After talking to him about the date he also did a lot of other things that I've read not to do. I guess dinner dates aren't terrible afterwards. Either that or he just has some good game. I guess the point of this thread is to offer up a debate on dinner dates.

I dont think the idea isnt that dinner dates dont work, I think its that there's far better alternatives that can have a better outcome and save you the cash of going out to eat

I never do it. Too expensive, and they try to angle for dinner to shit test you. This just happened. Consider the following txt conversation:

Her: Are u asking me on a date or for a buddies drink?

Me: ive got too many buddies as is, so the former

Her:Nice. I would love to grab dinner. I save just drinks for buddies

Me: Well before you have dinner w me ur invited to have a drink

Her: Sounds great.

Then we made plans and later that night I banged the shit out of her. I think if I had caved for the dinner that she would have felt empowered and strung out the sex thing.

For the price of one dinner (60-80) you can go have drinks with 3 different girls.

Only do places without waiters, like taco shops, burger joints, sandwich delis, hot dog stands, or something like that. Have a few drinks before going. Something quick and cheap and not fancy and formal.

Actual dinner dates, in actual restaurants are just not sexy. It feels to formal and proper. Doesn't awaken their inner slut.

The seating in most places like this can be a little more intimate too, think side by side stools vs a booth with a huge table inbetween you two

I've been "that guy" many times. You know the one-asks his girls out formally to dinner, takes them to a proper restaurant and pays fr the whole thing? Yeah, that's been me. I was raised "traditionally", so "courting" a girl was always a natral process in my mind. It is all I knew to do.

Success rate with this plan of action?
0%. Literally nothing. Until I quit doing this, I never even got to first base.

The last girl I tried to be "proper" with came around last year, and that failed as well. I made a pact with myself then and will stick with it firmly now and in the future: no more dinner dates. Ever.
That was the last American/Western woman who will ever get that type of treatment from me.

I wish I had figured this "no dinner" rule out earlier, as it could have saved me a lot of misery. At 19, I was a little late to the game in learning it. Then again, it could have been(and for many much older American betas, actually is) a lot worse.

It's funny, but I was lucky enough to stumble on this "rule" totally by accident. I remember the exact date with whom I learned it too. This was before I knew anything about "game," beyond whatever instinctual shit you have as a man and whatever I saw other dudes do. But nothing like the stuff we spit on this board. And, of course, I had years of beta programming from just existing in this emasculated-ass country without this deep knowledge.

Like an idiot, I had planned to take this cute, freckled petite thing on a first date to a nice restaurant in a nice neighborhood. But I had her meet me at nearby Starbucks or other chain coffee-shop because of logistics with driving and stuff. But, before long, I realized she'd misunderstood and thought that that was the date: the Starbucks. Since it didn't seem to be a problem, I just rolled with it. I bought her a $2 coffee and hung out with her in the most unsexy, piece-of-shit date spot ever for like 30-45 minutes max before bouncing to a random city street for a walk.

When we ended up in my car, with my finger in her cooch, later that night, I learned a valuable lesson: where we'd gone on the date was irrelevant. Obviously, this is massively elementary shit for us today, but back then, that was a huge revelation.

I think the no-dinner rule stands. Whatever exceptions exist are just that: exceptions. That's my vote.

The problem is that so many girls are used to being taken out on dinner dates and expect it. I've started saying "I just ate" and try to go somewhere with alcohol

Coffee, ice cream, smoothie, something low key and cheap. Roosh made a good point that you dont really see people making out in these places but in the summer months you can "go for a walk" and find a nice quiet bench or hill or something.

I've found dinner dates only work if you venue change to drinks afterwards. It's good because she'll usually buy the drinks since you bought dinner, making her more invested in you. But yeah, I'd have to agree that it's usually not worth it.

I think KB's roommate would've banged this girl regardless. She was probably DTF to begin with. So, basically he could've just saved some money by taking her to a dive bar or ordering a pizza and staying in. I wouldn't change my game based on this observation KB. Unless your roommate does this with a half-dozen different girls in the next month or two, then I'd start seeing what the hell he's doing.

I thought I had an awesome date spot, and I did. But I recently moved, so my old setup wasn't as convenient. I found you only need an isolated park bench, near a coffee or ice cream shop. I'm not a big fan of bars for dates because they're loud, there's implicit sexual competition, and you can't take the drinks with you outside. And making out on a first date in a bar is cheesy. If you're some sort of outsider, she'll feel greater pressure to reject you when surrounded by people.

Isolation is easily HALF of seduction, and once executed makes everything else markedly easier. A good portion of her feminine powers are diminished, when isolated - eg, no men ogling her, bolstering her ego.
