Contempt
There is a famous phrase: "familiarity breeds contempt". Psychology claims that there is an actual physical process behind this with the brain's sensitivity to little annoying gestures/ habits getting amplified by repetition (similar to a slight needle prick that gets more painful if received in the same spot over and over again).
Do any of you guys struggle with this? I have noticed that girls I see regularly quickly become annoying to me and I can't stand their predictable sayings, smacking noises, ticks (like stroking their hair) anymore. I literally need to get away from them for a few days at that point. I wonder if I am an outlier or if this is widespread and if so, how do people actually stand being around a spouse 24/7 (worst case scenario if they are retired or on vacation)?

RE: Contempt
I think you're just jealous that they're strong, indepedent and empowered.

But seriously, it depends on the behaviour. There are a lot of little habits that girls have that I find endearing, and those don't tend to annoy me over time. Some things get more annoying over time, and a lot of the time, something that annoys me once is probably going to annoy me more and more as time goes on.

There's also nothing wrong with needing to recharge and have your own space for a while. People have different levels of social introversion, and if you need space, you should get it when you need it, otherwise you'll just feel worse.

Chill out man.

Go workout more, or do some meditation.

Your anger is misdirected, there is a problem with you, not your surrounding.

Never take yourself seriously, enjoy life man. Find a way to be amused, not angry.

If you had to pick a fight with everyone you met you wouldn't last very long.

A lot of shit pisses me off about women, but the best way to deal about it is literally train yourself to on the fly think about other things that are completely unrelated to her annoying behaviours.

This is the best route because:
1. Most guys will give her a response, and hence keep feeding to her cycle of bullshit...

2. ... and that will amplify her interest in you since other guys usually respond to the dumb shit she does or says.
