One thing I've noticed on PoF so far is that if a girl has skanky or "hot" pictures i.e. lots of cleavage or lots of skin in general, she's very unlikely to respond. I've just stopped bothering with these type all together, Im curious if anyone else has had this issue. Are they just attention whores or am I going about it the wrong way?

They respond, just not to the types of messages you are sending (or guys of your caliber). There's also the possibility that it's a fake account.

I find that they approach me more than me having to do any work with them. I have a couple shirtless pics up and ones my profile pic and as my caption with it I wrote I know the shirtless shots a classic douchebag move but my mailbox is full... you can't argue with the results. That caption has gotten me over 3/4s of the responses from those types. Some will say I can see why it works, some will start defending why they use a bikini pic or whatever and correlate it to my shots and on and on. In general I've found them to be the easiest group, well the fatties are the easiest they just mass email every guy hoping I think. The ones that are tough are the ones that take themselves way too seriously, the ones that profile reads like a resume, Im going to this college and im going to do this and I need someone who has this, I haven't tried too hard with them but they see the profile pic and that I dont take my profile too seriously and they'll write me off. The couple I tried both said that I'm the type of guy who doesn't fit into their long term vision lol, I need to make another profile where im suited up to work those girls I think.

It seems that the more attractive the girl the more necessary it is to have a GOOD shirtless shot that shows off that you're above average. My shirtless pic is about a month old now, and I know I've gotten more muscle since, might be in my interest to take a new one.

What does "does not respond" mean? Did she check your profile, or she just ignored her message? If she ignored your message, the problem may be with the message. If she checked your profile, then it is less clear. Maybe your profile is a problem. Or your pictures. Or - much more likely - there are no problems at all, she just wasn't in the mood. That's the difference between online and real world. It is easier to approach, but it is also easier to ignore. In real world it is harder to approach, but very difficult/impossible to ignore - at least here in the USA it seem to be not socially acceptable, she must clearly reject you instead.

BTW, you do know that at least 10% of the "girls" you send your message to are dudes fishing for good lines, and then reusing them on girls?

This is pretty much it. These "higher quality" girls are much more shallow and picky than the rest. They want to know you have a great body, not just in-shape.

I used to monitor the "sent message" status on POF like a hawk a few months ago, but since being enlightened I've yet to check. I honestly dont give a shit if they respond.

I guess what Im curious about is why what works on most other girls seems to not phase these girls. My profile, pics, and messages work a good deal of the time, yet when I go for the upper echelon it just falls through.

The girls I"m talking about are the kind that are almost "too good looking" and really stand out of the lineup of faces on the dating sites.


@Gmac I've accepted that if these girls are real, they are looking for some guy with a six pack, and thats just not me, though I guarantee if they saw me when I was out and about they'd be all over me, its a shame that you can be a skinny dude with a six pack and be considered "in better shape" then the guy who's got much more muscle but lacks that abdominal definition.

1. Does the match score impact your decision to contact a girl? Do you find your self more successful with girls with high match score (80% or higher)? Also, is there a way to answer questions so that your score will match more girls?
2. When exchanging emails, do you find yourself more successful when you answer emails the same day you get them or the next day?
3. On average are you more successful with going for the date by the second or third emails?
4. Once you have the girls number do you text or call?

1. No, but it can help. Answering more questions improves your matches with more girls (a good thing) and gives you the opportunity to read their answers, check compatibility (i.e. more sex driven chicks).
2. It doesn't usually matter, but I like to answer emails on Sundays (prime time for women online) or early in the week to solidify those dates as fast as possible. 9 times out of 10 you won't set up a first date on a Friday or Saturday, so you need to think logistics. I email similarly the way I text, with rules. If she emailed me, I wait at least 30 minutes to respond. If she sent it on a Friday (or Saturday), I wait until Saturday (or Sunday) morning. It honestly doesn't matter that much, but because some of these girls only log on a few times a week to check their mail it's best to catch them while they're still online so you can either a) open IM/chat dialogue or b) get enough dialogue going so you can lock in the date.

Again, this depends on the context of her response. It's your job to keep her interested enough to ask you questions or write back. Sometimes that means getting creative, sometimes it means using a second scripted response. Often I'll mix old material that has worked with something from her profile. But yeah, three of the girls I've met and banged in the last month I met online. If your dating game is tight this is a great way to meet a lot of girls that are DTF.

I dont think about this to hard, what I do do is if I'm at work/out and I get the email that I have a message I'll pull up the site on my phone and read it, that way its marked as read, and they'll see it. This'll give them the "is he going to respond" mentality

I usually wait till the fifth volley (your third message considering you sent the 1s, 3rd, 5th) or seventh, from my experience if you try before the 5th she'll give you the "to fast" bull shit if you wait till after the 7th you'll get pushed into the back of her inbox by the next guy

I try to bait this by fishing the info out of her if she's more into texting or phone chatting. I agree with Roosh's point of view on text vs phone, texting takes longer, usually, but it gives you less of an opportunity to do or say something that'll turn her off.

This may be an extra selling point, but never the main one. If she doesn't like your picture/stats, it wouldn't matter to her that you're 95% match.

Hey Gents,

Sorry, this isnt really related to the discussion at hand - I just uploaded a profile on a Danish dating site where the quality is so-so. Roughly 500,000 users, probably only a fraction of those are active.

In my age group, EVEN less since most people in Denmark at this age probably don't have time for this crap. I'm there laying the ground work for my imminent return home - wanna set up some dates.

I uploaded ONE decent picture of myself and five sentances that I figured might cater to the Beta loving Danish girls. I've SKYROCKETED in 3 days to one of the most popular profiles for my age group in there.

The results:

So I finally found one girl off the net who is not batshit crazy and not a fugly, so I'm going to handle her properly. But I agree with everyone else... what a LOW return on effort, especially for a city like CPH.

Like I've mentioned in my previous posts, go for the date after the first or second response. Do you want a pen pal? No. TELL her to meet you for drinks at X spot at Y time.

She'll suggest an alternative if she wants to go and can't do it then. Less time, more pussy.

In the past 6 weeks I've banged 4 girls from OKC alone. You just need to be bold as if you would in person. If she's not interested, stop wasting time. You can only build so much attraction over email, which is why I always (almost) lock in the date by the 2nd message.
