The problem with a lot of the Military is that the bases are in remote locations and there is not much of a selection in those areas especially where Bar-B-Q and cold beer rules. So for many Military Men the choice was limited - its fat Bar B Q queenie or Rosie and her sister Rita LaPalma.

One good thing I can say for the Nuke Sub Service is most of our bases and ports of call were in coastal resort areas and more than a few beach beauty queens and uni hotties were always nearby - Ever eat on a nuclear sub? Bring over a bunch of your hot girl friends for the guys was a real and easy line that actually worked surprisingly well.

Add to that the Chivalrous White Knight Blue Pill ethos of the military in general - hold over from all the Academy cotillions and dress balls with local Ladies colleges and you wind up reading RVF and ROK to shake loose these bad habits (bad to your sanity as a man in a Feminized Developed World).

To give myself a little credit it did not take me too long to realize that an 80% enlisted and 50% Wardroom divorce rate - even Academy grands 50% divorce rate on submarines indicated that USA women could not rationalize being loyal to their men while putting their lives on the line for their country. Absence truly makes the heart grow fonder to ride the cock carousel close at home - sort of disgusted me about US women in general and to this day never married, no alimony, no child support, no baggage and free to take young wing women and mold them to my liking and desires - POF, Match.com and E-Harmony and female "relationship" coaches be damned.

LOL ironically about 50% of young ladies start interviewing for the wing women "position" when I mention it.

Deepdiver is the only one who really got it right here.

Men in the military are trained to follow, to back each other up no matter what, to maintain a structure for the greater good. Men understand and relate to structure and rules. Women don't. Women don't care about the greater good, they care about themselves.

So, the military men end up trying to apply this behaviour that works well in their reality (the structure of the military) and faily miserably. It makes it a paltry task for the women to end up running their men. It's sad.

I cosign what deepdiver said. Marriage left a bad taste in my mouth while serving.

1. Because of the divorce rates, the powers to be started coddling service members and their spouses. Guys became entitled and talked shit until a deployment came up, then played the victim card and weaseled out of it. So the single guy is always on boat or out in the field, and doesn't get the chance to build a relationship if he wanted to.

2. Infidelity was rampant. We called them West Pac Widows. As soon as the boat floats off, the wives strip the wedding bands and troll the bars. One guys wife had 5 Marines living in her apartment, all taking turns on that ass. Another guy would bring his wife to the barracks to drink, pass out, and she'd fuck whoever in another room. Right under his nose.

3. Fucking family day. Instead of going out to chase tail, they'd force us to show up to see all the fat wives waddle around to bullshit events no one cared about. That was all because the dependents wanted it.

4. Most of the command was married, and was whipped. They didn't want to lose 1/2 of their retirement from divorce, and the rules were stacked against them due to the UCMJ. A spouse doesn't follow those rules, but can use it against her husband. Military wives were like a den of snakes. They teach the new girl on the block all the tricks to keep control of her husband.

I was perfectly happy staying single then, as I am now.

I have seen it repeatedly in the military now that that factor is being discussed deeper. Alpha mothefuckers shacking up and knocking up 6's and below, who quickly become unfuckable 4's due to popping out a few kids and blowing up from cheap commissary food and having nothing to do all day but lounge around base housing or complain at the PX about coupons and make facebook posts complaining about various aspects of military base living.

+1 Ali - as I suffer from erectus deflatus disease at the sight of a she pig with fatitude entitlement I will say I never dated anything less than a 7 or better in the service and more than a few 8s and 9s as well - DHV was omni present especially when they visited you aboard the boat and could look out the periscope and climb up to the Conning Tower. Learned through others mistakes that wifeing them up and then going to sea for 9 to 12+ month long patrols was not conducive to a long term successful marriage and a major reason why I did not make it a full 20 year career and took my honorable discharge after 6 years of loyal and honorable service.

Now nuke boats are all being redesigned to accommodate combined male and female crews with separate berthing - will be interesting to see how many knock ups result as these females will likely be naturally attracted to their alpha male peers - there were a handful of sexy women in the service that were not lezzy friends - mostly in the medical and administrative disciplines.

This aligns with the bad idea of an LTR or marriage to a "fixer-upper." While the 5.5-6.5 you find a lot of qualities in that you like, while looks are average at best, chances almost always are they will drop in looks once in a seemingly "stable" committed situation.

Any man with some level of integrity will usually try to some extent "make it work" of they have developed feelings, but the reality that no matter how you slice it, guys are visual and need something nice to look at and stay attracted for the long term anyhow, so why fight it and create a delusional prison to conduct yourself from?

Right now I'm dumping a solid 7 in looks because she just doesn't have the whole package and emotional stability I can handle anymore. I've seen flash forward images of what the future holds, and its not pretty.

It's much easier to go from being alpha among women to alpha among men as well, than the other way around. Once you're alpha among women, the hard part is accomplished.
