So the penis-lopping wife has just been sentenced. Life in prison:

"Catherine Kieu, a Calif. woman, has been sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole for cutting off her husband's penis and then running it through a garbage disposal, according to CBS Los Angeles.
Kieu, 50, was reportedly convicted in April of torture and aggravated mayhem for the attack that took place in July 2011.

The station reports prosecutors say Kieu got into an argument with the victim at their home before she slipped sleeping pills into her husband's soup. Once he fell asleep, Kieu allegedly tied him up, then woke him and cut off his genitals with a 10-inch kitchen knife."

because she might appeal it, get a female judge, and the female judge will just let her free,
as so many cases in the past (for example the famous Lorena Bobbitt case,
when wife cut the penis of husband and throw it kilometres away in the forest,
and then she got just few days of treatment and then she was free...)
