The noveau-riche or upper middle class are obsessed about status. The truly rich don't care. They don't need to.

How many really rich people have you actually met, talked to and gamed? My main squeeze comes from old money, her father is on the board of a major yacht club. They respect people who follow protocol and don't get impressed by shiny things. They couldn't care less about your money, in fact they will often be embarrassed if you start talking about money or the cost of things.

Nobody said that or thinks that. What you don't understand is that women WANT to believe all kinds of fantastical things. They want to be swept up by a charming man with status, or knowledge, or fame, or money, or physical achievements, or brains, or many different things as long as you are much better than them in some way. They love it. They eat it up.

I've fucked/dated a girl whose grandpa owns one of the premier car museums (his collection) in the US. She made many times more money than me and her family was obviously very wealthy. The fact that I was confident (I had to push through some serious bitchyness/looking down on me for assuming the sale), I lived right by the beach, I was a great dancer compared to her, etc... played into my favor. She spent most of the time she was dating me trying to impress me with her wine knowledge, her ability to take care of me (cooking for me, etc...), and trying to impress my friends (many of which were huge nerds). Every SINGLE guy at her work wanted to date her. One of those hot/bitchy white girls that guys fall over themselves for.

I've fucked/dated a woman who is a very successful VP for her dad's company who owns a home in the extra expensive area right off a super high end golf resort overlooking the ocean. People want what they don't have or can't have easily. While a wealthy female is not necessarily going to want a poor guy, if you think that all a woman with money wants is someone in the same class as her then you're gravely mistaken.

I didn't say you needed to make egregious displays of wealth, I said you actually need to be wealthy in order to get with these girls. If you're denying this, then you're denying the hypergamy theory outright which I believe is far overstepping boundaries here.

Your supposed "main squeeze" isn't an argument since it's unverifiable and you could easily be lying for internet debate points (lol), so I'm ignoring that.

Also, the only rich people who go out of their way to advertise their richness are dipshit rappers and drug dealers who are trying to game hoodrats and golddiggers. I'm not going to recap everything that's been said in this thread, but it's clear that there are a lot of inexperienced guys out there who actually believe that they're going to fool attractive women from wealthy families into believing they, too, are wealthy without wasting an exorbitant amount of money and time in the process.

If you're trying to fuck a girl above your class (i.e. swimming against the current of hypergamous impluses) you're going to end up one of two people:

1. Dating an ugly or borderline ugly rich girl (which are probably the ones you were dating).

If you're not rich and don't live the rich life, then the women are going to be able to tell. You don't have the same nuances in behavior and taste, you don't know the same people, and don't have the same things. Trust me, they'll be able to tell.

I've also known broke dudes who have been gamed by rich girls, but this is only when the girls are the bottom of the barrel of their social cohort (i.e. ugly or suffering from severe psychological illnesses). i'm a lawyer and went to an ivy league, i can confirm this makes it much easier to get into the panties of superhot white chicks who come from wealthy families. Problem is, you have to be really careful about making them think you're not a player. I was hanging out with 2 guys tonight who are not rich who both date rich hotties non-exclusively. Neither of them are rich. Yes, I've seen photos and they are hot girls. They are wealthy as fuck too.

I grew up in NY suburbs and hung out with many true WASPs...the really hardcore WASPy scene is filled with guys who do a lot of drugs and drink like crazy but dont get laid alot. The guys definitely have a well defined look which is like preppy on steroids (longer hair, oxford cloth button down,beat up loafers, etc) and some of them do it well but most have no game. Also these people may be very rich but they do not like talking about money unlike other groups of rich people in NY that are more "new money"....definitely dont play up going to law school as that is as boring as it gets. At a place like Dorrians just run normal game and dont be intimidated just because you dont have a good story about getting thrown out of prep school when u were 14...these girls are tremendously bored, are sick of the type of guy described above, and respond to the same emotions all women do even tho they may be more intimidating at first.

I mean like they literally dont get laid often and dont know how to talk to women outside of their social circle. Half the guys in a place like dorrians who look cool because their super preppy look is unique to an outsider really have nothing going on with women.
