I'm really surprised that this hasn't been covered in more detail. Even those dudes in the PUA videos should be teaching this instead of that witch doctor crap. The PUA's are setting up guys for certain doom. Cold approaching on the street is suicide. What do you do when someone just comes up outta nowhere and starts talking? You go on the defensive. Women are 10x more defensive, and the bitch shields are gonna be automatic. Like Emech said, it's an uphill battle of monumental proportions, like Iwo Jima. Don't spend your days fighting that hard. There are much easier ways.

The enemy is best conquered from within. A full frontal assault will wear down you down fast. Low and slow. A chance encounter puts you under the radar, and lets you erode her defenses so much easier.

For us seasoned vets, it's just shit we learned as time progressed. Like sitting near the girls bathroom in a club, or timing what line to get in in the grocery store.

Go skim through Pua Hate. When these guys talk about how the community fucked up their lives, I believe it. I don't care how alpha you are, getting blown out hard is gonna wear heavy on your self-confidence/esteem. I wouldn't want to approach any chick after 5 ran away down the street. Shit sucks.

Indirect is less evasive, and if a chicks not interested, she'll let you know without dropping a mushroom cloud.

This is interesting topic. PUA bootcamps and teachers teach and advocate direct approach mostly. They say, practice, practice, practice to improve. They say if you approached below 500, you are beginner.

In order to improve, practice is important like in every field, dance, basketball etc. However, if you approach indirectly your numbers will be lower compared to the person who approach direct.

For example, you are in grocery store, you wait the girl to come, and arrange yourself and make the approach. In order to approach at perfect time, you have to wait 5-10 minutes. If you did direct, you could finish approach and make another one.

Also, in direct approach, puas go to city center and approach 3 girls in 1 hour if its crowded area. In crowded city center, or on street, indirect is hard way to talk to girls. If you follow indirect style, you have to go to coffee shop, grocery stores etc. and wait for the perfect time to come. In addition you cant approach more than once at the same store, because all security, personel etc. around you. In street, you are free and nobody hears, approach as many as you want.

To sum up, if you follow indirect way in a month you could make 30 approach while if you followed you could make 100 maybe.

My question is to daygame vets.. how do you compensate downsides of indirect way in order to use time more efficient and improve faster.

I started doing direct approaches more recently. Yesterday I see an 8 or 9 wearing daisy duke shorts and tan smooth legs. Yum.

I walk along side her. She has ear buds in. I look at her a couple times in an obvious way. She looks at me perplexed. I gesture to take her ear buds out. She does and looks annoyed and says what?? I say: I thought you looked cute so I wanted to flirt with you. She cracks up, relaxes, and we have a nice conversation for several blocks.

I like it. I put it right there on the table - I'm sexually attracted. I say it in such a matter of fact nonchalant way, they laugh. That's good. I get the message across, but in a low pressure, playful, fun way.

The key with cold approaches is to make them seem like "chance encounters".

You both just happen to be waiting at the same red light at the same time.
You both just happen to enter the elevator at the same time.
You both happen to be in the same line at the grocery store.
You both just happen to be looking at the same item.
You both just happen to be entering the building at the same time.

Don't just run up to her in the street at say "hey excuse me".

Walk along side her, walk in front of her, talk on your phone and let her hear your voice and vibe, etc.

Make it seem like you don't even notice her. Let her observe you for a few seconds. Then, open a conversation with her.

Make it seem Serendipitious. A chance encounter. A fake chance encounter.

Not neccasarily.

Direct approaches are only slightly faster then indirect appraoches.

I could go direct but then talk to her for 10 minutes.

I could go indirect but the girl doesn't engage and the chat is over in a few minutes.

It all depends on how the conversation goes.

Generally speaking, indirect is a slower process, but, this is not always the case.

Sometimes, my direct appraoches stick and I talk to the girl for 15 minutes or more.

Often times, I use the "Direct-Indirect" style and I have no idea how long the interaction will go.

There is a time for each style. Use all 3 styles as needed.

Basically, by being agressive and approaching more.

Also, go to high traffic areas so you will have hundreds or thousands of targets.

I don't like walking around searching for targets. I want to be surronded by targets so I can use direct, indirect, or the hybrid method.

Personally, I don't think it matters much what style we use. Our game attractiveness will be communicated with any style.

I've been experimenting with direct approaches. Actually, in the post above, I think I got that line from you ("You look cute so I want to flirt with you."). Used it a few times. I'm bound to get blown-out with it or experience an awkward coldness, but so far I got strong positive responses. Sometimes red faces and "you're so sweet" and mostly laughs and "thanks!" and then they are very open for conversations.

But I'm not sure what "Direct-Indirect" means. Could you explain?

And, I don't like to jog up from behind the girl. Just doesn't feel right to me. I try to avoid this as much as possible. I prefer to catch her coming from the opposite direction and stop her face to face or catch her at a "choke-point" like a corner where people are moving in all directions.

I often touch their arm to get their attention.

Approaching outside is hard, girl doesnt know you, and many people want to sell something or are begging money, bitch shields are up. On the other hand, because of the number of girls and free environment, outside is a good field to learn and practice.
