If she persists after you tell her "it's complicated", tell her you're "in imports and exports." If she asks what you import and export, say "various commodities." If she presses even further, feign slight suspicion and ask her if she's a spy. Then when she tells you she's not, tell her she'd be a great one cause of how misleadingly innocent she looks.

Hell, I'd wear a suit in order to welcome interrogation. A woman asking you questions automatically puts you in the driver's seat.

Save that type of game for the hipster bars lol. If you're hitting up the see & be seen spots that G Manifesto hits up (ie. 1Oak, Tenjune, etc.) that Vegan Hipster game ain't gonna work lol. Wrong market.

NYC is the best city in the world for Suit game that i've ever been to. The issue is the frame + cash flow is rough out there. If you go to a high end spot without girls good luck man, you're cooked. Also don't be going to the LES with a suit on you'll look like a d-bag.

Also you're getting a "bump" by going out dressed down, bc I would assume your casual wear shows off your fitness.

So many issues with this post I don't know where to start.

This is like trying to give cpr to a little gay chronic Aids patient with his limbs chopped off by a chainsaw.

So you do it "once per year", and you are giving advice?

Makes sense.

Big problem. Don't go out after work. Don't go out in a "work suit".

Sounds like a Game issue. Not a suit issue.

Maybe.

This has to be the 50th or 60th Suit denier thread.

And they are all the same:

- Guy tries it once.
- Guy is in a crap suit.
- Guy is in a crap venue.
- Guy spits crap Game.
- Guy gets stumped by Game basics.
- Guy complains and whines why it doesn't work.

If you take short cuts all the time, you end up in the wrong place.

This may only be surpassed by Cigarette Threads. Which also follow the same formula.

The most interesting thing is that since the first Playboy walked the earth, the only consistants have been Cigarettes and Custom Suits.

If there are any famous Playboys that didn't smoke or wear suits (no one has really been about to name one), I could show you 1000 Playboys who smoked and dressed Custom.

It's irrefutable.

RE: "Suit" game is not good for Manhattan...
I use to wear cheap suits from macy, and realize it was not up to par....and you can till a cheap suit from a good suit....if I can tell, a women can tell.

I now wear italian suits made in italy, not china or india...a suit can make a big difference if you wear it to the right places, like a high end night club or lounge or more importantly a job interview or meeting.....suit game ain't gonna work at happy hours at applebee, chili's, outback, or a divebar....

most noobs have never even seen a real italian suit, most of them think a suit is a suit...and they think by wearing 200 dollar macy suits, and expect pussy to fall from the sky...

Its like comparing a 200 dollar watch at macy, to a rolex..

Bottom line, use your money wisely, don't spend it on cars, beer, guns and video games...spend it on a good price suit from italy....

PS, I have a friend he makes 100k and he doesn't own an italian suit, he wears a macy suit....and he wonders why girls don't think he is attractive...he looks like he makes 30k and is a busser at apple bee's... furthermore he owns a 35k subraru STI, the guys wasted 35k on a pocket rocket, he could bought a decent suit and use the rest of the money to travel to eastern europe...what a waste......also he never left the country...

Here is what a Suit did to my Game in NYC. If a guy with my level of Game from Midwest USA can do it. NY Players can do it for sure.

Around the same time as my trip Slubu refuted a thread saying NY is tough for players.

I am thinking the same thing this thread is an attempt to troll G......

To the OP take a look at these 2 sites or to the other countless menswear tumblr blogs, try to copy the looks and to see what works for you, I'm sure you'll end up realizing that your suit probably sucked and/or didn't fit you.

I don't think he's trolling I think he just doesn't get fashion.

Just because you're wearing a suit doesn't mean you look good in it.

You should not be showing up with "flash" in a dive bar, that's why he is seeing more success in grime places. He's going to spots I would go to where the dress code is a muscle T and -a banging body. Required asset is just logistics at that point and you will get better reations being the fit dude with muscles busting out of his vneck T versus a suit. If you suit up you must do it properly, hold frame and go to the correct places.

Suit + happy hour = accounting loser

Suit + soho or even places like the standard hotel = good

In terms of the "what job you do" the correct answer is avoiding the question.

WestCoast is probably right. Its also like when you have your "favorite" shirt, the one that gets you laid all the time, for me it hasn't been the suit...

P.S. Next time I go out suited I am gng to take a pic, and get some honest man judgement (no homo)

We emphasize our strong points. If you don't like suits and don't enjoy wearing them, you probably won't be able to pull off the Playboy/Bond look, it'll seem forced and the girls will lump you in with the "suits"/working stiffs they see after 5pm on weekdays. When I put on a suit, I firmly believe I'm dressing better than 99% of the male population of my city. I act that way. Girls treat me that way. It's not exclusively about the attitude (a crappy suit is a crappy suit, for instance), but one can't approach it like putting on a costume. That's what most of the suit-wearing men do, which is why Wall Street is not considered the fashion capital of North America.

Suits aren't the problem, it's the game. You can wear whatever you like and still pick up. The better you look the easier it is for one to pick up. The worse you look the harder and more effort you must put in (wit).

But to say that you're in trouble when responding with a joke answer to "where do you work?" you must be saying something to really throw them off. I'd respond to them straight faced and say I am a stripper. If that doesn't jive with her you can move on.

Otherwise the ladies will be in stitches and you will get their digits.

A "one on one" drink date can be accomplished at a happy hour where its a lot cheaper to get a chick liquored up. Throw in the fact that your suited and booted and it gives a chick a new perspective on you to show her that you can party hard on the weekend and clean up nice during the week.

It gives them two perspectives on you: the fun, lively party vibe and then the classy, intelligent, well dressed grown man vibe. It makes it a lot harder for a chick to forget you when she sees that your dynamic like that.

Weekends are for bar hopping, after parties and SNLs. I never heard of anyone getting laid after a happy hour. Nobody wants to be the office slut.

Happy hours piss me off lately. Most you'll get is a number. The girls usually sit at the bar and are surrounded by beta male cockblocking co-workers.

On the weekend I'd either invite a girl to meet up at another bar or a one on one drink date during the week. Sometime after 8. Gives you 2-3 hours to liquor her up, hit it and still get some sleep for work the next day Thumb up
