I don't get why some people are so offended that gay people can be featured on television kissing. There's no problem with it. Live and let live.

I try not to be too PC, but I have to admit, I sympathise with Indian men, because it's really hard for them to date outside their race.

Funny, a friend of mine who's Indian always was banging cuties from all races. He never even thought about Indian guys being looked down upon.

A lot of good answers in this thread.

We're talking about warped language with a specific agenda to change people's beliefs, propaganda in other words. If we were in say, the Middle Ages with an omnipotent Catholic Church, the propaganda might be in favor of divine belief. Now, we live in an age of omnipotent liberalism that frames the debate. Unless you've grown up entirely divorced from modern American culture, your speech is shot through with liberal phrasing that makes it hard to question liberal belief. Consider how people use the term 'disadvantaged' to describe the poor. It begs the question, who is disadvantaging them? And thus, the implication is, we are obligated to correct that, with things like... welfare.

One sentence summary:

If you knew the truth, you wouldn't be a liberal.

For instance, I did a little research on AIDS, and did an article on it - http://www.returnofkings.com/3882/the-truth-about-aids . Would people run marathons for AIDS research funding, if they knew the truth about AIDS, that it's spread by druggies and homosexuals being irresponsible? Would people be as inclined to support homosexual marriage, if they knew that monogamy, for many homosexual couples, is not a feature (link: http://www.nytimes.com/2010/01/29/us/29s....html?_r=0 _? ) Would people get riled up about a woman crying about domestic abuse if it was found the woman would not touch a man who was *not* abusive? Learning the truth is apt to take the wind out of your sails to pursue a liberal agenda. So you mask the truth instead, and keep people thinking they're on the right path.

Republicans are not much better, if only because they are too stupid to reject the frame that the left has erected. And there are often areas in which Republican doctrine is no better, eg neoconservative foreign policy.

It's annoying and kids don't need to be watching that shit. It shows on regular Fox, not a cable channel and is a high school themed show that attracts youngsters. The media is trying to get everyone obsessed with gays like they are.

Culture is dictated top to bottom: from media>government> universities and schools>corporations and etc. The media has become the epicenter for political and social change in this country; in short, it is the sole socializing force in America today. Before the advent of the TV, the church acted as the sole socializing force (BTW I'm not religious). And because most people tune into the idiot box 30-35 hrs a week, they are inundated with pc notions of egalitarianism and left-wing social mores - most of which are out of step with reality. Naturally, most of them fall into this pc-mode of thinking because they are lemmings. Lemmings are people that instinctively move lock step and barrel with their peers and other authority figures, without much thought. They take the path of least resistance so to speak.

It isn't homophobia, as I doubt anyone here has an irrational fear of gay people, or any fear at all. It's not even 'gay-bashing', I haven't got a problem with gay people. I have a problem with overly camp and 'in your face' gayness.

I also have a problem with third-wave feminism and feminization, which are typified in the pro-gay movement. Jack Donovan (who is gay) wrote about this, and he's one of the manosphere's best writers. If he found the manosphere 'offensive', I doubt he'd be part of this community.

Progressives love homosexuals, because homosexuals promote confusion of traditional sex roles. Honosexuality promotes butch women and effete men, and progressives see this as progress towards a utopia where physical sex is irrelevant.

You are perfectly defining the issue i have with homosexuality and public interest. You cite three examples. The murder rate in the USA is around 4.8 people per 100,000. (http://www.deathpenaltyinfo.org/murder-r...-and-state)

We are not even approaching statistical significance.

There are other, more widespread issues that need solutions which might save a hell of a lot more lives. I agree that the public should care about solving the issues that lead to murders. But there are a lot more places i would start first to ensure we save as many lives as we can.

TL;DR - Gay people have social issues, but so does everyone else.
