As a man, your goal for most social interaction is to "smooth the edges". People are generally rough and uncalibrated. A well-calibrated person will adjust to his environment.

This applies to business and friendships better than love. This is because matters of love are largely antagonistic rather than cooperative.

Well said, reminds me of what someone told me at work. A manager/boss is trying to get the best performance out of you. He is not trying to make you into him, he understands your strengths and weaknesses and while trying to improve your skills he puts you in position to win. He looks good and you look good. He is a leader and he is about winning. That is Alpha. A grounded, solid person is present and gets his reality.

Trying to make someone submit is just about bullying and a fragile ego that can't accept people do not agree with you.

The stronger your presence becomes, the more of an effect you are going to make on others.

Some men will respect you for it, look up to you, ask you for advice etc.
Others will despise you, want what you have, make excuses for your successes, try to bring you down etc.

Although I am becoming better at it, I am not an 'alpha' all the time. I don't have to try and out-alpha my family, close friends, coworkers and such, that is just stupid.

I find myself stepping up my presence usually when I am out, taking leadership in a group project, stepping on the footy field with my mates.. My attitude changes. Especially when I am one on one with a girl and I am aware of her tests. I know I have to step up, maintain my frame, and show her that I'm not like the other guys and I will not let her walk over me.

That is usually when the indifference is caused. On the soccer pitch sometimes I clash with other teammates verbally, but that can be healthy and is necessary at a competitive level. In group work sometimes you have to step things up and make things known to others, that may cause them to respect you for it or anger them. With a girl maybe you come off too arrogant to her or her friends ruining the interaction, or she becomes so attracted to you that her friends can't even pull her away from you.

These moments of stepping up don't happen all the time, meaning you don't have to be 100% alpha. Hell, when I'm in my basement deciding what video game to play or what to watch it might take me 15 minutes before I decide on something, so beta. But when you do have to step up, specifically in the presence of others, some will hate you, some will like you for it.

1. Never help your friends unless they ask for it. Many men have large ego's which cannot reasoned with.

2. The "alpha" behavior which attracts women is the same behavior which will turn off most men. Act beta around men, at least initially, and you'll get a lot further in life. I only act tough around guys if they start to act tough around me.

Being a true alpha will most certainly make you some enemies and you will lose friends.

My entire life I've been an alpha leader and I've noticed the following:

1. Beta men are drawn to me as friends and will follow my lead. Note: I didn't say 'advice'. I tend to lead by example. If someone wants advice then be a man and ASK me.

2. Literally, almost EVERY friend I've ever had has displayed jealousy at one point or another, specifically regarding my successes and pulling women. I'm not in their faces about it, but they still get pissed. I tend to be slightly arrogant, but have learned to tone it down a bit.

3. Women love my Alpha personality. Before I was fire with game, I can look back and see how I got laid sometimes solely based off my IDGAF attitude.

4. Other Alphas are drawn to me and we can hang out together but in a very LIMITED scope. Do you see the male lion with his pride of female lionesses and another male lion? No. Alphas clash at a certain point, especially if they are strong-willed. I'm not anyone's Turtle to their Entourage and never will be. I'm Vince; or I don't know you.

I have a core group of real friends who would take a bullet for me and that's my crew in good and bad times.

Hang on to your real friends and fuck the users, manipulators and jealous types, who will only spread negative energy.

I only have 2 friends that I can discuss red pill ideas with because I think their personality types are the kind that will digest information with an open mind. After being fucked over by his ex-girlfriend, I opened my best friend up to the world known as the "manosphere". We're both still young (compared to everyone else...) and it's going to take time to positively apply these concepts. I really spend my time hanging with him and 1-2 other dudes because the others are guys who are eternally friend-zoned and think by acting unsympathetic with women I won't get laid.

I think I attract alot of respect from other people so they tend to congregate around me, but really I prefer to be solitary most of the time.

It's probably true that pretending to be more beta is a good way to go with most other men especially if you are more successful than them. This calms their jealousy down.

From this I can create another theory - that betatude and chivalry of middle ages was in fact a strategy for gaming surrounding men from stopping being jealous. Probably the contemporary habit of men complaining about their wives serves a similar purpose. Hey, don't get envious of my bigger house, multiple cars and boat - my wife is a witch who makes me sleep on coach and gets furious when I forget to take out trash.

Could it be that some men are beta with women on purpose because they feel guilty about being to successful? Or that they need to play vulnerability game for their electorate/employees/vassals/slaves to keep them pacified?


To those who make a fuss about a missing p in alpha - go and kill yourselves.

My native language has the blessing of being logically structured and all words are pronounced as they are written, so sometimes I tend to forger mute letters in other languages. If a single letter missing ruins your day then you have some serious issues.

If you're irritating men because you're alpha you're probably not doing it right. Just because you're alpha doesn't give people a reason to dislike you. If anything you should be setting an example and people should be wanting to learn from you. Of course there will always be haters. But the saying "If you have haters it must mean you're doing something right," isn't always correct. Sometimes people have haters because they are just straight up douche bags and they don't see it. Here's a good example of why someone may not like you because of being alpha: Maybe you haven't known them long and you start dishing out some alpha philosophy like, "Man, you need to quit being such a SIMP," type comment. That's not going to go over well. If you want to dish out some alpha advice to a beta, you have to do it in small doses. If you're starting to get to know them and realize they have trouble with women throw in some advice here and there, but do it lightly. A beta doesn't see things the way an alpha does and it takes time to make the conversion. Sometimes I know I can give sound advice but realize it may sound crazy to tell a beta what I really think, so I'll keep it to myself and pass on some sound advice in little doses, and don't come off too strong. A beta may think you're crazy if you told him to ignore the girl he's going after because she is giving a bitchy attitude and talk to other girls, which may make her jealous. He will think, "That's crazy. Why would I talk to other girls, she's the one I want." While you should never sacrifice what you believe in, you don't always have to speak what you feel. Sometimes you have to let people figure out things for themselves. Maybe this doesn't even apply to you. But this is just one instance I could think of why a beta would get fed up with an alpha attitude.

I knew this friend for a long time and that time was very saturated, with both of us helping each other around and doing lot of things in other areas. So it was appropriate for me to be frank with him.

Initially he listened to my advice until I gave him a very bold advice that sounded too crazy for him: "Arrange meeting with this girl and do not show up" I gave this advice because he was beta-orbiting a girl for a long time and had made himself too available. He had been on like 10 long dates with the girl, but still had no clue how to escalate physical intimacy, he had started talking about their relationship status instead on some 5th date. The girl naturally was reluctant, because how can she agree to a relationship with a guy who doesn't even know how to kiss her. So she didn't say neither yes or no. Since he was afraid from physical escalation like a devil from cross and had a stubborn belief that a woman should make the first move (probably he has watched too many Holywood movies, reinforced by his only ex who indeed kissed him first (and was dominating the whole 6-year relationship afterwards)), I told him that if he insists for the girl to orally agree to a relationship without intimate touches or touch/kiss himself first, then he must limit his availability and play very hard to get, not showing up to date creating fear in this girl that something better showed up suddenly (maybe a girl who was not afraid to say yes).

My friend didn't have the balls to follow trough with my advice. Even more he asked for advice to some other (older) woman who of course said that my advice was the shittiest thing to do and said him to do not trust me. So he accused me of giving shitty advice. Then I realized that I would have to explain him how it is always wrong to take the dating advice from a woman. But I just couldn't force myself to do it properly anymore as he was pretty disregarding to my words already and after all if he couldn't get easier concepts like the necessity of escalation then there would just be no way for him to understand the complicated somersaults of female hamster when she is asked for advice.
