RE: Relatively Unknown DC Socialite Gets Paid To Live Glamorously
I opened her at the Social Safeway a few months back. It was funny because I mistook her for Go Kate Shoot -- who I had seen speak last summer about her photography.
Anyway, Kate Michael got rather offended that I mistook her for a younger version of herself (they really do look alike). I actually mocked her a bit while she tried to scoot away from me.
The funny thing is that my comments struck a nerve with her because by the time I had gotten home she had Tweeted about the encounter.
326 page views a day though!! LOL That's something to brag about!

Interesting idea, but I can guarantee you these events offer little to no ROI in terms of bangs. These type of events cater to an older crowd, not fun and young girls looking for D. DTF twenty-somethings aren't going to a charity event to look for cock. It's more about schmoozing and them seeing what they can get out of you in terms of business or contacts. Everyone has their mask on.
I think it depends on the event, although you may be right about DC.
Doesn't DC have live "young" art events at the museums or something? Those can be fruitful for a higher quality of girl.
In Miami, they have a bunch of young art events at museums.
Cocktails and they even have DJ's. Sometimes they go till 11 or so and just bounce girls out.
But then again, it's Miami.

Exactly. That's why in theory it sounds great. Because these things pop in other cities, but not DC. For one, our museums are pretty much federalized for the most part. The Smithsonian is run by dinosaurs and financed by the Fed. They definitely will not put together something that involves what guys like us would consider fun. Most of what they do caters to families. Just look at the Mall that runs beside the museums. Doesn't even have a bar or a decent restaurant. Just hot dog vendors and carousels for the kids.

What about Jazz in The Garden on Fridays? I have not made it but I have heard good things. Last week was first one of the summer but the weather was pretty bad.
Totally forgot about that. Very popular in the summer.
Would Kate Michel make a dent in the NYC or Miami social scenes? NYC does have socialites that are more respected for their brains then their looks, but they tend to be connected to money somehow. You made a good point that Kate isn't rich by any stretch.

It seems that NYC socialites all have family money and went to the right schools.
Didn't read the article, but does this girl have family money?
Did she go to those private schools?

Yea that's the big event, but it's mostly a group activity. Get your social circle together and some bottles of wine and picnic under a tree for a few hours.
Unfortunately it's so damn humid in DC in the summers, it takes away from the fun of it.
As for Museum events, the Smithsonian used to have a young professionals membership called "Young Benefactors" and they did Happy hours. I went to a few and they were pretty decent. They shut it down though because of a budget crunch. I don't think too many members went from the $65 benefactors to the $150 Smithsonian associates after that though...

When did this Young Benefactors thing happen? What kind of crowds and how was the quality of chicks? Did they end it during the recent sequester crisis or before?

I have a hunch one of her friends at the Post got her this publicity. I for one refuse to click her her page and increase views.
Yep.
She is the equivalent of a 30K Millionaire.
You know she is living off of credit card's, daddy, and generous benefactors.
But she'll eventually marry a lobbyist and they'll be heralded as the latest "power couple." She'll get rich off a man's back and may even end up with a reality TV show on Bravo.
She's symptomatic of larger problems but I won't hate.
Game recognize game.
"But she'll eventually marry a lobbyist and they'll be heralded as the latest "power couple." She'll get rich off a man's back and may even end up with a reality TV show on Bravo."
I don't want to pick on Kate in particular. This comment is to address the women in this entire scene, some of whom I've met. You know how you hear those stories about how such-and-such guy made millions in sports or business but it all got taken by some woman?
THESE ARE THOSE WOMEN.
This is a specific scene filled with social climbers and money-oriented people. This should not be where you should even want to fish. The reason being is that for what you end up with, it's not worth the headache. This goes for one-nighters too -- most of the ones worth banging once were worth it in college. And also, while we like to joke about how most women can smell money, these women really do seem to have that quality. Even if you're well off, this is an unattractive quality in a woman.
For whatever reason though, some men feel that after they've made $$$, they haven't "arrived" until they have a socialite on their arm. But from what I see, most guys can do better when it comes to how these women look and most would not want to put up with the massive, massive high maintenance these women require.
The part of this article about Kate about her two closets full of clothes reminds of someone I used to date who had to hire a separate, second psychologist specifically for her "shopping addiction." She's nice-looking but not so nice looking you'd want to get stuck with that bill, literally or figuratively.
See my above comments about the prostitute-in-all-but-name I met on Craig's List for more of the ugly underbelly of this scene.
