about this. It is hard to hide for long. Maybe I am naive. I would not stress about it unless there are obvious signs she is hiding something.

Quote:(4) Can you pay to fly a chick to Manila without giving her the money? (directly pay the airline) I know, big chance she'll no show but that might be better than paying to go to someplace like Zamboanga. Shit, just the name scares me. We're talking jungle-living true believers who think Allah is real.

Yes you can buy a ticket in a girls name. Bad idea. Don't do it.
