I haven't found anything in feminist circles about David Reimer or Dr.Money's influence on social constructivism which remains a strong pillar of academia.
Curious what they have to say.

I posted the story on my Facebook. Has some women liking and commenting on it actually. One, though, said, "I wonder how many other lives that man ruined." Apparently missing the idea that the problem is bigger than "the man."

They would say you can't force someone to change genders, and David wasn't gender-queer or whatever the word salad term they use for that is. The gender change was involuntary and was not the gender he identified himself as.

That's if they don't subscribe to Judith Butler's batshit insane philosophy, though. In that case, they'd just blame John Money's bizarre therapy practices.

Their belief would remain intact either way... you just can't win.
