The Hennessey piece is good. It throws everyone's priors in their face and yet no one admits it. I've seen a half dozen articles trying to play it down with stuff like, He's incurious, He's not thoughtful..... instead of just admitting to being wrong. Others go on about how intellect does not make a great president. No shit. Where were you at back in 2008 when everyone and their dog had a constant flow of Obama's-so-smart diarrhea coming out of their mouths?

It goes both ways though. I commented on another somewhat conservative forum sometime last year about how as far as experience goes Obama's 4 years of being president trumps anything Romney had but no one would have it, 4 years of failure isn't good experience or something along those lines.

Basically everyone should just admit that ideology trumps everything else, experience and intelligence included.

Nobody says Alphas make good executives, that's actually meant for sociopaths but for the role of President you can skate by on it. You really don't do much when you get up there your job is to break deals, frame things publicly and that's it. You know everything when you have that job but then you also know nothing.

I watched a documentary a while back about that first pitch Bush threw. They said Bush prepared fiercely for that first pitch and spent 3 weeks preparing for a perfect pitch. It was in 2001 a month right after 9/11 and he didnt want to be seen by Americans as a weak leader or person in any way if he threw the pitch wrong in any way, especially in Yankee stadium in New York where it all happened. In contrast to Obama where he didnt really give a shit haha.

Bush SAT Verbals at 566 out of 800. Very, very average. Would never in a gazillion years have gotten into Yale/Harvard without pull. Or into the presidency.

Bush's 640 Math is respectable, I got 650 and passed calculus 1 and 2, but I had to study, which I usually don't except for hard science courses..

I think that Obama just tries to seem as though he doesn't give a fuck, when that really isn't the case. People hype him up and act like he was a talent in basketball, yet at the same time the White House ordered all of the videos from his high school days to be removed 'due to copyright infringement' so that people didn't see how good he really is.

Yah, Bush never struck me as stupid, jut not an academic type. He's probably not a guy who reads a lot for his own. He grew up in a powerful political family so he grew up seeing how the power of politics works. He learned enough to understand how the political game works.
