Not really. You wouldn't even realize that DC is a majority black city on fri/sat nights. Thats because most of the black professionals self segregate themselves. They go out on Sunday nights instead. But it's usually not filled with the young hot black chics that go to howard.

What you get is the over 30 washed up hoodrat crowd. To hell with them.

I'm not sure why DC gets so much attention on this forum but it is funny. It's not worthy of discussion in my opinion. Just come here to get money and advance your career but other than that there's not much to talk about. I'm kind of like G in that I can honestly bash a place I'm from without catching feelings. He does the same with SoCal and I think that's commendable. I can't stand when people aren't honest about the failings of wherever they come from. You can tell right away when people do that too.

I don't think DC is a black-majority city anymore. I think it's now just a large plurality (some % in the 40s). DC and Atlanta have been the top two major cities that have seen explosive growth in its white population in recent years. DC looks or feels nothing like it did ten years ago. The change is only going to accelerate. Best economy in the country so more people will continue to move here.

I still maintain that I do not find DC to be “as bad” as what is posted on this board. DC is not great by any means but I don’t think it is as bad as one may think.

Now my next set of statements may rub some folks the wrong way but what the heck….

I don’t have a problem with the “What do you do?” question. After I rattle off “software engineer and contractor for that infamous federal agency in Fort Meade MD”, that shuts up the chicks a little (usually with an agreeing head-nod). Once they inquire about education, I rattle off “undergrad at Michigan State, grad school at U-Wisconsin” and that’s that. On to the next conversation topic. Personally, I don’t how any guy gets frustrated with the “What do you do question”.

My next point….

ENOUGH with all of that “take risks” CRAP. Most of the time, folks want to mention that they take risks just to impress someone who is NOT putting money in your pocket. Me?...I take risks when I see a high reward vs. low consequences. Furthermore, I am not taking a risk when I see something that I can get rather easy or which causes me no worries. I will take a slower pitch right over home plate anyday…and sleep good too.

DC is full of nerds….and they are PAID nerds too. I know dudes trying every corny half-baked business idea that can find (while residing in other cities) and don’t bring in the income I bring. Is my pay based of federal government money? Hell yeah…for the federal agency that I do contract work for, as long as the USA has enemies, I have a job that puts me at the “mythical” Top-5%. Shiiii….I can shout out I am a math major and a nerd…while I “sell a dream” to these chicks about family, houses, picket-fences to get them to drop those “Victoria secrets”. Don’t get me wrong, I work out a little, fashion is decent (both are needed too), but I don’t have to aim for a bench-press of 600 pounds nor try to be some fashion plate while trying to PROVE I take risks to game the chicks. Plain ‘ole money works (or illusion of her having access to money).

To sum it up, these DC chicks are not as tough as it may seem. They have a shield that “looks” like harden titanium but if you match them 1-for-1, you find out that their shield is made of aluminum from the dollar store.

This is an interesting take and it all comes down to someones individual situation and perspective.

I can see how Urbannerd does good in DC. He is exactly what girls are looking for there.

It is funny, because if he tried the "I can shout out I am a math major and a nerd" on the Beaches of South Beach or San Diego, I doubt he would have the same success. People in those places wouldn't even know what he is talking about.

That is why I respect Urbannerd, he doesn't complain about DC, he gives the people (ie the girls) what they want.

And thus does well for himself.

I find this to be an interesting point. Do you think that makes you seem higher value in their eyes, or is it just to shut them down (get past the topic) and quickly move on to the next topic? Normally I never mention my credentials, which would pretty much crush almost any girl (or guy). I know I'm likely to be better, so I never feel like I have anything to prove.

It's mainly to shut them down. Keep in mind, my education/career is not exactly "Ivy Leaguer modeling mutual funds at a boutique investment bank", so I cannot really put myself as "super high value". Women (since more attend college) like to throw us that "what can you do for me" shield. I will admit, this is more of minority women (my target group) because let's face it, more "Anglo" women attend college and usually don't throw up the school/education topis as quick (IMO).

I reply with the education/career to shorten that convo topic....which means they have to think of something else for a shield and often times, they cannot before I can give my bullshyt....I mean, sell them a dream.....I mean....my mature talk for them, LOL.

Okay, that maybe makes more sense. If you're mostly targeting black girls (which I think from reading your other posts you do), that might be more effective. It's not a demographic I usually specifically go for.

The strange thing about DC is the womens' completely unjustified attitudes. Yes, the girls aren't that great, but neither are the guys. In Toronto, the girls' attitudes are horrible (worse than DC), but they are justified. Toronto guys are extremely attractive and the girls, even if you could wipe away obesity, are nothing to write home about no matter who their ancestors were. Toronto girls control the singles market and they know it. In DC, they really don't have that kind of power yet they act like they do.

While I'm sure guys buy girls drinks in DC, it's nothing like I see when I go to TO. I have to specifically ask my TO friends to not buy girls anything. You'd think DC girls would take the hint.
