So I've been frequenting a bar in my hometown where there's a really cute bartender who always serves me. We flirt quite a bit and she's always giving IOI's and making jokes about us dating and generally very into me when I'm there (yes, I realize some of this could be her doing her job). Anyway, I got her number last week and said I would hit her up when I got back in town yesterday. To be clear, from the time I got her number to the time I texted her was 8 days. I was out of town all week and was in a remote place with no cell reception so that's the best I could do.

So I texted her last night a very casual opener (per Roosh's text game guide)

Me: "Hey _____, it's Klasmatic. How are you?"
Her (less than one minute later): "hey you! I'm good, how are you?"
Me (twenty mins later): "good. you wanna meet up for drinks later this week?"

That's where the conversation ended and that was last night. I'm assuming this one is dead so I haven't said anything else but I'm wondering why she would answer so quickly - less than one minute, in fact - the first time, knowing that I intended to ask her out (I told her this when I got her number) and then not respond at all when I send her the text asking her out.

I suppose the lesson is that flakiness can rear it's head at any given time but this one is a true head scratcher. I have had so much success using the Roosh Text game approach and this girl was as warm a prospect as can be yet I still got ignored.

Anyone have any experience like this one? Fwiw, I had been building rapport and flirting with this girl for about 3 months before I got her number and even my buddies who were drinking with me one night said she was obviously sweating me. Is there any play to be made here or just move on? Im thinking the latter at this point.

Depending where you're at with the girl, you might have to build some emotional connection over text with a few more texts before asking for a date. The girls like to know their desired and they like to get emotionally excited before being asked out, it whets their appetite.

Basically she was asking how are you? whatchu up to? and you ignored her and said lets meet up for drinks. But she was trying to engage you in a little texting banter first and you didnt reciprocate but tried to rush her in to a date. Girls are like capricious unicorns man. lol

I should clarify in that from the time I first met this girl to the time I got her number was about 3 months. I would go into this bar about once per week, but I travel alot and so I would go 3-4 weeks sometimes without seeing her. In those 3 months, she probably waited on me 7 or 8 times and this bar is packed every time im in there so getting good conversation with her is not always possible.

lol good point. I think you may be right about that. don't know if there's anywhere to go with this now. chalk it up as a loss and move on?

nah reengage her in a day or two with a pic of you having fun with friends or a silly meme pic or whatever or just a re-engagement line like "want to go halfzies on a bastard child?"

Don't text to ask for something.
When you call she can fall for you again by hearing your voice and sense of humor that got her all hot and bothered in the 1st place.

If this is saveable it will be done by bringing a few girls with you to her bar
Then just have a good time like she's not even there.

Pre-selection is a bitch. It'll humble the biggest attention whores.

@OP- Text her a ? after she doesnt respond. If that fails, bring a hot date into the bar.

But honestly, the theme of the forum is that if you have to ask questions about a girl, its probably not a girl worth going for anyways. ESP at an early stage like this.

This is usually a cordial next. Which means you just drop it, and pretend like it never happened and see if she initiates. If not, then just do your own thing and be cool w/her.

well here's an update.

yesterday, at 2pm, she sends me this text:

"I just saw your text! are you back in town?"

me (1 hr later): "I am, but Im leaving again on Friday for 10 days. Are you working all week?"

her (5 hrs later): "Yeah after tomorrow"

That was around 9 last night and I haven't responded yet. I'm just gonna try and set something up for tonight and if it doesnt work, im gonna move on from this one. It sounds like tonight is the only night either of us can get out so hopefully it works out. her response just didn't exactly inspire confidence. It seems like she kind of ignored my invitation for drinks so I'll plow thru and see what happens.
