Well, last friday evening Bar Lincoln was packed around 6pm, so much so that I decided not to enter it as I could not post up at the small bar. Made my way there Saturday evening at 8pm and it was full also. Got lucky and got a place at the bar next to 2 hot blonde women. Unfortunately wasted 30 minutes talking to them only to find out that they were friends of the bartender there and just went "to shoot the breeze" and were not interested in exchanging numbers. Both nights more women than men although I do not think this place is for amateur players as one has to dress to impress and the women have high bitch shields but nevertheless I am impressed...

You know, I used to do really piss poor socially when I was in my college town.

This is where I started learning game.

In my mind, I still remember the feelings of disgust and anger when I think back to how I was treated in that town.

In fact, these heated enclosures are what turns many men into players. It's the same reason Jesus was never able to perform a miracle in Nazareth. People already knew him.

I hated Boston for awhile, but after awhile I started getting a hang of the social culture and ropes of the city. I'd say, if you can get girls on the reg in a big blue city that isn't apart of the big 3 (Chicago, LA, NYC) then you're on your way to doing great things.

Besides, self preservation should always be first on any man's list. If you have the opportunity to make 160k vs 60k in two city's, take the higher paying job.

Ah, but what is money without the fun? Sometimes I think being a tennis coach (I used to be a ranked Jr. player so tennis is in my blood) someplace in Florida, making barely above minimum wage but living stress free and bumming on the beach would be better than currently working 60 hours per week, stressed out due to bitchy clients, having limited vacation, and few hot women in my field to converse with. Then going home late at night and barely even having the energy to hit the gym. Sure, I got a nest egg but as the old saying go's "money does not buy happiness".

Any of you fellas been to Ambar? Friends of mine have been raving about it for a while so I finally checked it out yesterday with a chick.

For some background, it's a Serbian restaurant that specializes in Balkan food. Ambar is considered one of the finest Balkan restaurants in the US. Even better, prices are quite reasonable.

The logistics are dope, though the location being in Eastern Market is not ideal unless you live or work near the Hill.

But there's a large seating area on the main floor with a bar in the back. Then upstairs you have some more seating space and another bar, and also a rooftop patio outside with a bar as well. The decor and ambiance is dope.

The happy hour menu is a steal, maybe the best in DC all things considered. I'm not typically a happy hour guy but this is a great place for that. I mean that in terms of taking a chick. Since it was Monday it was pretty quiet and I didn't see any pickup potential, save for the very attractive bartender who I heard speaking Serbian (need to make that trip now).

I would guess on busier days there may be some talent though so I'll have to go back for some recon then.

As for the menu, plenty of cocktails and food items like bacon wrapped prunes and balkan kebab. Everything on the menu is $4.

Took a chick there yesterday and sealed the deal aftewards. 5'2, petite with curves, chocolate chick. Was a good day!

I must say this thread is timely, as I discussed earlier in the day with a friend about how insignificant the women are here.

I'm in my mid 20's, I make six figures, and have a six figure retirement. I've been living in DC since 2010. I've also flown 350,000+ miles leisurely just to get the FUCK away from this hellhole. Since I've moved to DC, I've traveled to 30 countries, and domestically well over 50 times. The only thing that is keeping me from leaving this place faster, is my cushy salary, and the fact that other companies since the recession would rather look for local talent vs. paying for a relocation package, unless they really want you.

I've done my fair share of slaying women. Most posters are on point. Here in DC is very cliche and very clicky. You have average chicks (6's) who graduated with a degree and have an entry level $60k job, who have a chip on their shoulder, the world is owed to them, and that their the ripest piece of fruit on a tree. Keep in mind, hating on DC has nothing to do with being bitter, but just telling the honest goddamn truth. When I first moved here, I thought about carry my fucking resume in my pocket on disposable 128mb thumb drives...Women here always want to talk about work, school, and what you do for work.

I have to say that Arlington is my most hated area. The brofest is beyond annoying. Beer sipping beta's, jumping up and down off each others shoulders and screaming. Chicks that go to A-town, go with their clicks, if you don't know them, good luck. And when i say I can be an Ice breaker, I'm golden with this, works everywhere else, except here it seems. You have the occasional moments where you can leak through. Then score. The ones that do give it up faster, may not be fat but are chunky or a bit thicker (white girls), who have also had a few drinks. Yea, NO THANKS. Just so happens I know quite a few people, who know people, that know people. That has always been 'my way in'.

One place you can go freely and jive, is Reston Town Center, where there are a bunch of mid career, middle aged white women who are single. This is the trend in all of DC and the metro area, SINGLE WOMEN and IN THEIR PRIME. They are too busy trying to suck the next dick to get a promotion and don't know how to balance their career along with advancing with a man. Damn feminist movement I tell ya. Or they'll want to marry you and have kids.


When you do get a hang for gaming girls here, you come to the conclusion that tons of chicks here are wannabe socialites, but are in fact EXTREMELY lonely. The women love to pretend they're so busy and active with their lives. If you know how to make them feel loved or important, you'll be their personal sex slave until they deem you no longer worthy, just out of sheer habit.

Roughly 80% of the food related topics that come out of womens mouths here are 'organic' 'fair trade' and 'gluten free'

Most women here just want to be part of that circle, and if you sport them around at the right spots, they are happy.

Having $ in DC makes the game immensely better, NATURALLY.

I'll add more eventually.

Overall, at the end of the day or week, I'm always looking to get the fuck out of here. I have friends strategically located in the best spots worldwide.

Namely that this ctiy shits itself over a dinner filled with B-level celebrities, corrupt politicans, and incompetent journalists. People in DC treat it like it's the fucking Oscars.

At the end of the day, my conclusions are as is: DC is Hollywood for Ugly People

I hang at Clyde's, Jackson's, and Mccormick and Schmick's in Reston. I ride a sportsbike (motorcycle), I go down their midweek because the cougars love young men and they love bikes. Easy lay, especially from middle aged women who are decently fit for the most part. A lot are in shape.

I may hit Graham rooftop in DC to start the night to hit on pretentious gtown chicks or hit the water front near sequoia's. Most other places in georgetown are too conservative, 'barsy', and just plain suck. I don't need a club per se but I'd like to be in a lounge environment with good vibing music, while having the ability to still run game.

If not, I'll surface between Dupont Circle, all the way down to about L st.

Cities, ESL (eighteen street lounge), Huxley, Heist, Public, Current, Lucky Bar, etc.

Since I don't mind hookah, and progressive house can be a good bump, Gazuza's is a great spot in Dupont to lounge, drink, and smoke hookah.

Rumors...only if I want sloppy sluts, same thing with Sign of the Whale. Stay away from Bravo Bravo, nothing but fat central americans, and I'm not being prejudice.

Adams Morgan, just cleaned its act up a lot better with some construction in the area. First off it was the ghettoest pit for the longest time. And it is also the only place where underage girls can get into bars to have a drink, with their fake I.D. The only place I don't mind hitting 2 days straight, would be Napoleon.

Okay, have to run, I'm working . If anyone wants, you can always ask me anything. I've partied all over in DC,VA,MD. And I'm not the typical local. I'll even go down to Sterling/Centreville/Mclean/ etc.

I stay out of Baltimore for the most part. Too many ratchets. Fed Hill can be okay...

Competence -welcome to the forum. Your rant is all too familiar to folks who know the DC area well. Seems that you're NOVA-centric and the spots that you favor in DC are popular with the folks commuting in.

No real way around the BS though no matter where you go. Question is, where else in the US is it better to "live?" When doing the cost-benefit analysis, DC makes the most sense if you want to stack $ and still travel and move up the ladder sort of speak. Most other places you're looking at a pay cut and equal or worse situation with chicas.

I'm starting to think the best exit strategy for DC is to bank as much cash as possible then move to a second tier city like Austin, Charleston, Charlotte, Vegas, etc where you could buy a decent house/nice cash for 250k and live mortgage free for the rest of your life doing something you like.

Highly doubt you can get much worse than DC, but maybe I'm mistaken.

When I lived in downtown DC a couple years ago, I found the social circles really depended heavily on location. With many people I met, anyone who didn't live in DC proper was almost looked down upon as being boring. I don't think I ever went to Reston Town Center once for anything social.

Anyone who lived out in Reston or beyond just wasn't the adventurous type and probably not worth it. I remember only half-joking with a friend back then that when we went to house parties, we'd just refuse to talk to anyone who didn't live in 20009 or 20036 (Dupont Circle, Farragut, U Street, Adams Morgan).. though maybe we'd allow a few 20008's (Glover Park, Cleveland Park, Cathedral).

I don't think back then I went to Arlington more than once or twice a year, and it was usually when some distant acquaintance was hosting happy hour at some bar, but all his coworkers were the boring types that worked for government contractors (think Booz, CGI, etc).

Now realize my experiences are from a number of years ago, but also DC the city has had quite a renaissance then in terms of the younger crowd, looking at the population data. Suddenly neighborhoods like Bloomingdale, H Street and 14th Street are full of decent bars and not just no-go zones at night.

I'm not saying I disagree with you, as my experience were years ago. But what I do think is that DC, at least back then, was very much a DC/MD/NoVa split. The people who actually lived and hung out in DC were decent, and the other crowds often weren't.

That still doesn't change that spotting a 10 in DC is a rare occurrence compared to basically all major US cities though.

Well, prior to moving from Boston, I had the time of my life there. Not sure what it was but I slayed like a mofo there! I lived 3.5 miles from Fanueil Hall, so I was in the best area. Close to the Wharf/Financial District/Chinatown/Boylston/Yawkey Way/Allston & Brighton were close/ and if I wanted laid back sexy hippies or yuppies, I hung out on Mass ave area in Cambridge...and Somerville every blue moon.

I could get a job transfer to LA, San Diego, Tampa, Denver area, Hawaii, & overseas. I'm seeking out Germany, LA, and SD for job transfer. Whichever place accepts me first, I'm there. I have a hardcore group of friends Between Marina Del Rey, down to SD in the PB & HB areas. Plus, Scottsdale isn't too far away, nor is Vegas. I have an eclectic group of West coast friends and I've spent enough time there over the summers to know that I'd have a blast.

And yes, fat post college pigs is an understatement.

For hipsters, I'd even hit Rock n Roll hotel bar on the NorthEast side of DC. Lots of hipsters and decent quality there for slaying. But you can't slay there too much, people will recognize you....really fast!

DC is education central, yes. I have two degrees, while most around here have 3 and 4 #firstworldproblems for me :/.

And all of my friends are White Collar.

I've been hitting up H street more lately and 14th st as well. Trying to keep those bottomless mimosas going with the ladies ye' know! Nom saying !

I don't date black women. Not saying I wouldn't but I haven't. Also, for me, I'd have to find an outgoing black girl. I just find them to be more rebellious towards fun adventurous things. I'm very into cultural things.

Yeah. I've been hanging in the Capitol Hill area a bit. Lots of good date spots there. I was just at Hawk and Dove and then hit Hank's Oyster Bar afterwards. I recommend Ambar (Serbian/Balkan resto) as well. Happy Hr Weds-Fri should be decent for pickup.

From Tenleytown to Dupont Circle, all those stops had decent women both getting on and off. Looking on the train among people in the 20's and 30's age group, I'd say it was about 60% female. Not many 10's, but not many 2's either -- though most women look better in office clothes anyway.

My point is the numbers are there -- DC isn't lacking in women. I do think bars and clubs will give a much more negative impression though, since the smart women and workaholic types just aren't going to head out to places like that too often.

Hi Paninaro - FYI, I think you're treading on dangerous ground here

DC is known to generally suck for women. Sure it's better than bumf*ck Iowa, and there are plenty of women there, but most of the pretty women you see are outliers, and there certainly aren't tons of 7s and 8s running around. Most are poorly dressed, overweight and entitled, and the few that are attractive are being chased by a ton of guys and typically difficult to access. Indeed, many tend to gravitate towards careerism/Feminism on the whole and act like they are God's gift to men. They also generally have no idea what their real value is in the sexual marketplace bc of the incredibly PC and anti-male envirnoment created by an entire city full of government employees/drones. And on the whole they are some of the least feminine, worst dressed bunch of women on the planet that I've encountered. At least that's what I've seen there and read about on the forum. We have entire threads on how bad DC is, including this one.

But since it's such a wealthy city replete with foreign diplomats and bigtime lobbyists/politicians/lawyers there are certainly a fair bit of 'diamonds in the rough.' So for sure there are certain categories of women there that are not bad (for example, the African-American crowd, or the Northern Virginian crowd maybe) but I think those are often outliers who are less involved in the whole corrupt government bureaucracy that provides most of the work in DC.

IMO, the hordes of annoying career government workers, many of whom think they are the smartest people on the planet, is incredibly annoying too. DC people often seem to me like they are living in a government-funded fantasyland. I remember visiting family there right after the crisis and it was like 'crisis, what crisis'? Everyone's on the government dole or tied up in a job that completely depends on government funding in one way or another. So they don't feel the rest of the country's pain. They have jobs for life basically, and are often just trying to ride out their careers to get their big juicy pensions/retirement packages. It's a sick joke how disconnected DC people are sometimes. So I think that clearly translates into the 'entitled princess' 4, 5 or 6 type woman who predominate there.

From your post, it seems that you might have access to a certain higher end social circle of people that tend to be a little more attractive than the average Washingtonian, so maybe you are in a little bit of a bubble.

Not trying to be harsh on you, just don't agree with the sugarcoating of some of DC that I inferred from your post(s). But welcome to the forum! And it would be great if you could expand on why DC ain't so bad for women.

what if all the guys who are complaining about the girls listed the last three spots they went to to see/meet women. then we'd have some idea of what we're dealing with here.
