RE: Girls in MBA program (or any professional program)
Horn - combative tone is not necessary.
Your experience may differ, but most women in the MBA program were not that impressive. I also worked in corporate America for decades, and most (not ALL) women from top tier MBA programs were not that impressive. Yes, some were though. The one's that were strong analytically also happen to be very masculine. Your experience may differ, but that's mine.
I worked for a major corporation that you would all know. We had one female with an MBA from Northwestern when it was the top school. She was also really smart, much smarter than me. She was also 6'1", 200 lbs, and lesbian. She was creme-de-la-creme of all the female MBAs I ever met, in terms of smarts. She was smarter than most guy MBAs. But she was no match for the creme-de-la-creme male MBAs I worked with.
Yes, Marketing requires stats, but Marketing is usually considered less rigorous than Finance. And don't even get me started on HR gals.
I did get jobs offers, and do well, thank you for your concern. But back then there was a big push to get women into business. So if you had an MBA and a vagina, these corporations would beat a path to your door, even if you were mediocre.
And yes, I'm not lying. I did see several female meltdowns at B-school. I also have seen it on the job.

RE: Girls in MBA program (or any professional program)
I really wasnt impressed with the women in my program in general. There were some who were really cool and were quite amazing. However, they were few and far between, less than 5%. I will give the girls some slack since most people in bschool arent as amazing as they think they are. But, there were like 3-4 times more amazing guys than girls. (Btw, my favorite girls were mostly from Russia and Ukraine)
In my team, we had one girl who did shitty group work, particularly in accounting. I called her out on it and she fucking started crying. "You dont know what it feels like to try so hard and be told you're bad!" and ran out of the room crying. Another girl in a different group, was also lazy as shit and got called out on it. She fucking melted down in the cafeteria crying.
Amazingly, I did not see any of this shit from the guys. Seriously, do you know how awkward it feels to see a girl who's in her mid 20's to late 20's in a business clothes bawling like a 5 year old?
So please spare me this "the girls in bschool are amazing" crap. They might be ambitions, they might be aggressive, and some might in fact be amazing, but you can't say they are all amazing. In fact, I would bet heavily against it.

Yep, sounds similar to my experience. What is funny too, is the smartest girl in our program was a Russian gal. She was amazing smart, and hot. She was banging several of the guys in the program too. Too bad I had no game then.
There was a brouhaha recently about how Harvard Law School was "sexist" because women don't do as well as men. This is one of the most elite professional programs in the world, and you should read some of the quotes from the broads in the program. How there is too much competition, and how they are made to "feel" unconfident. They said the Socratic method is sexist. LOL. These girls did not seem like the elite of society to me. There wasn't much logic in what they were saying. A lot of hamster spinning and emotional reasoning. Never hire a female lawyer. There are probably some good ones, but it seems a lot of them got in to fill a quota box, so why take a chance?
