Novosibirsk Data Sheet

As you know I was there for about a week. Here's all the data/info I gathered in my time there..

Lodging/Logistics:
You want to stay as close as possible to Sovetskaya 18 would be my suggestion. There are several clubs/pubs there, it's next to the main square in town, there are a few coffee shops and restaurants too, and a grocery store. Can't think of a better place to stay.

We rented a flat through booking.com, PM me for more info. It was located a 3 minute walk from Sovetskaya 18 and we paid $100/night for a nice 1-bedroom apartment that included breakfast.

I flew into the airport in Novosibirsk and it is a dump. Passport control took forever and because I was so hungover from Odessa the night before I failed to look into important things like exchange rate, how far my apartment was, etc. So we got ripped off for the taxi, 2000 rubles when it should have been much less. Be careful about that. Also, I didn't see an ATM at the airport. Maybe have some rubles with you before you come or ask the taxi driver to stop at an ATM.

The City/Transport:
It is hands down, the ugliest and most depressing city I've ever been to. There is only one main street, Krasney Prospect and that's it. And it's pretty damn ugly, industrial looking. There is really nothing else to see or go to in the city. This is not only my opinion but locals who lived there.

I did however never make it over to Akademekagorodok or whatever it's called, which is supposed to be nice.

Transport wise, there is one metro in town and one line (I believe, I only went once). Honestly 90% of what you want to do is on that main street or right off it, so we never took a taxi once other than to arrive and leave the city. Took the metro once to go to a club a bit out of the main city area, which I will talk about later.

Safety:
This may be the only town I was actively careful in. These Siberian guys get very drunk. Also it was the only place I've been to where I was warned 1) not to venture out of the main street, and 2) to stay away from certain types of guys (the ones wearing all sport clothes, forgot their names).

Nothing at all happened, but we were just careful. We didn't venture alone out at night, and stopped speaking English when passing groups of drunk guys.

Phone SIM:
On Krasny Prospect there is some phone store with yellow background and black writing, whose name is Europe translated into Russian or something. Went there and got some MegaFon sim's, pretty cheap. Make sure to tell them you want unlimited internet. It's 3G service for our Iphone 5s.

Food/Restaurants/Cafes:
Respublica - Located next to Carl's Jr in that Sovetskaya 18 complex. Good food, cheap too for Russia. I suggest the tongue dish. Lots of young people go here because it's cheap. Also good preparty spot before heading out at night, girls were receptive to us there. NOTE - no waiters/waitresses spoke English and nothing on the menu was in English. So be warned.

Cafe Molka - Same complex, good cafe with good internet and some girls there if you want to daygame.

Traveler's Coffee - A chain with multiple locations, we did not like it. Slow internet subpar food/coffee.

Cafe Molka (bigger one) - North on Krasny Prospekt, over the metro. Huge 3 story cafe, sit on the roof lots of people. Good food.

Nightlife:
A bit disappointing during the week, but some pockets of action here and there. You can check out nightout.ru for some ads on what is good each night, as well as photos.

POSH - Where I went for ladies' night on Wednesday. Free champagne for all girls, so it was packed with girls in there, unbelievable ratio. We hit with our first approach so can't really say how receptive the girls were in general.

There is an entry, and pay with cash. The damn cashier tried to rip me off and it was a 15 minute delay to fix it. Once at the bar, get a bottle of Vodka, it was only like 60 bucks for that and some cokes/mixers. We tried other nights and it was dead.

FIRST - we were told not to go there because the low class go and fights happen a lot. More than one person told us this, so we stayed away.

SINEY INI - Popular club with the locals, but we hated it. Worst reception we got was here, girls were not very friendly. Super small, packed and not easy to start conversations. Good level of talent though. It's location is hard to find, it's in the Sovetskaya 18 complex, to the left of Harat's pub. Look for a small blue door, only works on weekends. We went on Saturday night.

HARAT'S PUB - An irish pub, not that great. Few girls here and there and apparently they have live music on weekends. I'd skip it.

KILEV BAR - In the Sovetskaya 18 complex, hard to find. Where Respublica is you will see a little alley way going into the courtyard (if you can call it that) of the complex. Walk down the path and on your left you will see a sign that says Kilev. There is a big metal door, pull on it and the bouncer will open and let you in. It works random days.

We went on Saturday and liked it, girls were receptive there is a dance floor several bars, etc. But be warned it is hot as shit in there. No outside area at all.

PRAVDA - This one is a bit away from the center and you have to take the metro or cab, but for me it looked like the most promising club of all. I went with the 19yo who later blew me off (though we were going at it that night at the club), so I couldn't approach. But loads of attractive, young girls and the ratio was 70/30 girls to guys. I was getting looks too, killed me not to approach. Several rooms, outside patio for smoking, has it all. Only thing is logistically it is out of the way. This was Friday night.

LOBSTER BOB's - A favorite of locals, we never made it there. It's in that Akademicgorodok area, there are buses that go from outside Posh to there and back at night. Buses leave the city center at 11 and 1, and return at 3 and 5am. Price is 50 rubles. Beach bar apparently, no idea how good it is.

ALPEN GROTTE - Odd after hours place that goes until 6 or later every night. A strip club is attached, didn't know what to make of this place. Some really drunk people there but quality is missing. We went on Tuesday night.

FRIENDS - Another city favorite. Higher end bar that makes fancy cocktails and has hookah. Went on Tuesday too and it was hard to approach there. Some decent quality though, few hotties smoking hookah.

COYOTE UGLY - Locals seem to love this place too, we only made it there that Sunday night where I had my threesome. Apparently a lot of people go on the weekends. Kind of far away from the action but walkable.

ROCK CITY - Open every night but few people both times we went (off nights). Younger crowd, more rockish. Has an odd card system where they give you a card to charge your drinks and you pay when you leave. Went on their ladies' night (Thursday) and it was dead. Went on Sunday again (first bar of my threesome night) and it was dead too, but we were able to get some approaches in.

Girls:
Coming from Ukraine, very disappointing. There are of course cute and hot girls here and there, but it was rough finding them. Daytime I barely saw any, maybe 1 or 2 hot girls every hour. Compare that with Kiev where it was 1 or 2 every few minutes. I saw one stunner the entire time there. There are straight up fat and obese girls there, as well as a good concentration of thicker girls. Punk/hipster also high here. Nonetheless, it's still Russia so at night you'd get the dress, heels, makeup and the hotter girls made their way out.

The girls did not seem that conservative. We got makeouts on same nights, my buddy banged on a first date and I got that threesome. I would see people making out at the clubs often. Some girls got pretty hammered.

Not a high concentration of English speakers. Probably the least in my travels. Maybe 10-20% spoke conversational English.

Guys:
Man they are ugly. I'm talking really really ugly. Unibrows, horrible dress style, mutant looking people. Almost everywhere we went we truly believed we were the best looking guys there. I've been to Moscow and now here in Tomsk and the guys are at least respectable if not stylish and decent looking. Not in Novosibirsk. Probably the ugliest group of guys I've ever seen. Maybe that helped with my friend's and I's success there.

The guys are super aggressive with their approaches and girls. They will grab them as they walk by Brazilian style. I barely spoke to many guys there as I tried to avoid them. A few were nice, one kept buying us shots at Siney Inei. Overall just ignore them and you should be fine.

Strategy/Game:
Just say hello and whip out the translator. Just kidding. My friend's strategy was to birrage them with kindness, which worked for him. For me it was being nice and friendly with a lot of touching. I'd screen girls by asking their name, seeing if they asked mine and if they asked where I was from. That meant interest, then I'd push it from there.

Dressing up worked. I had much more success in my blazer than I did with just a button down. Standard western game worked fine. I was the most dressed up on Sunday night (blazer) and I think that worked in my favor to get the bang.

My approaches all started in English. If they showed some level of interest, I'd continue in English and with some Russian mixed in to entertain them (they think its so funny when I speak). If no English, I'd try to go with some Russian but that was much harder.

Other/Costs:
As I mentioned the level of English is low with restaurants, service people and locals. Vodka is the cheapest drink you can get, even less than beer. Stick to that to save some money. People are poor there, so a lot of them take advantage of free nights for girls, or switch to Vodka to save money.

Vodka was about 2-4 bucks a shot. Other drinks were 8-10 bucks. Coffee was about 2-3 bucks and lattes/mochas were 4-6 bucks. Entry to clubs was anywhere from 3-10 bucks at most. Not bad.

We visited the zoo, not worth it in my opinion.

White God Factor:
Pretty fucking high if a girl is into you. I did not see, hear or speak to another foreigner in the almost week I was there, much less an American. I've detailed some of the reactions already here in this thread.

Conclusion:
I would NOT go back. Yes I had the threesome but having had a few of them they are straight luck of the draw. It's not like certain cities are known for their bisexuality amongst women (or if there are I should find them). The city is so ugly it makes you depressed. I have never been to Kharkiv but now understand what Roosh was talking about as an industrial shithole. It cost us $600 one way to fly there from Odessa and it was a 5 hour flight - it's definitely out there. My advice for anyone wanting to go would be as follows:

- If you want just sex, nothing else, and you have a buddy to go with, then GO.
- If you are alone, DON'T go.
- If you want to daygame or do anything during the day, DON'T go.
- If you are looking for tons of high quality walking around, DON'T go.
- If you enjoy the white god factor or want to experience it and can put up with the negatives, then GO.

We have to keep this forum honest so we don't end up like the other side, so to that end Partizan was right to voice any doubts he has about a story posted on here. Come on Kamaki, you have been hauled over the coals on this, firstly for over exaggerating the dangers that a non Russian Slav faces in provincial Russia and second, openly advocating P4P.

The dangers are there.There are gopniks lots of drunk people and bullies.Russia is no Ukraine.Police is also much more hardcore in Russia.It is more tense not only for foreigners but for Russians as well.
As for the exchange thing all Russian women I met wanted an exchange in the sense of expensive hotels,clothing etc.I also believe that slubu bought at least some bottles in this club with Russian women nothing is for free.

Ok you got me, I admit it I made it all up. Now let's move on.

Tomsk is a pretty damn sweet city. Of course initial impressions, but tons of young girls, very receptive, lots of English spoken, actually a nice city too (or maybe I'm just coming off the hellhole that was Novo). Had a fun day and now first night out. Will report back.

Tomsk is meant to be a good looking town by Siberian standards right? My first ever Russian teacher was from there and she told me that it had lots of wooden houses still standing. Probably a nicer vibe than N'birsk I imagine.
