Ok, there are four things:

1. Traffic & Demographic Targeting

-What are your sources of traffic going to be? Your blog posts exclusively? A mailing list? Are you going to design a video oriented toward spurring some reaction or support?
-Who is your demographic?

2. The E-Store Front

How bad is your paranoia? The following will seem a bit extravagant, but better too much security than not enough and regretting it.

-For protection and selling of things you don't want traced, I'd recommend: A) Offshore Bank Account B) Offshore Merchant Account, Offshore VPN and WhoisPrivacy and registration with details and a bought PO box with a private domain registrar to host the ecommerce site. Proxies, CCleaner etc. etc. the usual also.

3. Handling the Abuse: How bad do you realistically think the backlash would be? You'll need a system to handle the impending DDOS or whatever bs they'd try. They have tools at their disposal I'd assume.

I can offer more information after I get the questions answered, because there is still alot more that can be done.

Funny you should mention Kickstarter.

The site I wanted to use is the kickstarter for tee-shirts

You come up with a design, you post it, set the price.

Then you of course drive traffic to the site, if it meets 50 t-shirts, they silk screen it and send it out to the people, you just collect the check from them.

I could, it would depend what all everyone would want to know. Just how to sell as anonymously as possible online? Just a basic overview or is there something specific anyone (including you) wants to know about it?

Interesting thread I was thinking the other day of maybe selling just t shirts with a phrase. Would be interested on how to stay anonymous. A question about the lindy west shirt would be using her picture to make money. Any lawyers care to chime in on that?

Casebook wise, it depends on the particular state's common law

I.e. the rules created by appellate cases - i.e. when low level courts disagree on something, a "court" of courts comes into to decide.

In reality, it's about
a) how mad the person is that you're making fun of
b) how much money they have to pay a lawyer
c) how much money you made by using their likeness

Just to build a little on what Black Quixote said:

You could buy an anonymous reloadable debit card with an IBAN account linked (look around on the deep web) and use that as your bank account for a payment gateway such as paypal.

All you have to do after you have everything set up is withdraw the cash you make from an ATM.

Use offshore/bullet-proof hosting for the actual website. Try to pay anonymously with bitcoin and if you're truly paranoid, only access your website from anonymous places (like using a proxy/VPN + free wifi)
