The problem I have with online dating is that a girl will post a pic saying that she is the girl on Picture 1, and when you meet her she looks like picture 2. The problem is they actually think the online photo was an excellent "representation" of their appearance.

I have some good tactics to filter these out, and avoid them. Usually, I go for profiles with multiple photos that are NOT professionally taken photos. I usually ask them to send me photos they can take with their cell phone camera. But, I'm curious, how do you filter these?

I guess I've been lucky so far but most of the girls i've been out with actually look BETTER in person. One chic I went out with from Alexandria admitted to me that she didnt put her best pictures on there. Her reasoning was that she didn't want my expectation to be so high. LOL
Some chics just aren't that photogenic either.

I have tactics too (i.e. clear waist down photos, no weird angles, etc. Only a few times has a person I've met not matched the pic. Maybe it's luck, maybe it's my strategy.

How do I filter those pictures? If that's the same chick, I skip. If they are two different girls with no other pictures, I skip both. If the left one has more pictures that appear to be legit, I move to skim the profile.

When girls say they don't drink at all I usually dismiss them regardless of how hot they are. Alcohol is the gateway to easy pussy, so when a girl tells me she doesn't drink what she is saying is "banging me will be a challenge." "If" I were to respond, I would call her out half-jokingly on the fact that she doesn't drink in a way that dismisses any arguments. The actual response would depend on the previous dialogue or "known" facts.

We all have it to some extent, but I think I've sharpened my radar for seeing through over-produced or unrealistic pictures. Take that first picture you (Mixx) included. That looks totally professional and touched-up to me. If I ran into a profile with just pictures like that, I'd pretty much move on. If you look at the epic "What do you guys consider a 10" thread on this board, you'll see that some guys have uploaded some pretty doctored images (probably unwittingly) as their dimes. Stevie Wonder could see through that bad photoshopping.

When I'm browsing profiles, I look for built-in amateur pictures with the known caveats: no gratuitous angles, no "kissy faces," no adjusted contrasts, no far-away or dark shots. If a girl hasn't volunteered this in their profile, I assume problems.

Another important skill is being able to compare pictures, especially from different "series." Any discrepancy might say that either this girl is one of those weird cases that photograph inaccurately (this rarely works to your benefit) or that she's deliberately using pictures that are not representative. Worse, some chicks have been known to use another look-alike girl's pictures as their own.

The funny part is that the average girl has a way bigger pool of pictures to choose from than the average dude. Between sausages fawning over them and taking pictures of them, their hen-ish girlfriends shooting pictures of one another constantly, and their own mirror shots, they have a veritable library of images. So, when you look at a profile, it's usually safe to assume that you're getting their absolute best. When I've had to put together a profile, I had to have a homie take some picture of me. I'm not like these cam whores, and I'm not on facebook, so I don't have a hard-drive full of images of myself.

The bottom line is that regardless of what you do, online dating is a crap shoot--even if you follow all the rules. One time, I connected with a really cute, petite, freckled light-skinned Mexican girl. I did everything "right." When I met her, she looked just like in her pictures, except she had a gigantic head and huge feet. Just to put it in perspective, she was 5'0", but wore something like size 9.5 shoes (US size)! She was horny as fuck though. Maybe it was some sort of testosterone thing.

I also always copy their profile link and open with another browser (not logged in) so they don't see me view their profile. I don't pay if I can avoid it. My last date with this 22yo croatian chick ended with her paying in full, very surprising. I typically offer to pay if they don't make a move, but I try to lead up to it with her buying the first round (i.e. "first round's on you" in one of my messages). Surprisingly, most of the girls I take out offer to pay half. Then, I'll usually thank feminism for gender equality and they eat it up. If a girl offers to pay, I never refuse -- this was a mistake I made early on thinking I should white knight it. You DHV by letting a woman pay, it's great.

I'm actually curious about this too. I've been running the online thing for a while, but I just revamped my old PoF profile to reflect my post Enlightened state.

What I've learned from my experience is that online dating is much more of a meat market then a bar or club. Everything is on face value (most times literally) I'm curious what kind of pictures you have up, how much of an alpha personality comes through?

My profile is short and straight to the point but funny. Pictures are either me with a girl having fun or doing something outdoors. I don't think it comes across as "too" alpha... those kinds of profiles usually tend to work better for extremely high maintenance 8s & 9s looking for top alphas with bodybuilder physiques -- or so my buddy tells me.

You can have multiple profiles with different pictures AND description. From my past experience, it is almost impossible to have a single profile (and matching "welcome" message) which would attract both white and asian chicks of good quality.

Just shortened the grape juice line and sent it to 3 girls.

Girl 1 is this bottle service chick at XS and she's pretty damn cute, we've txted back and forth but she's only free Tue - Thurs and I've had scheduling problems with other chicks and it kind of fizzled out. She texted back within a half hr "OMG baby ur so funny!"
