Yeah, yeah, I'm sure there are loads of exceptions, but I do notice a trend for those girls attractive enough they don't need a personality to, well, still lack one when they get older and their looks start to fade.

As they approach their mid-twenties, they're not as hot as they used to be and can't get a circle of eager men around them just by showing up the way they used to. But they never learned how to hold a decent conversation, or talk about anything but themselves and their job.

(And don't young women age fast once they get a professional job, even the ones who don't put on weight? I've seen girls who were 8s not long after graduating turn into 6s in a scarily short period of time.)

I've seen plenty of ugly girls that have no personality, so I don't know if I can say there's any trend. The no-personality thing a hot girl puts out could also be a form of a b*tch shield where she just gives boring or one-word answers to guys she's not interested in, hoping that they'll get bored of her and move on. There's lots of women that are attractive AND interesting. I think the one thing that may suck about attractive women along these lines is that they are used to people constantly supplicating to them, waiting on them hand and foot, giving them what they want. To find a hot chic who is not spoiled rotten and has a laid-back and unpretentious demeanor would be a true diamond in the rough.

If you draw a graph with hotness on one axis and personality on the other, i'm confident you'd see a trend with the personality decreasing with increasing hotness..

But I wonder if it as guys we view it too much as a self fulfilling prophecy. We see a hot girl, assume she's a moron, and then notice those traits first.

Since she is hot she's probably interacted with more people than an ugly girl in her life. I'm sure they helps her somewhat.

There are 2 categories of hot girls: those who have always been hot and those who have become hot after the age of 15 (walking miracles). The latter had to work harder earlier in life and developed 'personalities'.

But if having a personality just means 'not being boring', then you can make a fair argument for an unbelievable percentage of girls being boring. Why are girls boring? I've been researching this for a few months now, and I don't have a definitive answer.

That's for sure. I heard Gwyneth Paltrow being interviewed about the movie Shallow Hal where she had to put on this makeup and costume that made her look like a hugely obese woman. When she walked off the set and interacted with people, she said people wouldn't even make eye contact with her and give her brief answers like they didn't want to be bothered. Kinda sucks that humanity is like that. Not that I want to bang an obese chic, but people should all be treated kindly regardless.

By hot you have to take into account- the marketing version of hot or a hot girl that doesn't (need to) wear makeup and looks good in jeans and a tank top. If it is the marketing version- yes they suck because they can't bring anything into a conversation, they only provide something to look at. The latter is an amazing find.

Sorry, that was a response to the guy who replied to say hot girls aren't in fact boring. I wasn't saying they were - just asking if they become boring when they are older.

Sometimes they'll stay hot, but like I said, girls seem to age quickly, even when they don't put on weight. Once they aren't hot enough to command loads of male attention doing nothing, I find some of them don't necessarily have much more to offer.

Trends and profiling exist for a reason. In most cases its true that white guys can't dance, Mexican guys seem to drive slower, girls talk no the phone more than guys and yes hot girls do lack in personality. Or at the least hot girls fail in the effort to have a good personality. Unless your a guy who is an improvement over all the other dudes trying to get in her pants your just filling her time till he shows up. Whomever is less significant will have to try harder than the more significant person.

It is not an issue of boring but what is their attitude toward men. Here in Los Angeles, the hot women usually are paid for directly or indirectly and expect it. You have to get through their bullshit and not care.

I have to agree. Use that axis and draw very simple conclusions. This probably differs outside of Western culture. But here...Women with exceptional looks tend to not develop an exceptional peronality. Because :THEY DON'T NEED TO!

Most of us base the effort we put into life upon the effort we feel we need to put into life in order to get whatever it is we want. Now imagine that you've spent a large portion of your life getting much of what you want without having to put that much into life. How many of us can honestly say we'd put effort into developing our character? Some would, and that's why there's some hot chicks with great personalities. Most wouldn't, and that's why most hot chicks don't have great personalities.

In a society like ours where standards are plummeting, these types of women are just plain hard to find. And if you do find a single one, she's gonna be one helluva goal to achieve.

Hottest girl I know is a model (you see her on billboards for fashion campaigns). She is also one of the most boring people I have ever met. She's almost impossible to hold a conversation with; it's almost painful spending time with her because of this. Her orbiters will laugh at even her most inane observations and she probably thinks she's a sparkling conversationalist.

On the flipside, some of the most impressive (male) natural players I've met have been either very short, or otherwise not physically attractive. They've been forced to develop game.

I actually think I take the intelligence on a face into account in calculating hotness. to oversimplify, more intelligent people move their eyes more, among other things.

I mean, a perfect nose and skin on a blank expressionless face is just not that exciting--it can verge on blow-up doll territory.

So for me, my version of "hotter" women are more interesting.

Also, traditionally attractive women of all intelligence levels have dealt with guys hitting on them more, and in my experience are better at both smoothing the way if they are into you, or gracefully ditching you while allowing you to save face if they're not.

Thus thumbs up for hotties.
