Its interesting you viewed the speed in Montreal to be quite slow. I find it with Canadian-French girls to be the exact opposite. I'll try and explain.

I find American swagger does not go far in Montreal and Quebec vs other places in Canada. Americans are to tame (socially) and don't approach the different culture of Montreal correctly. When I say to tame socially a analogy I would use is that when I party in America on a Saturday night it feels like a Wednesday night in Canada. Little things like not opening every broad in French, and being to tame with booze project a different vibe to the French-Canadians. I find when I take things slow with Canadian-French girls is when I get no ass. Real talk. I tried to take one out in the summer for drinks and shit and she left me with blue balls each time. Contrast this to the female I will go into about down below, whom I knew for a total of 20 min and banged her on her friends bed at a party her friend had after the bar.

Canadian-French women crave sex so its really a matter of ramping up the speed of things energy wise to get your desired outcome - French women in Canada are whores to put in frankly - the most outrageous and fucked up women I have ever had sex with in my life have all been French.

The girl I was alluding to above...here is the backstory: We were talking in the hallway after I came out of the bathroom. I literately in mid-sentence just shoved her into a empty bedroom started making out with her, we started ripping of each others clothes, and then I proceeding to fuck her. I knew her for a total of 15-20mins maybe prior but I could gauge the energy she was giving off and just went for it. No resistance at all, she even said she was waiting for me to kiss her out there... even though I knew her for 20mins. She was projecting a vibe and I knew that I had to match & exceed it, or get nothing at all - its all or nothing game.

Another example is my old jump off from a few years back we would fuck in the next room beside her parents (after a while we had to move downstairs since we were always to loud haha) and she would walk to the washroom after butt naked to freshen up, her father ran into her once when this happened and neither gave a shit. Her mother would tell her in French she thought I was handsome and cute, asked once if I had a "nice strong penis", or to tell her not to make so much noise if she was going to be "having fun time tonight", all in French of course as it was what they spoke at home. I never understood what they hell they would say but she would translate for me and I would just laugh. This is a very liberal attitude they have to sex... but you have to match it or even exceed it. I swear they can smell it on a dude and they will go sniff around some where else if they can't get that strong enough vibe for attraction.

I hope you are finding Canada to be a pleasant place Roosh. In Toronto the quality will drop, and the women will be less friendly but you will probably be able to gauge and plough through things a lot more easy. Plus being an American will have a lot more sway as Toronto as the rest of Canada (outside of Quebec) have a muted fetishism for America and all things American.

Well I'm pretty aggressive/fast with my game so I doubt that's the problem. My sample size is also small (one weekend) so I don't want to make any grand conclusions. It just wasn't as easy off the plane as the US or Scandinavia.

I can't say being American helped. They see the French culture as superior, so I felt it was more a hurdle (that I easily overcame) than a benefit.

I'm liking Canada overall, but it's very expensive. I feel I'm not getting much value for what I'm spending.

That's the worst part about travelling in Canada, everything is more expensive than the USA and its not just in the bigger cities like Montreal. Its one of the main reasons why I'd rather fly to a city in the states to visit than one in my own country.

Flights, booze, hotels car rentals, etc. the only cheaper thing up here is high quality weed, so I guess its not all that bad.

I was in Montreal last Wednesday and just wanted to provide a data point. In no way do I wish to claim to be a sudden expert on the city.
I didn't get anywhere besides long conversations, but I thought I would share what I saw.

I stayed in a hotel room near St. Laurent.

Here's what I observed:

St. Laurent is DEAD during the week.

I was absolutely stunned at how quiet it was at 8PM on a Wed night.
I figured there would at least be happy hours. There was absolutely
nothing going on. I couldn't tell where the clubs were since
everything was so quiet and my data plan didn't work in Canada.
Roosh is correct in saying that St. Laurent is
strictly weekends only. I have been there on weekends in the past
and had a great time.

Rosalie's

Given my experience on St. Laurent, you should probably do your homework beforehand to find out where the hot spot is on weekday nights.
Given the disaster that St. Laurent turned out to be, I quickly
took a cab to Rosalie's which is essentially in the heart of the
Business District. It was mentioned in several parts of the thread
as the place to go on Wednesday night.

That place was definitely better. It consists of downstairs restaurant with bar and an upstairs night club. The club does not open until 10PM.
While it was quite the sausage fest, I was surprised to find that the women were pretty easy to talk to if you got there early. I didn't have to use any difficult openers. Often a question about the situation (what's the trick to the bar? That's an interesting lamp.) was enough.
However, not many girls showed up after midnight. Some did, but they were overwhelmed by a tidal wave of sausage. The place is defeaning at that point. Using game relying on talking started to fail at that point, though I was able to open a 3 set for a little bit and re-open a few girls that I met earlier.

The trick I suspect is to get there very early (say 7PM) and grab
a seat at the bar downstairs. There is almost no room to stand
and you will feel much more in charge and confident with a seat.
There is plenty of turnover so you'll get the chance to open plenty of people and get warmed up.

One VERY annoying thing about Rosalie:
Make sure that if you check your coat before the upstairs opens to grab and take it up with you to recheck it. They close the downstairs around midnight and make you wait outside for it. In most cities, this wouldn't be a big deal, but Montreal is brutally cold even in late November. I have to say that I was really disappointed, given the normally excellent service
that I have always enjoyed in Montreal.

How to dress:

I'm not sure if suiting up is always the right move in Montreal
I went in a black suit with a very light purple dress shirt. 6 people called me out for being out of town. They were really nice about
it, though. Jeans and a sports jacket might be the better choice in some cases.

Women's looks:

Girls in Montreal really do look fantastic by North American standards. I saw 3 fat chicks in 18 hours in the heart of a major North American metropolis. That being said, they don't always have great teeth. The best girl that I opened at Rosalie's had a face that I would absolutely rank above a 9. Body wise I couldn't tell much because it was cold and she was covered up, but I was 95% certain she was slender.
Then she smiled and had teeth that really had not been taken properly care of. It made me feel sad, like seeing a wonderful piece of art graffitied. Still had a good time talking with her. Unfortunately, I didn't get there early enough and she and her friends had been waiting for a table. I could not find her later at the club upstairs.

Women's attitudes:

Wow, they are definitely much more warm and friendly than Toronto-Occupied-Ontario (I'm sure there are great girls from elsewhere in the province, but I've had a hard time finding them) and DC. While I suspect
one still needs game in Montreal, it probably won't feel like a miserable grind, where one can be a fun alpha instead of an asshole alpha to enjoy success.

French:
I never needed it, but I suspect lack of it may cost you an occasional approach. However, French Montrealers are not Parisians. One guy thanked me for using my terrible American high school French.

Where to stay:
Get a place to stay between St. Laurent and Crescent. That way you've got your bases covered.

Expense:
While one can still find good deals on hotel rooms, eating out in Montreal
is very expensive. The prices are comparable to much of Lower Manhattan. However, the food and local Quebec beers (NOT MOLSON OR LABATT) are excellent.
Flying there is a between $350 to $400 round trip from DC. They have a really nice bus that takes you down called the 747 bus that's C$8 and runs reasonably frequently.
Definitely worth it since the cab will sit in traffic just the same as the bus.

Nightclub Artwork:

Normally, I could not care less about the interior of a nightclub but Montreal is different. They actually do get real artists to make fantastic art in their clubs. They are often worth seeing just for the artwork alone. I actually spent 15 minutes just walking around Rosalie's looking at their art.

CONCLUSION:

If you want a taste of what's possible if you leave English North America and Non-Latin Northwest Europe but just don't have the time or resources to make it to Eastern Europe or Latin America, Montreal provides an excellent weekend trip to at least take a peak at what it's like when women enjoy making themselves feminine and attractive to men. When you meet women like that, it feels like you are dealing with a different species.

I tried a new bar yesterday. Basically they closed the Ballroom on St-Laurent and opened a bar called l'Appartement 200.

Good on thursday nights, the quality of girls was insanely high (young crowd from university though) but barely dressed up, some nice dresses, skirts... not a bad bar in term of logistics.

Honestly I don't think it's gonna last, the crowd seemed too clickey for me, and it seemed to me it because it was a new bar all beautiful girls were eager to try it on the same night but I think it's gonna go back to a more normal student or hipsterish crowd in the future it has more a lounge vibe (with old school arcades everywhere) but I swear the girls were top quality last night, might be a good place to pre-drink before going out for real. Don't judge on the pictures the ratio was really high and the girls of much better quality.

I've in Montreal now, been here for a couple of weeks.

I have nothing to offer on nightlife, my only night out alone was on Bishop Street at McKibben's and the Irish Embassy pubs, where I did not see many opportunities for a man of my age - 57, or any age for that matter, since everyone was in tight mixed groups.

I've been keeping company with a divorced Filipina who's sweet, an online connection, so not really on the hunt.

My observations - don't confine yourself to St. Catherine/Crescent/St. Laurent - go north in the city to Blvd Mont Royal, Laurier, up St Hubert for both day and night game.

Sounds about right.

This matches my experience (6 month + now) with Montreal and how it is not as "easy" as it is often hyped.

3 people x 3 nights = 9 nights = 1 swoop.

You can do better than that there, be swooping 1 of 2 or 1 of three nights there is pretty unattainable in my humble opinion.

One random data point which may or may not be helpful, which I've observed many times over the last few years (lived in Montreal about four years now, but moving soon): Being American is generally not doing you any favors with the Francophone crowd. You may have more luck with Anglophone girls, but there isn't a huge amount of nightlife in the more Anglo areas (Westmount and west island in general) so it can be hard to be selective here.

I would say that being "American" isn't really any advantage in Montreal, Anglophone or Francophone.

Too many dorky Americans have been going there for years.

In time I have spent there I have actually improved Montrealers impression of Americans. The US Gov should cut me a check for all the goodwill I have done for Americans there.

I'm going to parrot some of my Q's from the other thread.

*Where in town would you stay for the absolutely best logistics? We are talking down to the exact block here, even building if you can get into such detail. Hen mentions Old Port/Downtown which looks hot. On the surface I was more taken by the cobblestones of Ville-Marie and I figured being closer to McGill in Griffintown could be a plus. But I'll go with what you guys recommend for someone who needs that classy pad to sleep well at night.

*Reading the thread there seems to be a divide on whether the city is always rocking or slow on weekdays. St Laurent is specifically picked out as dead in the weeks. Hotel bars will always have a crowd but maybe not by hot young things.

*It would appear as if there's even less need for a car in the smaller Montreal?

I'm looking at AirBNB and seriously, it's like half the apartments available in Montreal are lofts??

You will want to stay near the main streets so you can move from spot to spot with ease. So stay near University, Sherbrooke, St Laurent, Ottawa for quick access to locations.

Square Victoria, St-Paul, Notre-Dame (before Guy Street), Peel Street above Sherbrooke are all slick spots with good nightlife down below.

Depends on what day and where you are. A spot can be jammed on Monday and on Tuesday-Thursday dead. Let me know your style and I can name some spots.

Take taxi or metro unless you have a GPS the city can be a bit unorganized. Unless wasted and obvious, drinking and driving is more frowned upon than illegal.

That changes everything. City goes in free for all. My advice pick two spots and stick with them.

Drummond and again Peel (on top of Sherbrooke)

MmBrgr (sit bar), then Wanda's finally Cavalli (stay near the kitchen entrance on the right side at bar) is a top trio all within walking distance of each other for maximum Grand Prix potential.

Driver's are going to be at Cavalli's, Buonanotte along with all the top tier ladies.

I would even recommend moving during the course of your trip.

This on weekdays: Square Victoria, St-Paul, Notre-Dame (before Guy Street).

Peel Street above Sherbrooke are all slick spots with good nightlife down below.

This on weekends (Fri/Sat): Saint-Laurent.

For the weekdays, Square V, St-Paul, Notre-Dame will put you in a good situation for Old Port and Downtown hotel bars. You can pretty much walk this area with no problem.

Peel Street above Sherbrooke will put you near McGill but also near some stand alone clubs. You're also near Crescent Street which is the English-speaking side full of bars and clubs. During the daytime a lot of shops are busy along St-Katherine if you want to do a little day game.

For weekends: Nothing beats St. Laurent IMO. That's where the most talent is.

One area you'd be neglecting is the Mt. Royal area (Rue Rachel, St. Denis) but that's more hipster than anything else. Probably not your scene.

OKC is indeed deserted for Montreal and far from ideal in Toronto. Canadians tend to look on skeptically in respect to online dating. I don't have one friend male or female who has admitted to using it. If in doubt during the week, go to Gerts (McGill student bar) for easy action and approaches but DO NOT suit up. T shirt and blazer is my preferred combo in Montreal.
