Now I'm getting suspicious that this may be fake.

Girls are very sensitive... the fact that she's leaving all those comments up is very strange. I've been a soldier in many shaming attacks but the girls always delete negative comments on their blogs.

But even in those comments, she's not feeling the support.

Why would she intentionally give herself the reputation as a complete psycho that, at best, should only be sexually considered for breaking dry spells? Surely the meager book sales aren't worth being blacklisted from the dating scene entirely.

I'm now certain it's fake. Reasoning:

1. Her new post is unlike her other ones, and she even had to qualify it in the first sentence: "There are very few times I use this blog as a personal sounding board." She did that to alleviate doubt.

2. Her post was very emotional, meaning she was invested in her case against this man, but when the comments rolled in, she made not a peep. Her Twitter made not a mention of the affair, just a jokey tweet this afternoon: https://twitter.com/quinwoodwardpu/statu...1251787776

When you're a blogger and something goes viral, it's a BIG deal. Twitter is the first place to mention what's going on, especially if you're a "writer". She designed this post to go viral, but froze when it did, because she got scared at the intense criticism.

3. She let the negative comments remain without responding. I've never encountered a girl blogger who lets readers trash her. They are extremely sensitive. The fact that she had a meltdown at a gentle breakup, yet lets 300 negative comments go, is a warning flag.

4. Her behavior doesn't match. Her silence indicates she wants to distance herself from the post, so the logical behavior from that is to delete the post. But she didn't. So she WANTS people to read it and see the attention it is getting.

5. The story is just too perfect. It seems like it was designed for us. It even angered guys here who are usually mild mannered.

For the above reasons, I must conclude it's fake. The only thing that would change my mind is if the man from the story comes through with his side of the story. Since she is a "public figure", there is no doubt he knows of her blog.

My instinct is that she will make a follow up post saying "it was all a joke," probably because her friends and family are encountering it.

It made me suspicious for the same reason, but she's in Public Relations: any publicity is good publicity. It's much harder to get attention for being good at something than being a trainwreck.

Strong Independent Woman + writer + post-breakdown text that most women won't read as irrational because they've all been there + all men are pigs and do women wrong + torrent of abuse by misogynists + viral attention + so brave for leaving the abuse up there = writing for Jezebel within the year.

Miley Cyrus is the perfect example. One creepy, crap performance and now everything she now does is considered 'news' to the extent I'm going to download one of those Apps that block any mention of her ugly, masculine face from my computer.

I am going to go with that this is real. We have to ask ourselves in this whole debacle, cui bono? She does not benefit in anyway from this and might suffer substantially. As a wanna be gossip girl style socialite her reputation is everything. I doubt she would intentionally endanger it. This has to be an accidental product of her extremely narcissistic world view. A memoir at the age of 25? Unless you are a Mozart or a Newton, you havn't done anything at 25 that is worthy of a memoir. Her entire world is her and her only. This is all she talks about, writes about and thinks about. So basically, this bitch is crazy. She might be trolling, but she knows she's trolling, and she's trolling for attention to feed this hypomania thing she has. She may truly believe that any attention is good attention. Maybe she's sitting back and eating up this negative reaction she's seeing online. She has good bones. She looks so fuked up because she is 70lbs more heavy then her real petite frame can handle. She would be hot *IF* she was thin, her face features wise isn't a train wreak she is just a fat cow and a gym would transcend her into a hot broad with a few months of hard work.
