The writer was getting tossed around in the comments a bit. I couldn't finish reading after the part about rationalizing how she had 2 dudes sperm in her cooch. "Maybe one was consensual and the other wasn't".

Good for him. He was lucky that he was a star athlete at a big D-1 school. Consider the case of Brian Banks, a standout high school football player, who was falsely accused after consensual sex. He got shitty representation and pled guilty to a rape he never committed.

Oh, and his accuser was a black woman (Banks is also black), so this kind of situation knows no racial boundaries (e.g., Duke lacrosse team).

The idea feminists promote that false rape rarely occurs is laughable. Think of all the well publicized rape cases in the last 10-20 years. Most of them have been false rape accusations.

Apparently I don't read enough blogs (or comments) to have heard this gem before, perhaps you have: "You should change your click bait headline".

Blogs are no different than 24 hour cable news. It's all about eyeballs and ratings. I seriously doubt that the person who wrote this isn't completely aware of their sensationalizing.

In fact, reading the history of the Jezebel site, it seems it was created with the same money grubbing marketing stunt strategy as Fox News and MSNBC. There never was any journalistic intent, just pandering infotainment noise to attract eyeballs and cash.

She's setting herself up for failure. Being a professional victim is no way to live your life. She's never going to win any money without a conviction, so why not just take the loss and walk away? Trying to ruin this kid's reputation will only ruin her own.

The accused should have the legal option after being found not guilty (not on the balance, but beyond all reasonable doubt, such as here) to immediately open civil proceedings against the accuser for libel.

The only drawback is real rape cases may not come forward, but it may be the only way to return the favor to the person who intentionally ruined a man's life with false accusations.

I'm surprised more falsely accused men don't do that. A civil suit would be my first priority if I was in that situation.

Winston just got the Davey O'Brien Award as well as the nation's top QB. The comp was stiff, with Manziel (last year's winner) and AJ McCarron (2 national championships) as the other finalists.

Edit: AJ McCarron won the Maxwell Award, as the Player of the Year in college football. He won't be playing for the National Title again this year (due to that crazy "Kick Six" at the end of the Auburn game), but he's being rewarded for his career as a whole. These awards are usually split, so I have no problem with McCarron getting the honor. I think 6 of the last 7 O'Brien Award winners have gone on to win the Heisman, so Winston is the odds-on pick to win it. Pretty amazing for a freshman.
