This is a city where some man with the audacity to speak about the trials faced by boys in today's feminized society is protested down.

This is a city where, if it's hockey team makes the playoffs, even if they get smacked in four or five games in the first round (which is the most likely result), there will be people cheering and dancing in the streets like Earth Mother Gaia, the Goddess of Femininity and Tolerance, just showed up and decided to walk around giving out life lessons and free blowjobs, and three years later will still be talking about it.

Do you see where I'm going with all this? Minor, inconsequential shit (well okay, the gun-violence isn't minor or inconsequential, but it's certainly not a city where you're unsafe walking alone at night) gets blown out of proportion. Relevance is given to things that are irrelevant, and this impacts the personality of the locals far deeper than you can imagine.

Not just the events and the news; everything is overstated in Toronto; the political correctness (I read that the new premier is a dyke...get the fuck outta here), the Feminism, the sensationalized news, the gradual Socialization of the country; if you hate one aspect of Canadian culture in a place like Moose Jaw, Digby or Flin Flon, it's fifty times worse in Toronto. The city is simultaneously self-important and afraid of anything that differs even slightly from the mean. As women take their cues largely from the environment that they live in (how many times you meet a girl and she meets new friends, and suddenly she's walking, talking and acting like them?), you can't help but make the obvious connection; Toronto women's shitty attitudes come from the sensationalized, staid environment in which they live.

Add in thirsty guys with no game, nightmarish logistics and the fact that most of the choicest girls are locked into LTRs (though I've found quite many of them like to have a 'secret' guy on the side, either for the purpose of variety, affirmation or monkey-branching...I have been more than one girl's 'secret' guy, and my game veers more into chilled-out and icy-veined pimp than dancing-clown skullduggery, something to consider; because they have so many options, building attraction with Toronto lizards is more important than building rapport) you can see why it's not exactly a super-easy scene. To get laid consistently with high-quality women in Toronto, you basically need at least intermediate-level game (among which having good frame is paramount - these chicks will test you until the day you drop dead) and three of four things; a good social circle, favorable logistics, status or reputation and CA$H. It's also a place where you almost need to be good looking and sharply-dressed to even stand a chance, but I'm not wanting to ignite the powder-keg of looks versus game.

The real sad thing? With the massive variety of girls (where else can you bang a hipster girl, a Puerto Rican girl, an Okinawan girl and a blonde-haired-blue-eyed co-ed in the same month, outside of NYC?), Toronto really could be great, but it's always been a place where people come to work and make a living, not to live it up, and what does this create? thirsty guys with zero game and self-important women.

The upside? If you put in the work and get the results, you massively flatten your game learning curve.

I actually heard the term 'monkey-branching' from my (based in Toronto) friend, and it's definitely a thing, the female-version of plate-spinning.

Massive importance added to everyday occurrences (Toronto is a very fertile breeding ground for manufactured drama) + Corporate atmosphere (Watch a Leafs or Raptors game and count the number of suits and guys on their Blackberries) + terrible logistics (the only way you can reasonably expect to do damage without a car is if you live in the tiny square between St. Clair, Bathurst and the DVP) + ridiculously expensive + over-the-top Feminism and PC + the birthplace of PUA (these girls have seen it all) = Not an easy place for an overwhelming percentage of men to get laid (I also get the feeling that the ratios are off).

Yet another sad thing? There is some good talent there; not a top-scene like Miami, Montreal or NYC, but definitely charting up near the top of the second-tier. Unfortunately, all the Feminism, political correctness, bad game and alarmist tendencies means that the best girls have boyfriends (or again, a boyfriend and a fuck-buddy that they'll call every few weeks, good gig if you can get it) and all the average girls think that they're hot and act it.

I have little doubt when a guy like G (who has game, wears suits, carries a bankroll and stays in top spots close to the action) says he does well here; Toronto girls eat guys like that up, considering that the mean level of game is worse than anywhere else in North America outside of the hipster-infested Pacific Northwest.

But not all of us have 20 years in the game, wear suits, stay in the centre and carry fat stacks of cash with us everywhere we go. I know that there has to be something we're all overlooking; something small, something big, I don't know, but I KNOW that there is some way that the place can be cracked...

Hey guys, just an update I thought I'd share. There doesn't seem to be a better thread to post this since this is a Toronto related thread.. A guy I knew from Toronto who used to work as a promoter a few years ago told me that he moved to Montreal and starting to promote for one club there. I didn't ask why but he said he didn't make much $$ in Toronto working the nightlife cuz of greedy/dishonest club owners/managers etc so he's in Montreal now. When I was in Toronto we used to go to Pickering/Oshawa for clubbing or we'd hit up Hamilton/Kitchener area for house parties. Dude Toronto is so ridiculous it is hard to believe. Another bad thing is that fights used to break out ALL THE TIME in Toronto clubs. You take alcohol+horny dudes+sexual frustration+fat/ugly chicks turning down guys, and you're bound to have fights break out.

Another issue I see with Toronto is that Beta Orbiters tend to get the girl over the long run because once lizards hit their 24th bday they start thinking about getting married and they get to choose one of their orbiters as a husband.

Although I'm sure Toronto is bad, I doubt it is as bad as DC in absolute terms. I've been to the T-Dot a couple times and it felt like it had potential despite its flaws and early clubbing closing times. For one thing, it felt like it was trying hard to be an NYC or Chicago type city, but perhaps this was a good thing. It was also ethnically diverse, which could play to some guys' advantage (and to others' disadvantage). All in all, I felt like it had potential. At least it is not a political capital like D.C.

That being said, I am planning to check out Montreal FINALLY within a couple months. Can't freakin' wait to check it out.

Samseau I respect your opinion on alot but I got to defend myself here:

1) I LIVED there in 2007. I was there last in 2012 during the olympics for 10 days, and am typically there at least once a year. Definitely saw more skrillex haircuts and some more bitchiness, but broads are getting shittier everywhere.

Now I understand where guys are coming from saying things like "I don't want to be part of a chick's harem" or it's "too much work". Guess what? I don't like it either. But look at the world around us. EVERYTHING is gettting more competitive. From careers to women. The whole world is tightening up. Things are going to get tougher EVERYWHERE. Some places worse than others. Yes traveling works, but it's not going to be realistic for everyone so if you're only options are in North America, then just try changing some things up.

The majority of people won't get to live in a Tier 1 city so they gotta make do where they're at, and I was just trying to help out with that. You think DC and Toronto are tough? Try my area (Hampton Roads, Virginia). I mentioned this before in this thread but I'll mention it again. There are three elements to this area: The military, ghetto, and industrial (with a splash of low budget tourism). We have the Largest Naval base in the world here, the largest Naval air station, one of the largest marine corps bases, a large airforce base, a large army base, and half of all U.S. Navy SEALs (including Seal Team 6). So going out here is an entirely different animal. Yet guys still pull. Hell we go to DC because we love all the 'talent' there. My buddy is a SWIC (works on the boats that insert and extract the SEALs) and he cleans up house against the political and banker boys. The point I'm getting across is that in this world there are MUCH worse places, and not everyone will be able to move so they must adapt.

I lived in Toronto until recently.

It's ok. Not as terrible as some people will have one believe. Not so great for ONS. Occasional bathroom BJ here and there. Usually I'd get a date out of every club night out (twice - 3 times a month) that would result in a bang on date 2 or 3.

Day game was very flakey. Not too much out from that. Lots of talent though.

Great for happy hours if you're with a good group.

I got approached in night venues around 50% of my nights out around two- three times roughly (pulling number out of ass but its ballpark). Chicks range from 4-6s (7-8s with non asian ethnic chicks). Lots of IOIs make my approaches easy and straightforward.

In Western Canada the quality of women is lower. I've had a good run in Edmonton from August - Dec avg about 1 per week on my weeks off from work - a mixture of online and night game. Shacked down for the winter for now it's slowed down a little (got my first on the road notch, not bad considering I don't go out during work on the road).

Compared to Toronto: pretty much the same, maybe a little better in terms of bangs/approach ratio during the warm months. But it's really hard to pinpoint.

Frame: Toronto, lived on queen st, right in the heart of it all. Dressed well, not suited up. Maybe the occasional blazer. Low key Italian inspired fashion. Ie. sweaters, ties, etc. if you live in butt fuck suburbia (not Mississauga/Milton, that's a different beast altogether) expect to jerk off more. toronto DT culture has a life of its own compared to Don Mills, or Etobicoke, or North York.

Western Canada: same shit as above. Approached around once or twice if solo at the bar around 50% of nights out, ballpark-ish. If with friends a little lower. I get sloppy drunk with buddies when going out, have trouble reading IOIs but occasionally I'll find some eager broad staring and smiling. Night game, same as Toronto, lower flakes. Day game, all flakes.

Frame: same as Toronto location wise. In the heart of the most happening district. Only difference I dress down wy more. Jeans only. T shirt/dress shirt/v neck in summer. Jeans/sweater and parka in winter. Never wore parka in Toronto.

All in all my experiences have been more or less equal, save for a few notches more per approach in the warm months in the west, but quality is a tad bit lower.

The OP isn't too far off the mark, tight game, good energy levels, work your magic. Avoid getting sloppy drunk if you want to pick up.

Tighten your game, tighten your frame, work out, etc etc and it'll more or less balance out.

I may change my view after spending a full summer in the west. Time will judge.

To be fair, I remember in the mid 70s -- guys in TO were plain dick heads. I was young then, so it may have been like that prior to -- maybe even in the 60s and 50s. If any person was around in TO in that period, I would be interested in your opinions. From what I remember tough, I was very uncomfortable with other guys while in school. There were all these vicious fights, guys acting like they were tough shit, mini gangs, lots of racism, homophobia. I remember, guys getting in cars and sticking their heads outside the windows and yelling like immature imbacils -- while going down Yonge st. That was pretty common. You don't see that now. But TO guys were very rowdy and had shit character or personality. TO guys were always trying to impress girls in a insecure way -- thinking they were cool. TO guys were always competing with each other. There was also a "lot" of racsim -- between blacks and whites --- and most other ethinc groups to.

TO women were often disguted by TO men - from what I remember. Then with the Marc Lepine incident - a huge wave of radical feminism took over TO --and it continues today.

TO men of the last 20 years are of a different breed. They have taken most of the brunt of the feminist black lash -- and hence are maybe paying for the consequences of TO guys from the 70s.
